My dad had this problem... his tape player in our dodge minivan was unable to play anything but John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, and occasionally ABBA, but mostly just John Denver. When his plane crashed, we lost a family member, lol. I still know all the words to almost every John Denver song 😆
When I was in third grade our whole school in Tempe Arizona, met on the carpet of the big gathering hall and as we “ began the day” one of the teachers would play the guitar every morning and we sang John Denver’s Country Roads!!!! Every morning!!! What a memory! That’s how I learned that song!!!💖
Sad, no bad, that we are no longer a peculiar people as we are ment to be! The church. In my opinion, is so anxious to appease Babylon that we are not interested enough in standing up for God and His righteousness. It’s sad to me to see other churches now standing out for correct principals than we are. I believe that we will be surprised at how many outside our church will be invited in to the wedding because of their deeper relationship with Christ than many within the church have because of our lost focus on the gospel of Christ and our new focus on follow the prophet. Be good global citizens. Sad to watch😢.just my opinion.
I hear you Mary! I believe that there are right now, Hundreds of Millions of Good Honorable people out there across America and in the world that would Love to join up with the church. But they cannot because that would mean adding there good names to a church led by Corrupt individuals. These people have worked very, very hard to be Honest and Honorable people and to become aligned with a church filled with Corruption, Liars and Thieves and the rest, is absolutely, what's the right word? Abhorrent or Repugnant to their good names of Honor and Integrity! Believe You me, they're out there and I feel for these Good people! I have to recall what Chevy Chase said in one of his movies, "I believe in a God that doesn't need Heavy Financing!" Billions and Billions of dollars, piles upon piles of money, Why does God need all that money? Is God the God of the Rich Only? Is heaven an exclusive Club, Only for the Rich? My Great, great, great, great Grandfather PP Pratt brought my whole family into the church a Long, Long time ago. And today I don't see any difference between that Mega Church in SLC and other Mega churches all around the world. These people down in SLC are in Love with their Money, Not God! I think it is true, whatever way you want to translate it, Jesus is going to be saying to a ton of people in the TOP of that church, "Depart from me ye workers of Iniquity, You Never Knew Me!" Steve Nelson (I am NO Relative of that man in SLC!)
I think I've lived too long I'm 63 now... I joined the church when I was 16 and became active when I was 19 went on a mission to New York City. I love the church, I just think the church has become more and more hungry to fit into the world... I joined the church in 1975 in Anchorage Alaska it has been a blessing it's been good I think in the 70s and 80s was the Golden Age of the church. That's just my thought. I think if President Kimball the president Benson could see what's going on... actually I sure they do see what's going on they would be somewhat sad for our slippery slope. We Were A peculiar people.
I was born in 1974, growing up in Utah I was taught the Gospel and baptized in 1982 in Springville, Utah and yes the 80s were a great decade. Once the 90s came about and the internet became a constant thing in people's life the whole world changed. I think if it wasn't for onslaught of the internet the world and the church would probably still be different. There is so much we can do with the internet and there is both good and bad. Although, we are too dependent on the internet. We need to ween ourselves off the use of the internet. I know I have a problem with spending too much time online. I hope that starting next month I can get into the habit of going to The Red Cliffs Utah Temple on a weekly basis. I have an appointment on the 13th of April. It should be good.
I agree. The church is not the same. I was baptized in a mostly military ward and even with the constant changes, it was like a large family. I've been in regular wards for most of my 44 years in the church. (Baptized when I was 25). The church has always been family. Our kids couldn't wait to go. But now everyone seems detached - so many activities on the outside. People seem tired and distracted. It's just not the same. People don't even smile as much.
Yes, yes, yes dear brother. It includes all the good people and not just the Mormon church. How vain of us to believe that we are the only ones who count.
I graduated from high school in 1977. Just a few days later at church one of the councilors in the bishopric told me i needed to get married soon or i wouldn't be "fulfilling my calling." I was a girl at the ripe old age of 18. Can't imagine that happening now.

