Merrill Ward was a great singer. I also liked him when he was in Overkill. SST should have released this on CD, just like they should have released Stains album.
My favorite album from SWA The album lineup: • Merrill Ward on Vocals • Richard Ford on Guitar • Ray Cooper on Guitar • Chuck Dukowski on Bass Guitar • Greg Cameron on Drums The album lineup appears on “SST The Tour”. The album is great from start to finish. I did bass covers of “10 Miles Of Hate”, “Until You Bleed”, “Simon’s Thing” and “Sine Cosine X”. You can find the bass covers on my UA-cam channel. I play bass and I like Chuck Dukowski a lot. I’m friends with him. He’s one of my top 5 favorite bass players. Würm, Black Flag, the Nig Neist, the October Faction, SWA, Fishcamp, Black Face, the Chuck Dukowski Sextet and Flag are great bands. Mr. Dukowski is an awesome bass player and cool songwriter. Chuck Dukowski is awesome and cool. Greg Cameron is a kickass drummer. He’s one of my top 10 favorite drummers. Mr, Cameron is awesome and cool. Richard Ford, formerly of Frantic Technoid, is an awesome and amazing guitar player. Ray Cooper, former rhythm guitar player of the Descendents🤘🏾🔥, is an awesome and amazing guitar player. Merrill Ward is a kickass singer, songwriter, frontman and musician. He’s the former frontman of Overkill SST. “Triumph of the Will” is a great album from Overkill SST. Chuck Dukowski and Greg Cameron are my favorite SST Records rhythm section. They’re even great together with guitar players such as Ray Cooper. Ray Cooper plays second guitar on the “Your Future If You Have One” album by SWA. Mr. Cooper is the former rhythm guitarist of the Descendents🤘🏾🔥. “Your Future If You Have One” is one of my top 10 favorite releases from SST Records. “Your Future If You Have One” is my favorite album from SWA. Other than that, cool:).
Thanks for your comment and the insight! I really dig most of the SST releases, including SWA or Würm, Lawndale, etc. I know, people like to talk a lot of shit about Greg Ginn, but without him AND Chuck, the underground scene in the 80s would have never developed so fruitfull like it has, with all those great bands on that label!
I’m hoping that you were just joking about as far as kissing Dukowski& CO’s arses like that, right..? I mean, I loved the SST 💿’s just the same, but I take it that you actually know them? Just saying is all. Sincerely, DJP Anal Cunt;Postmortem and Kilslug Sony; Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! Records @ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Greetings 🖖 😊from Boston Massachusetts Amerikkka naturally. @@thelawofitselfSo where on Earth did you find my original demos from the Slug sessions? Christ! Half of the band are dead; assholes and thieves who kicked my arse outta that act for treating people like human beings ( Thanks L.K! Hope you’re still clean!) if you’re interested.? Listen to the Ointment demo with the late, great Mr. John L. McCarthy and Billy O’Malley ( Seka then changed it into Stripmind due to an aging twat porn star 💥 of the same name who got ahold of the boys using her moniker so they needed to come up with something stupid, but fast!) Satan’s Sandbox ( also dumb as I’m sure they’d agree) was finally released by the band I take it and it really should’ve been released by a major label like say, TAANG!! Records and I can tell ya that even the two people I mentioned were in the dark about their demo which’s genius because of both their efforts and Big Daddy’s work on Lick My Gun. Jay’s got an amazing voice whether he thinks he does or not. He did on this number. Up Your Bucket 🪣 18th billion band of the same ilk failed miserably after I was gone and Jesse too ( Macca’s little brother believe me or not), but We did make some beautiful music together; just never knew when that knife was going in your back is all. 🫵🏻 Sincerely, DJP Anal Cunt;Postmortem and Kilslug Sony; Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!!
