Electronics Design as a service is dead by now or is it? That's the way I would want to go. I have no product idea but the electronics expertise...

Why would you ever think that electronics design as a service is dead by now?
If you mean you think it's been replaced by AI, you are so wrong. The AI electronics design tools available are all very limited.

@@PredictableDesigns No sorry, meant it in another way. Remembering the 90s an 00s (I was a teen to young adult then) that was the golden age of little bureaus of electronics engineering, 1 to 5 dudes offering their expertise to customers who had product ideas but no expertise in electronics (and may be other fields too). Worked pretty well then, at least in Germany, Switzerland and France where I'm active. But nowadays, most of them disappeared. I jumped a little on the topic since that would have been my dream for several reasons, but conversations with other people + my own result is, that nowadays, the people with ideas coming to you have widely disappeared. Nowadays, you have to come with the full product done. I've been told that quite many times, it's not they have a product idea and know that they then need some electrical engineer, maybe a software one, a mechanical one and such and go and find them. I've been said, that people don't have the knowledge anymore for this. They want you to show up with the full package done for the need they have (you have to figure out what they need or want).
The result of this is, you need to have the next big thing to convince investors - who only want one thing at the end: the big cash (emphasis on big).
The reasonable little bureau offering services, covering the needs for itself and the employees and returning just some little profit, is unattractive. Therefore they don't invest in that.
