I love your videos! My grandson and I will be doing car camping. We have an air mattress for the back seat. I am disabled and he is autistic. I still wanted him to experience camping. Our first trip was last summer for his 8th birthday. We had a tent then. We had to leave early though due to a really bad storm coming our way, but he loved it. :) Thank you for being an inspiration to me.
Your grandson is so very fortunate to have you. You should start your own camping channel here, AB Camping (NZ) is another good one to watch and enjoy.
This channel should have way over a million subscribers. Just a guy & his truck camping & cooking. No crazy hybrid vehicles or fake construction zone camping. Definitely the #1 channel for truck camping. Plus he enjoys a beer.
I don’t know how, but I just now found you! I sit back in my old age and live my life through you brave travelers !!! Wishing how I SOOOOOOOO wish I had done this !! Now it is too late for me , but I sure enjoy adventures with you guys ! Started off withJoe Robinet !! YOU MAKE IT FUN AND NOT SO COMPLICATED !! Thank you !!! STAY SAFE AND ENJOY YOUR YOUTH !!!
Amazing thankfulness ....for a place of your own......and enough finances to live in freedom. A roof over your head, a comfortable place to sleep and an understanding of how to live comparatively inexpensively. Love your videos, showing life that has real enjoyment of living simply. 💖👍🙏
Man you are my new hero, I would love to have a setup like yours. I have been looking at small campers, until I found your videos, and your setup is perfect for what I want. I'm so glad I found your channel. By the way your videos are awesome too. To just be able to really go anywhere and do anything with your rig is so inspiring. Please keep the videos coming. CHEERS MATE
Oh how fun!! I loved the whole thing...snow, yummy dinner, the guy hauling the hay bale, primitive campground, and geez...if you'd had a coffee cup we might not have discovered the Steinhaur jail, maybe. How fun would it be to get a map of where historical markers are and make a vid of traveling from one to another?! Thanks for another great video!
Love your no frills campouts, and the cool places you stop to check out... imagine the tales that little jail could tell if only it could talk...lol...ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO!! STAY WELL
I have an old Highlander camper I restored. Sattlite radio, solar power, power roof vent. For a couple of years I wanted something bigger. Then realized, All I do is sleep in it. The setup you have is all a guy needs.
Ok not to get off the subject. I've been racking my brain out to to see who you sound like. Was watching a movie last night and I realized this actor sounds like you. Judge Reinhold! Which is a good thing lol. We had another winter storm today. I see you had some snow too. Great video as usual. Happy trails 🤗🏕💕
I started watching your videos a few months ago because I had planned to move to Nebraska and I'm from the PNW all I ever heard of NE before was farm land. I have not seen any mountains like we have in Oregon but it looks like some decent camp spots out there.
I am actually enjoying your videos camping in public camp grounds. I know its not like bush craft camping like most all other videos but in doing so with these public camp grounds your paying for your stay and electric. This gives you rights of passage to be where you are and that is a great advantage. plus it allows for all of us to see these camp grounds and find the security in them as well as the scenery. I am enjoying watching your journey , watching through your eyes what it is you are seeing and feeling. Your truck set up is simple . not over kill. it works for you. I really find enjoyment in how as you go along you keep things put away, minimal effort when it comes time to leave. Well Done.
That was cool. I love how you stop at historical markers and old cemeteries,. My favorite places when I am traveling. BTW, fold over a piece of aluminum foil to fit the top of your skillet and voila! You have a lid. I have done this any times. Not perfect, but it works. Love, love , love your vdeos.
Really injoy the vids, like the length of time they run , I get a laugh out of the meals you make, if I ate as much I never fall asleep eating that late , don’t let me discourage you , keep up the good work, good job my friend
So great when you move off the main roads! History is great. Always stop at the local fire station for coffee since you are now a celebrity, tell them a cop sent you. Love the way you cook in the truck canopy.
Hi Mike, wanted to say this video was great, the weather is finally changing and it's suppose to be in the 60s all this week in Wisconsin, I'm hoping it stays, we had nothing but wind and freezing temps here all last week, so the warm up starts today onward.. enjoy your weekend and i hope you can get out more that the weather will be milder.... see ya on the next one.. I'm all ready to go camping as soon as i see a robin..
im surprised you didnt know what a clay pigeon hand thrower looks like. The orange thing on the picnic table. someone went shooting there lol. good vid as always!
Your weather is more schitzophrenic than it is here in Ohio. Last camping trip you had a T shirt on and today's is in a snowstorm. Your dinner looked delicious!
