- We all have our own way of making Banana Pudding. It's a simple recipe. But one ingredient really can change everything. And in this case, it makes it thee Best Banana Pudding Ever! So what is the one ingredient? Read on for the recipe:
Banana Pudding
4 - 5 ripe bananas (sliced into coins just before use)
1 box of Vanilla Wafers
2 1/2 cups of cold milk
1 5oz. package instant pudding (Vanilla or Banana Cream flavor)
1 8oz. block cream cheese at room temperature
1 14oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 8oz. container of whipped cream, thawed.
Place cream cheese in large mixing bowl and cream with electric hand mixer. Add in sweetened condensed milk and continue mixing until smooth. Add in instant pudding and milk and mix to combine. Once you have a smooth pudding, fold in half of your container of whipped cream, reserving the other half for later. Place a layer of vanilla wafers on bottom of glass dish. Follow with layer of banana slices. Spread a layer of pudding on top, being careful to spread it evenly to the edges of your dish. Place wafers all along the sides, with top side facing out. Then continue layering wafers, bananas, and pudding. When you get to the top, use the remaining half of the whipped cream to top the pudding with. Place a few extra vanilla wafers in a ziplock bag and break them up with a rolling pin or other kitchen utensil. Sprinkle cookie crumbs over the top. Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours, serve and enjoy. (This pudding tastes even better the next day.)
-----------------------
Homemade Whipping Cream
1 cup cold heavy cream
1 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
In large bowl, whip heavy cream with electric hand mixer until frothy. Add confectioners sugar and vanilla and continue beating until it forms stiff peaks.

Yes! My mom made it from scratch too! She also made it with sliced peaches instead of bananas and it is also delicious. Now I’m also going to make the peach version adding the cream cheese to it as well! 😊 Give it a try, I’m sure you’ll love it. Make a quickie recipe and make it in a pie plate! She did that too 😊❤
Thank you so much for commenting! I LOVE every one of those ideas! I can already taste how amazing it is with peaches in a pie!🫓
Oh I love peaches! Thanks for this idea!!!
🤣🤣🤣OMG, I was putting moisturizer on my face while listening to your recipe, then you said "green chili", and I mumbled "oh no" to my self, and then heard you chuckle. I sat here and laughed crazily. Either way, you got me good. As for putting green chilis in every thing, your recipes, your rules, and to each his reach. Love this recipe. Have a wonderful day Marcy, you are the best. ❤🤎💚
Loved your comment! To each his reach is absolutely right. Thanks for watching!
Well I have had an apple pie made by a New Mexico cook that had bacon, little chunks of cheddar, and Hatch chile in it. It was delicious.
Oh wow! That sounds like something I'd love to try.
Oh my gosh, that looks delicious and the presentation is beautiful! I plan to go the the grocery store today, and have added the ingredients to make this delicious recipe to my grocery list. Thank you, and happy Sunday.
I'm happy to hear you'll be making it. Enjoy! And happy Sunday, too!
Put the green chile in it! Do it!
Haha! Don't encourage me.
When she said that, i was like this lady is too cool lol
I like to add a sprinkle of cinnamon as well ❤
Yes! That looks so pretty when it's sprinkled on top. And it's yummy, too.
My son's birthday is coming up and this is what he requested instead of a cake. So I'm so happy your showing this because I've never made it before. It looks really retro, I love it!
It's an oldie but a goodie. How cute that your son requested it for his birthday. I have a nephew who always requests pumpkin pie instead of birthday cake. If it were me, I would use the words, "In addition to birthday cake!" Lol
That might be just enough for me 😊
You're my kind of people then.
OMG 😅😂😂 so I start watching and I hear you say that you’re gonna put hatch chili in it and I said oh my God .. what ? out loud , I thought you were serious that was the best laugh thank you. And this looks so delicious. I have to try it. It looks so perfect. 👍🏼😮
Haha! That is too funny!🤣It was believable only because I really do love chile in everything! I try to reign it in for these videos.
@@marcyinspired1442 So True ☺️
I make mine pretty much the same way. I always put it into a 13 x 9 dish because if it's in a dish that is too deep, you run the risk of not getting enough bananas and cookies (I use butter cookies instead). The pudding has such a thick consistency that a thinner layer is what is needed to even it all out.
Thanks for the comment. I've never tried it with butter cookies, but I know I'd love it. You're right about the thin layers, too.
This dessert was a big hit at our pot luck. A perfect match with Southern fried chicken!
Looks delicious! I plan to try it soon. 🙂
Thanks so much. Hope you enjoy it.
I use the same recipe for the pudding. I also put in 9x13 with Chestmen cookies on top and bottom. When I serve it works out as a single serving each cookie as a serving. You can sprinkle the bananas with Fruit Fresh and they dont turn brown as fast. ❤😊
Thanks for the tip. I forget about Fruit Fresh, but you're absolutely right. Using a Chestmen cookie as a serving guide is also brilliant, if you have discipline. (I need to work on that.)
Yes it is hard sometimes, it's very tasty 😋
Thank you for continuing to post! I love banana pudding. Your recipe looks delicious ♥️
Thanks for watching. It was so good! My diet starts tomorrow. Lol
I think i could resist 30 minutes ❤ who ate the whole dessert is what i want to know 😅
I don't want to say, but I do need to go on a diet now. Lol
It's not just you, they are always green
I understand they need to pick them early because of shipping, but sometimes it's ridiculous. They almost look neon green.
Cute,,, candied jalapeños might work. ;-)
Great idea! 🤔💡
Yum! I’ve a similar one with NO bananas, use chocolate pudding mixed with 1/2 large cool whip & that’s layered with remaining cool whip, cream cheese creamed w/powdered sugar. Layer the two “colors” & try not to eat it all in 1 sitting ;). However, this banana recipe is wonderful! You could also garnish with fresh blueberries 🫐
Soooo I made this and your sour cream enchiladas and the easy Mexican rice today….I must have watched the videos 10 times each….so simple and clear thankyou and my family thanks you……new subscriber 👀🇺🇸🕊
Wow! I'm thrilled that you made three of my recipes in the same day! Thanks so much for coming back to tell me. And thank you for subscribing, as well. Hope you find lots more recipes here that your family loves.❤
Marcy sometimes I have a hard time finding ripe bananas but i found some today 😋
Oh, good. That's rare these days.
Wow this looks good I've never had if before but a definite try cause your dishes are always bomb and chile makes everything better lol. Thank you have a great day 💕😁Many Blessings
Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. And I agree, chile makes everything better!🤣
Yummy 🤤 from Barbara 😊
Thanks, Barbara. It was yummy!
How often do you make banana pudding? And how do you make yours? 🍌My mom used to make her pudding from scratch on the stovetop, so I feel a little lazy about my version, but it is OH-SO-GOOD!
Only for holidays and reunions, mom made her custard from scratch too 🙂
My mom did too with meringue on top. The recipe is on the Nilla wafers box but this is the best no cook version.
Yum! I'll have to add the cream cheese. Love this dessert! 😋
This is how I've always made it! It's the BEST recipe ❤
Yummy
Thanks for watching!
Looks yummy 😋
I made it today and it's delicious. I held off from eating some about 10 minutes..I'm weak when it comes to sweets.😋😂
I just found you - I'm Binge watching for Cinco de Mayo. I would add a (very thin) sprinkle of Mexican cinnamon with each layer!
Ohh I'm so excited to see this video,

Hi Marcy, just found your channel. I’m looking forward to trying a “lot” of the recipes. I was wondering if you have a flan recipe? I would love to find a good one. Your banana pudding is amazing. Thanks for a new supply of recipes. ~Janice~ 😊💕