Totally agree those invited may not - probably won't -be "members" only. I know there are many non-baptised who are far beyond (me) many Saints in their everyday living of the Gospel they have.❤
We have moved from "peculiar people" to become normal. Do we raise our kids to be normal in the world or peculiar? John Denver, Carpenters had their own niche, we need more peculiar!!!
There was this moment when the World and the Church were so far away from each other, and now it seems like the Church and the World have the same ideologies and it is on the same playing field. I feel as though as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gets closer to being a part of the world there will be problems. I feel as though we as a Church need to remember our roots. We need to get back to being covenant-keeping members and have faith in Jesus Christ.
I graduated high school in 1972 and 6 months later joined the church. That was my rebellion. My parents were anti. I didn't realize I was part of the 'fringe' back then and still am! 😊 I read Mother Earth News and loved John Denver. But I lived in Oregon/Washington...where many members thought like me. I homeschooled on and off, which was illegal at the time. I wasn't obeying the laws of the land I just realized. I rejected sugar, etc and vaccines until my kids were older. . There's more but I was the most faithful LDS mother I could be. I also began to walk through cemeteries looking for dates! My little grandchildren sing Country Roads and Puff the Magic Dragon (😮). When are you and Allie Duzett going to be on? I don't want to miss it.
Oh Brother Palmer, you make me chuckle! I’m your vintage and I get you! I hear you say out loud the same thoughts that go on in my head. It’s reassuring…that I’m not alone. 🤪
Great message, enjoyed the part about the new Jerusalem and the virgins. I agree with the criticism regarding a certain homestead on the second coming being "imminent." We all seem to be a bit off when it comes to eschatology. However, and I mean this with great respect, I find that we tend to ignore the prophecies regarding the New Jerusalem in America and the Ten Tribes in favor of what is more plausible and biblical. We ignore the prophecies in D&C 133, modern prophets, articles of faith and the Book of Mormon when we say that the New Jerusalem isn't built at least partially before the second coming and that the ten tribes, their prophets, and scriptures don't arrive to the faithful in a miraculous and meaningful way. Not all end times prophecy has to do with the holy land. The land of promise is important to the Lord regardless of our feelings and more will happen here than we sometimes think.
We also have to remember that the Saints moving west and building Zion from nothing and the temples and missionary work and immigrants from British Isles and homesteading and opening up new areas is pretty dang miraculous to me. We are removed from it so we may not realize it.
Wo unto them that call evil good, and good evil, that put darkness for light, and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Wo unto the wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight! 2 Nephi 15:20-21
John Denver's music was such an important part of my early teen years and to this day we have Alexa in our operating room at work and we play his music and all sing along. It's still so fun. I remember it was during the time of John Denver's music that I first saw a backpack! and learned that people actually hiked in the mountains and there were backpackers and nature scenes on our school folders! I am ready to try cardio miracle and will order soon. I enjoy your videos and find them informative and I am totally fine with you going into areas that are important to you and touching on topics that are not on your mind and think deeply about. I understand the things you explain. Thank you.
President Reagan toured the Church facilities and told the Nation what a great people we were and how he wished we were all as prepared as the Mormons were. I stood up proudly to so many calling us a cult. I’ve given out over 100 Books of Mormon without ever being a missionary. Without the Book of Mormon today , I’d wonder what I’d led my family in to. I’m ashamed now to be identified as one . I was recently personally attacked as being a cult member. I spent a good bit of time talking with this Christian Jew missionary about my membership as a convert from the lineage of John Newton , and that I believed we like many of the churches has become apostate , but my experience had helped me become a stronger lover of Jesus Christ who I considered my best friend. We really are living in the end times.
I would tend to go the opposite way on the 10 virgins. I think they represent temple recommend holding members of the church, and that only half of THEM will be worthy and ready with oil to go into the marriage feast. I look at those members of the church who only hold a recommend to occasionally attend their relatives temple appointments, and otherwise do not attend (and this is even in Utah where temples are very close). My temple is 2.5 hours away and we try to attend monthly, but I would say that is the exception.