9:37 live off the land use wood that you find around your campsite so you can use that tote for storing other things then just firewood just a thought u do you
Thanks for showing us the old town. Beautiful church. In Oklahoma we have an old town called Ingalls that has an old bar, hotel and little grocery. It’s pretty cool when you find these old selttlements.
"The World's Fastest Indian" is one of my favorite movies. I was born in Invercargill, New Zealand where Burt Monroe was from. An Uncle of mine actually knew Burt. I have visited Burt's bike which is on display in a store in Invercargill. It's pretty cool! Great video!
Hey buddy! Great videos you do. I have a couple tips for you…. The foil you moved twice while fixing your pasta would have made a great lid, and next, try using your spoon to twirl your pasta in your fork 😉😉
Cool video! I'm ready for near full time on the road and I've watched a few of your videos and what amazes me is how much is out there to see. I pulled up google map to see where you were and where you might be headed for coffee and found a cool rec area on the map close by, Kirkman's cove. Wanderlust is in full effect!
Hey Mike, great eats. I would just place tinfoil, if no lid is available. Quite the old jail. Amazing adventures. Looking forward to the next adventure. By the way, what is the brand name of the grill you used.?
What a cool little jail! You really do find some cool places. I wish I could go out and see different places. There is so much to see all over. And you seem like you really enjoy doing these videos and seeing everything. And it shows through your videos. 💜
Interesting little town. Your dinner looked good and very easy to make, bonus! Really nice interesting, peaceful, video, something we all could use right now. Thank you for taking us along:)
You should go to Brussels illinois there's an old little jail it's an old German town. There's pere Marquet camp grounds and lots of trails and back roads for mushroom hunting I'm sure you like morels and fishing is top notch.
Enjoy your Vids added solar and 1.3 kwh Lifepo4 to my build for my freezer and power. My build is for Offroad 4x4 so has to be tied down well. I have built many solar pack as well that are portable. No need for shore power at a camp. Many DIY upgrades in progress... Keep up the vids mine are for sharing DIY ideas my way and how they work. Dan
He said finger flaps 🤣🤣🤣 P.S. Thanks for another awesome vid. It’s been cool watching your channel grow, as well as your acculturation of gear!! Your wife is amazing for supporting you 💝
Found your channel couple days ago, nice and chill videos. I do car camping too, have a question - do you keep windows open at night even just a bit to get air or no problems to sleep with everything completely closed?
Try the Zatarains Cajun Chicken Carbonara, it’s a bacon cheese sauce. It’s a frozen meal in a bag like that and it is amazing! They also make a blackened chicken one that’s delicious.
CQ, love your videos! You are so chill, but you also take the time to look around. I'll probably never see these sights in person, but I kind of have through your videos. Have subscribed, keep going brother!
Mike that was a great video again with the delicious food you made in the truck and that quaint old town with the little jail. looking forward to your next video !!
Wow that shrimp dish looks yummy, even tho u didn't have a lid u could have use a piece of tin foil for a lid it works for next time :) Thanks for the awesome video always look forward to them cheers x
I thoroughly enjoy you reading the Historical markers, some maybe called hysterical markers 😁, at any rate I seriously do enjoy the history of Nebraska and your channel! Keep up the good vibe!
Damn dude does it ever get warm there? 😂 Here is Sarasota it’s summer year round but I also want to get out of here and travel in my 4Runner but when I look at the weather and temps everywhere but here I say .. nope not yet. So hard to believe ppl can live in those climates for real! Below 70 here ppl don’t go outside 😂. Enjoy your videos very much and you’re a real trooper to do what you’re doing. 😎
I was at a private run campgrounds one time and the fire pit had no grate whatsoever. On my way out to make a run to a local store for supplies I saw an old grill by the dumpster... SCORE! As for the lid for your skillet goes, I got one from Aldi once, it's universal and has silicone on the outside that fits different sizes and is perfect for cast irons.
🧐 do you ever think about buying one of those Road pro little crockpots would have been perfect for a meal like that you could’ve had it cooking while you were outside with the fire 👍🏽
After a full week of 70’s temps it dropped down below freezing with gusty winds here in the South. Had to cover my plants with sheets. Thank you for another interesting video. I’ll have to try that Bertolli Shrimp Scampi brand. ☺️
When he was done cooking, I thought he wouldn't eat that whole thing. But I've watched quite a few of his videos and know he eats like a champ. Sure enough he ate the whole damn thing.

The red thing on the table was a clay pigeon thrower for trap shooting. Love the vids buddy! Just subscribed!
Yep 👍
He doesn't know anything about gun's. Kinda surprising too seeing how Nebraska is king of shotgun sports and pheasant hunting.
@@rowdybroomstick6394 he might just not be a gun guy, to each there own🤷🏾♂️ no problem with it.
