I love everything about BABYMETAL, but the best thing is the positivity they ooze. It's everywhere, in the lyrics, the music, the choreography, the fan interaction, and most importantly, the smiles. It makes my day every time I see them.
Spectacular performance of a beautiful song and a journey taking us from the darkest despair with even the stars disappearing to illuminating the whole world in rainbow colours. 🌈🦊
Awesome reaction! This is definitely one of my favorite songs from Babymetal. Not only do they have a ton of songs (60+ discography), they are all good! I never had a favorite band where I pretty much liked almost every song. You absolutely need to check out: *Road of Resistance (Pia Arena MM):* Same show, and their epic and staple show closer for a decade. 🤘🦊
Nice reaction! The song "Monochrome" is one of my favorite songs with beautiful melody, very positive lyrics, SU's great voice, and MOA&MOMO's choreography, all perfect!🦊⭐️🌈
Good one, thanks! "Monochrome" is a staple on their regular setlist since it was premiered live in early 2023. It has been performed live 121 times and it's on the 12th position of their most played live songs... which is crazy for a relatively new song. The song is not among their heavier stuff but the tone of those guitars always surprise me. PIA (P-I-A) Corporation is the name of the ticketing company that runs that arena in Minato Mirai (Yokohama). It's a music exclusive venue and it's apparently very appreciated for its acoustics. I still regret not applying for tickets to see these shows in April 2023. 🤘🦊
◼ 🤍 🖤 ◻ Japanese fans have told me that Su's enunciation is top level. She doesn't use a lot of vibrato, she just hits her notes cleanly and directly, like a boss. If you're looking for more songs that show off her range, I'd suggest 'BxMxC', 'Shanti Shanti Shanti', 'Rondo of Nightmare', or like this one, anything from the latest album 'THE OTHER ONE'. And the collaborations with Bring Me The Horizon, Electric Callboy, F.HERO/Bodyslam and Bloodywood are all high level somgs.
Hi SuMetal's(the lead singer) 27th birthday is coming soon in a few days on the 20th. Can you please do 2021 Budokan Akatsuki reaction for her birthday? Its a SuMetal solo and its so damn good. Thank you!
The girls have always known how to put on an incredible performance live, you should see from way back in 2013 at Legend 97 them doing headbanger and the very unique and theatrical version of Babymetal Death as the show closer. 🦊
When you think you get the message Babymetal is hinting at, it's time to take a step back and think outside the box. BM is very Zen and never come out and overtly say "this about that or that is about this". The pearl is buried in the oyster under folds of meat. Both of the other versions of Monochrome can leave a totaly differtent impression. They are The Lyric Version and Su's amazing "acoustic" (Piano) Version on The First Take. Oh, and I might point out that Queen Sumetal is from Hiroshima.
Would you consider doing a double reaction for a specific Babymetal song? The song is called "Megitsune" meaning female fox. I think it would be interesting if you reacted to their official music video first (Which came out in 2013 when they were kids) and then after you watch that one, react to "Megitsune Live at PIA Arena" uploaded by "For the Fox God" channel. (Which is from 2023 when they are adults) I think it would put into perspective how much the group has evolved since its humble beginnings and how badass they grew up to become (Even though they were still badass as kids.) It's definitely worth noting that one band member (Yui Mizuno) left the group due to health reasons and was replaced by Momo Okazaki (The tallest of the three girls in this video.) The musicians of the group are called the "Kami Band" meaning "God" or "Spirit" band. They are session musicians that play for Babymetal and they have alternated throughout the years many times. The badass drummer you are hearing is Anthony Barone the current drummer for All That Remains!
Well just as a reminder, since Su (the lead singer) birthday is coming up Dec 20, you should go back in time and checkout her 16th Bday concert and a song called Death.... Just search Babymetal Death Legend 1997.... and read the description, which would give you an idea of what's going on in the performance.... 😁😁🤘🦊🤘
There is another version of this song that you should also look at, which is the piano version on The First Take, it's more laid back, but it makes the song even more beautiful. For another song of theirs to react to though, I've seen Megitsune already recommended and for good reason, as it is their most played song live and is essentially a Babymetal staple. For a first listen to that song though, I would recommend the official music video (Which is a rare request for Babymetal, as typically the live version will be requested) Before you check out the feature with Electric Callboy, which isn't exactly a feature, it's a full 50/50 collaboration, you should check out a couple of Electric Callboy's stuff. For them I would suggest starting with either Hypa Hypa or We Got the Moves.
They are equally impressive front row at a small venue without the stage and lasers. MoaMetal smiling *at you* from like 6ft away is one of the best things in the whole world. 🤘🦊🤘 (And omg you need to check out some Electric Callboy, they are amazing.)
Babymetal is so versatile and skilled they have the ability to collab with other artists very successfully. The Electirc Callboy collab was the hit of the summer festival season. BMTH, Kingslayer is about as heavy as you can get... a great collab. Friend you have such an invcredible music world to exploer with BM. You haven't even scratched the surface yet. FYI: they can make some fantastic MV's but for the reall BM experience it is almost always best to go live. Great job you're doing.
Okay, I think, now we can safely say: Welcome to the Foxhole! 😄 Nice reaction! "Monochrome" really is badass and beautiful, even in a small venue. I witnessed it live last year, and together with 4k people I lit up the world, as Su-Metal told us to do it 😉 As many of us already commented on your last reaction video, BABYMETAL live is phenomenal. Their huge arena shows in Japan are so fire, every single time. Could you imagine that they were like this even at their humble beginnings? You´ll see yourself, if you do some more reactions to BABYMETAL, especially their early stuff. And you´ll get to know about the OG trio with Yuimetal. I second the suggestion from Thefoxgod9. Additionally, react to the live performance of "Megitsune" from the live concert at the Tokyo Dome, 2016. THAT was one hell of a show!
Babymetal only have four albums and a few collab singles, but it feels like more because the quality is so high across their discography. It really is all killer, no filler.

You will become part of The One (Babymetal fans). The One will keep you well informed in the comments about everything BM related so you get to understand them and why they do what they do. Enjoy mate.

One of the more amazing things about Babymetal isn't just their quality of their music, it's the depth. So many incredible songs from only a few albums.
I still can't choose a favorite BM song, they have so many, in so many style, each time i think about one to be my favorite, another one pop up in my mind, like this one but also 'mirror mirror', then i choose 'divine attack', but then i remember 'the one', and 'the opne' make me think of 'tales of destinies'....arrrcchh...can't choose ! 🙂
One of the iconic Babymetal production. PIA : 17K seated arena, with about 10K standing on the grounds. As already mentioned, the video behind also indicates, that the Monochrome firework is the Hiroshima nuclear bomb, with the words about freezing rain and the umbrellas in the video are about the black rain that falls from a nuclear explosion. Su-metal also asks in the break in the middle (in Japanese), that there darkness in the world - illuminate it with your light. (that is a better translation of what she says) This is supposed to be an uplifting song about seeing light in the darkest of times - rainbow of colours when there is a monochrome light.
Please take the time to enjoy all of Babymetal.