Graduated in 71 and John Denver was da man!! His music brought peace to the soul. Lots of protest music going on at the time. Viet Nam was finishing up. I missed the draft by about 200 on my draft card. A true Forest Gump moment.
I am personally grateful to you and your family for allowing us to be a part of your lives and allowing us to pray for, laugh with and cry with you. ❤❤❤ I really enjoy your take on things. So many of your thoughts mirror my own.
We have been thinking about you a lot Brother Palmer. My husband had to have emergency hernia surgery yesterday. The doctor said it was tough but successful. I have been at the hospital pumping him full of Cardio Miracle and know it will help him recover quickly and completely. Just one of the many reasons we are grateful to have found your channel. I agree about the whole meshing with the world thing. I remember when I first joined the church in 1980 I didn't feel I fit in because I was a rebel. Married a guy who wore a beard, refused to can and quilt....😂 now I don't feel I fit in because I'm a Christian conservative. (I just cringe every time I hear someone use the word "global.") Rocky Mountain High!
Hello from Texas!....Houston area. I just wanted to say how much I love Cardio Miracle. We had some financial strain trying to keep our beloved, 165 pound dog alive after a coral snake bite, a visit to BYU for my son to do a tour, and spring break fun all hitting in the same month. I made the decision to not order Cardio Miracle this month and boy do I regret it. Let me tell you, it is in the budget for next month! Thanks for the reminder of the code.
I have always despised the "I'm a Mormon, I'm just like you!" campaign..... we lost a lost of special distinctiveness beginning with the 2002 SLC Winter Olympics. Pres. Hinckley invited the World to Utah - hoping to show off the Church - and the World never left.
Scott I always love your passion whether you are right or wrong and I'm not saying your wrong of course but your need to understand scripture is enlightening. I have pondered similar thoughts myself and you took me on a path that is still new to me and must do more thoughtful research. I love your idea about the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven. Your thinking and thought process is stimulating at least for me. Now I have read that the brethren have said that the parable of the Ten Virgins was about members of the church so this is my thinking and it is just that; a thought, and that is we know for absolute certain that at the final Second Coming, billions of people will make it through to the millennium. This will include along with members of the church, Catholics, Protestants, Muslims and even Evangelicals 😋, just joking, so the millennium is not specifically for the church, but what if the parable of the ten Virgins was specific to the Church, because where much is given much is expected and we are seeing how members are crossing the line trying to keep one foot in Zion while keeping one foot in Babylon will perhaps be treated, maybe I should say more harshly and many (maybe as much as half) might lose their special covenantal status and be excluded. Anyway just my thoughts spawned by your thoughts. Keep that fire in your belly well stoked and keep your thoughts coming because your thoughts challenge my sometimes complacency.
I’m recently came across this comment from Joseph Fielding Smith: “The words of the prophets are rapidly being fulfilled, but it is done on such natural principles that most of us fail to see it”. I am grateful for the spirit of revelation. I am still learning this and how to interpret but I’m trying. I’m grateful for your insights and discussions. I pray for your family that you may abide with the Savior until sweet little Jane is back in your arms again. Tender hugs feelings being sent your way. ❤️
Bro Palmer I am with you we are only 0.2% of the world population. The Lord told us he is not a respecter of persons. The lord loves us all otherwise he would have never given his blood for all of us. He is the savior of the world the savior of all mankind.
I grew up in the John Denver era. I LOVED his music. His voice was powerful. He had a gift of communicating songs that touched the heart. He was the only one that I ever went to see in a concert. I knew nothing of his private life, other than the fact that he loved Annie. I knew every word of every song of his and played guitar and sang his songs. Everyone remembers where they were the day JFK died. I remember where I was the day John Denver died. I never idolized any star or singer. But I cried that day. His music was so much a part of those young adult years. He remains to this day one of my favorite singers. His music and songs were like none other. 🎵Almost Heaven, West Virginia...🎶 Of course it helped that I was born and raised there. 🎶... I hear her voice in the morning hours she calls me. Radio reminds me of my home far away...🎶 ua-cam.com/users/shortsBEet6CsGyxc
We lost a lot of institutional and cultural memory & wisdom when the World War Two generation (and those older) died out - among the people, as well as those in Leadership....
