...My friend Anna Rabtsun is from Russia, but now resides with her Filipino husband in Cavite, Philippines. While learning how to speak Filipino she has learned quite a few Tagalog songs, and she asked me if I would be up for a duet of this song with her. It's really fun singing Filipino songs with another foreigner. Ang saya saya! Hope you enjoy our acoustic rendition! :)

After Anna & I performed a free concert for the locals on the roof of a fan's home in Cavite we shot this video and recorded this song. A local man who was watching the show and helping us with our equipment said he knew how to play "Anak" on guitar, so we improvised and included him in the video. He said he's a fan already of our videos, so I'm hoping he sees this on UA-cam :)

I'd like to request an OPM song that I love, "Nakapagtataka", written by Jim Paredes of APO Hiking Societey and sung by both father and daughter Hajji and Rachel Alejandro. I love Rachel Alejandro's rendition though, the emotions pouring from her interpretation of the song is incredibly strong. Hope you'll cover this song.

Migrated here in NY in mid 80s, my first job was cleaning a huge store ... on my first day I was amazed that a symphonic orchestra music is playing Anak. I had tears as the music made me feel for my longing for Pinas. Now a retired professor I came across your version and made me emotional. Great rendition and thanks.