I think you are correct. There are a lot of different types of missionaries, and that includes service missionaries, family history missionaries, and all the other types of missionaries. I think when Christian Homestead does his spreadsheets, he wants to document various things about the signs of the last days. I have had time to follow his spreadsheets, and I do watch a lot of other UA-camrs including the last dispensations and cwic media and a host of others.
I’m late to this one but had an interesting thought worth sharing. You had asked once, who is the bride? I had the following thought pop into my head. We do not have any record of Jesus being married. We also read “the first shall be last”. What if it is a literal wedding of Christ to his chosen bride, after all others have had the chance to be wed, and it is so sacred that only the most righteous can attend? One thing I think would be cool about this is family history work and all people being sealed to Christ. What if there were still some who weren’t all “connected” but this sealing somehow closed the gap to say, and completed all connections to Christ. Probably nowhere close to true, but it seemed cool.
I totally agree with you. I’m surrounded by great Christians of other faiths who are strong obedient servants of Christ. Brother Babble who baptized and taught me told me of others not members who had seen Christ face to face for their own calling and election made sure. So many members have no idea what that even means. How many of the people in Iran and other ME countries are reporting visions and dreams of Christ and believing in Him. Read Joel Rosenberg who loves to report those awesome stories.
Joseph Smith spoke of both a new Jerusalem here and a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. I’m not sure what you are talking about. It’s not an either or, it’s both!
@@watcherpalmerlds . Exactly, a New Jerusalem in the Americas that the restored church would lay the foundations of and begin to build. There's a lot more going on in the New World in the end times that just isn't in Judaism or even mainstream Christianity that our church has revealed. The ten tribes return here, not the old world for example.
@@abotgrenfield3006Most of the prophecies of this new Jerusalem have been fulfilled. My guess is that you are from the tribe of Ephraim. Ephraim was the main tribe of the northern kingdom. They were lost to the covenant, many have been gathered and have returned to the covenant. In both sides of the vail. Many people in the church are always looking for something in the future, but the prophecies are happening right now. IMO
@@watcherpalmerlds You do make some good points. I find we often tie ourselves into knots trying to prove that such and such sign has been fulfilled. Many have, elder Gong revealed that the gospel has now reached the whole world recently. But, many of the end times signs will be very clear like the sacrifice of the red heifers and the new Temple in Jerusalem. Many miracles await us, and many signs we thought were fulfilled will occur in wonderful ways we couldn't have imagined previously.
Josephs prophesy about the Saints in the Rocky Mountains as recorded by Wilford Woodruff: “When they got through the Prophet said, ‘Brethren I have been very much edified and instructed in your testimonies here tonight, but I want to say to you before the Lord, that you know no more concerning the destinies of this Church and kingdom than a babe upon its mother’s lap. You don’t comprehend it.’ I was rather surprised. He said ‘it is only a little handful of Priesthood you see here tonight, but this Church will fill North and South America-it will fill the world.’ “Among other things he said, ‘it will fill the Rocky Mountains. There will be tens of thousands of Latter-day Saints who will be gathered in the Rocky Mountains, and there they will open the door for the establishing of the Gospel among the Lamanites, who will receive the Gospel and their endowments and the blessings of God. This people will go into the Rocky Mountains; they will there build temples to the Most High. They will raise up a posterity there, and the Latter-day Saints who dwell in these mountains will stand in the flesh until the coming of the Son of Man. The Son of Man will come to them while in the Rocky Mountains.” (Conference Report, April 1898, p. 57.) While this may not state definitively that SLC is the New Jerusalem. It comes pretty close to meeting the definition IMO. From the churches website and my previous comment (just because I like to beat a dead horse) "The place where the Saints will gather and Christ will personally reign with them during the Millennium. Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent, and the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory (A of F 1:10). It also refers to a holy city that will come down out of heaven at the beginning of the Millennium."
Nephi said he was writing for those "not of the world", for those who had been born again. John Denver tells us he was born in the summer of his 27th year...Check out his later songs, Ancient Rhymnes, The Flower that Shattered the Stone, Eagles and Horses, etc. Definitly for those with ears to hear. In spite of weaknesses he was highly enlightened.
I totally agree about wasting time. I know some people who spend their time sailing around the oceans. They never stay in any one place long enough to have a calling etc. wealthy enough to not have to “work”. I was saying to my husband the other day that I believe that as covenant makers in the true church of Christ, we will be asked to make an accounting one day of what we did to build the kingdom of God on the earth. I’m not sure how bopping around from port to port is building the kingdom of God. I also agree that the things we choose to occupy our time with should be things that help us learn something worthwhile and not just time wasting! Ok. Nuff ranting!
Probably best not to judge. They may be helping build the kingdom in a way that is different from what you would think to be “the right way.” Who knows
Or they are probably going against Elder Maxwells talk "put your shoulder to the Wheel" and it's OK to warn others not to fall into that trap. We need to call a spade a spade. Moroni 7:15-18. It is given us to judge. (Righteously- as the JST adds. No final condemnation but a life of self-absorbtion is not good spiritually.
I 😘 ved to listen to John Denver. Let's stick to the man. Let God judge others and make sure you are prepared to meet Christ regardless of what others do. Agency is the key!!
Brother Palmer, I had no problem with ith anything said. The first quarter certainly had me wondering what was said . The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints I belive is Christ one true church on the earth in the last dispensation. While I dont belive we are the only people who will be in one or the three degrees of heaven I do belive Latter Day Saints are the only people who can be exaulted. I probly just don't understand all that you said. I do agree totally that for whatever reason the Church seems to be a lot more interested in fitting in with the rest of the world . That is still considered Babylon. Right ?
Brother Palmer. Then please explain to me why my PB says that my husband and I will be called back to build up the New Jerusalem...if you think this is not going to happen. You're messing with my mind, dude!
The foundation is already here! You have been building it everyday! Waiting for a future time ? Love what’s happening right now. Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, priesthood keys, temple covenants, gathering Israel! What more do we want until Jesus comes?
Yes!! I agree 100 percent with what you wrote, Brother Palmer. The building of the New Jerusalem has been going on ever since the Restoration commenced with Joseph Smith! It's here! The restoration of all things continues to the present, and will ever continue after the Savior's return. Faithful latter-day Saints are part of the building of the Kingdom of God on the earth in these latter days! (Many don't realize this truth!) We are all enlisted! Put your shoulder to the wheel! Let us all press on in the work of the Lord! When we go to the house of the Lord, pray for personal revelation, listen to the Holy Ghost, and recall the five covenants we make in the temple, we will receive the sweet, peaceful assurance that the New Jerusalem is, indeed, the building of the Kingdom of God on the earth.
In one of my husbands early family history his PBlessing said he would help build the New Jerusalem, that blessing was given in the late 1800, he as long since past. We may interpret our PB our way but it totally means something else. Hope this helps.
Our problem is that we confuse two things. The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven. We have been building the Kingdom of God since Joseph Smith Jr. We have to be prepared for the City of Enoch and Christ to come (Kingdom of Heaven), so we can be translated to a terrestrial state for the Millennium. We choose to be wise virgins or foolish virgins at his coming.
Interesting! 2 things- I was a big John Denver fan & there was no way in he double hockey sticks I was going to take the jab! I don’t always fit in- I try, but I think for myself & question absolutely everything & try to be good! & I do Cardio Miracle & it is a top notch company!
My experience in my Spanish ward was very different from yours there in Utah. We all wore masks but not all got the jab and no one paid attention or cared about who was vaccinated. In my sister's ward which is near my Spanish ward not all wore masks even. It really bothered my sister who believed in masking all the way.
I Love John Denver ! My father use to play guitar to me when I was little !! I don’t trust & don’t like our gov !! God Bless the families that lost there family members in the attack !! ❤❤❤❤😇✝️🙏🌷🌈❤️💋🌻🌸😘
@@ScottC23While this could true, however, In 1831, the Prophet Joseph Smith received a revelation designating the place called Independence, Jackson County, Missouri, as the center place of the kingdom of God on the western hemisphere. A city called Zion or the New Jerusalem would there be built. There also, the foremost temple to the Lord should be erected. When you look at Johns Revelation and the size of that city he measures, it could cover both places at once.
Totally agree that it could cover both places. The city will be 12000 furlongs (1500 miles) square. The way I understand it. A New Jerusalem will descend from heaven and another had to be built. If you search on the church website for New Jerusalem you will find this " The place where the Saints will gather and Christ will personally reign with them during the Millennium. Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent, and the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory (A of F 1:10). Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy. REALLY! My hubby is a big John Denver fan. I liked more of a beat. But still Annie's Song makes me cry. I S I S = C I A and the bridge accident seems very fishy.
Hey, I appreciate your insights, and know that sharing is of information does help open our understanding on the level we are at. Thanks you are a Blessing in my life ; therefore Keep On Keeping On 💥🎶🎵🎶
The difference between LDS and other Christians is celestial and terrestrial. Moving into the millennium is a terrestrial experience. There will be no distinction. Any difference will only come later.
It was an experimental plane not an ultra light. It ran out of fuel over the ocean he turn back and crashed on land. He was probably very busy trying to save the plane to be cursing. But you know best. As most lying gossips do.
Your information is incorrect. Not "a tree"; not an "ultra-light", for starters. Please do some research on his plane, with special attention to the location of the lever to open/activate the reserve gas tank. W t heck: "Some say he may have cursed on the way down to the ground."😮 Are you serious right now? First, "beware of anything beginning w "some say... Secondly, if your plane had stalled and you were on the way to guaranteed death, you would likely have a word or two to say. Yes. IMO.... Denver's worth a little post mortem defense.
I’m tickled pink to hear your perspective on who the ten virgins represent. It has never seemed right to me that it would be exclusive to Latter Day Saints. Thank you! Made my day. 🩷🤍🩷

Amen I say as well! Jesus will have to clean out his Own house First! I don't see a really great future for Russ Nelson and his Pharisees!!!
I would agree!
I disagree, I don’t think we’ve reached the Golden age of the church, but we’re getting closer to it.
As a kid from Louisiana, going to school at BYU in the 70’s , John Denver was the epitome of the mountains, which I loved.
John Denver > YES
Country roads?
Yes, yes, yes dear brother. It includes all the good people and not just the Mormon church. How vain of us to believe that we are the only ones who count.
AMEN!!!❤
@@sukt00 The things you speak of are the same things the bible teaches and the bible is for everyone as is the Book of Mormon. Not just Mormons.
Love John Denver! I’m a 1986 baby, my mom bought me his sheet music to play on the piano. My brothers would sing his songs while I played 😁🎵
I graduated from high school in 1977. Just a few days later at church one of the councilors in the bishopric told me i needed to get married soon or i wouldn't be "fulfilling my calling." I was a girl at the ripe old age of 18. Can't imagine that happening now.

I loved John Denver and raised my children singing his songs and the Carpenters and other great musicians.
Normal.... or common?
Peculiar!!!! To live in the world, but not of the world. I have no desire to be like the world.
We loved John's music. We loved the mountains and nature.
Will always be a proud of my country here, miss the old days where most of felt that way as you expressed.
I read Mother Earth News and loved John Denver.
Hopefully Allie will be back in town soon.
She's back and was on UA-cam today
You nailed square on the head when you were talking about the culture in the church. As always, I love all your comments. Keep up the good work.

The New Jerusalem in the USA started in Kirtland went to Nauvoo and now is in Salt Lake City. IMO. Joseph Smith was right! Prophecy being fulfilled.
Thank you.
Thank you!
Stand firm friend, this to shall pass and we shall be grateful for the trials.
I dont have money to travel but i try to spend my 'spare' time in the House of the Lord.
I really enjoy your take on things.
(I just cringe every time I hear someone use the word "global.")
Rocky Mountain High!
Praying for a quick recovery for your husband. Thank you for your comment.

Bro Palmer I am with you we are only 0.2% of the world population.
The Lord told us he is not a respecter of persons.
The lord loves us all otherwise he would have never given his blood for all of us.
He is the savior of the world the savior of all mankind.
Maybe 5%, definitely on the low end.
Radio reminds me of my home far away...🎶

I saw the Dumb & Dumber quote and had to watch… nice reference. If I drove to Colorado and only saw Nebraska… I’d feel robbed too. 😂
The New Jerusalem that came down from heaven in Rev 21 is the City of Enoch.

“Gooey love fest” describes my attitude exactly. Anyone who hasn’t listened to John Denver’s lesser known songs is really missing out. 💜
Oh , B. T. W. My favorites to this day is John Denver , Gordon Lightfoot , Jim Crochie .
Loved " Im young and I stick it to the man"
I’m late to this one but had an interesting thought worth sharing.

Respectfully, ill take the prophecies of Brother Joseph regarding the New Jerusalem in America over Jewish rabbinical teachings any day.
He said ‘it is only a little handful of Priesthood you see here tonight, but this Church will fill North and South America-it will fill the world.’
“Among other things he said, ‘it will fill the Rocky Mountains. 57.)
While this may not state definitively that SLC is the New Jerusalem.
Good call. Thank you!
Ohhh no…not my bracket. It is a family tradition. :) love everything in this video. The church is of the world.
@@breakingthelaws5379 yes I understand and I agree. Not judging just observing!

It will happen, we lay the foundations for the New Jerusalem before it descends from heaven.
(Many don't realize this truth!)
We are all enlisted!
Record breaking videos are to make money and keep his bills paid. Regardless if there is any truth to it.
I’m starting to wonder the same thing about that guy…

D&C 45:66-75 As I see it the wicked will still be around when the new Jerusalem is populated.
Make sure you read verse 64. The Saints came west to establish New Jerusalem. IMHO, SLC.
@@ScottC23While this could true, however,
In 1831, the Prophet Joseph Smith received a revelation designating the place called Independence, Jackson County, Missouri, as the center place of the kingdom of God on the western hemisphere. A city called Zion or the New Jerusalem would there be built. There also, the foremost temple to the Lord should be erected.
When you look at Johns Revelation and the size of that city he measures, it could cover both places at once.
That’s right now, not when Christ comes
Totally agree that it could cover both places. The city will be 12000 furlongs (1500 miles) square. The way I understand it. A New Jerusalem will descend from heaven and another had to be built. If you search on the church website for New Jerusalem you will find this " The place where the Saints will gather and Christ will personally reign with them during the Millennium. Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent, and the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory (A of F 1:10). @@abotgrenfield3006 In addition to my other comment. As recorded by Wilford Woodruff, Joseph Smith prophesied that Christ would visit the saints in the Rocky Mountains. The difference between LDS and other Christians is celestial and terrestrial. Moving into the millennium is a terrestrial experience. There will be no distinction. Any difference will only come later.
Hello from Oahu
Great video, thank you.

Hello 👋 from Arkansas
😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sorry, I really liked John Denvers music
So do I. The title of my video is a line from dumb and dumber
Haha if that John Denver is full of crap, then that could make you dumb or dumber !!
Finally someone got it! Thank you!
@@watcherpalmerlds Best line in the movie
eh, jd smashed himself into a tree, as i recall, in one of those ULTRA LIGHT kit planes. Some say he may have cursed on his way down to the ground.
I crashed a plane too. And guess what... I cursed when my engine first went out.
Second phrase was telling my passenger to "PRAY!"
I’m tickled pink to hear your perspective on who the ten virgins represent. It has never seemed right to me that it would be exclusive to Latter Day Saints. Thank you! Made my day. 🩷🤍🩷
