- The Clive Sutton CS850GT could be a UK alternative for the Shelby Mustang GT500. Henry took it for a spin to see if this can perform even better.

They should call it "The Cavalry", because, well you know... It's got a lot of horses.
10th Legion
And it sounds like the cavalry
Should be the cavalry because they run people over haha 😄
Henry and his team do the best work in the business. So well produced. Such a pleasure to watch these. Nice car too.
Thanks, much appreciated!
He's good isn't he
Holds your attention start to finish,
Quality content each and every time👍
With so much quality content, I find it hard to believe this channel has not reached 1M subscribers yet. Thank you Henry and the team for your excellent work!
Can't be long now, surely? 979k as I write...
It's because they do quality over quantity and aren't whores to the YT algorithm like so many vlog channels are.
How many countries are still RHD? Therein is the limitation.
@@machtschnell7452 about a third of the world is RHD and showing no sign of abandoning it. Neither does it have anything to do with UA-cam views or subscribers - I watch plenty of LHD Euro/American content, and it's not like there are any RHD-only cars that don't have LHD equivalents.
Love that the automotive world is realizing that there are car enthusiasts out there for whom its worth to develop these cars.
I’ve had a bit of time on my hands lately, I’ve been bingeing your channel, to everyone on the team that put these together. Thank you, I love it!
Always watch Henry’s videos even if I’m not as interested in the car and it’s nice to see as a lot of the videos are film behind where I live . Great video as always Henry . 😊
The amazing technical details in the video is so amazingly matched with the entertainment factor. Well done Carfection Team!!
What a way to start the week in Vancouver! Caught Catchpole reviewing the only USDM I care about. Thank you!
By the way, you forgot about "Black Beauty", Henry. A fitting name to a car that can splatter a sea biscuit on the road :)
Another excellent piece of work. The classical music towards the beginning was a nice touch.
What a car, What a beast.. The noise is glorious in the days of manufacturers making there cars as quiet as possible.. Mr Clive Sutton, I salute you sir !!! Thanks again Carfection for another beautifully filmed upload..
What a spectacular piece of kit, loved it!
Honestly, I think I’d prefer this over a GT500. Bucephalus is a wonderful name! Great content as always, much love from Texas!
That whole connection with "Alexander the Great" does make me laugh. I'd suggest that it's more likely that the typical Mustang driver in Texas (or in most other states) would be scratching his head over "Bucephalus." He'd more likely be trying to remember if that was his mother's 3rd cousin down in Corpus Christi???
(my family bought a '66 Mustang convertible in '66)
@@MrGaryGG48 yeah that’s definitely not the first famous horse name that most people would think of ha!
@@lucasblanchard47 HOW ABOUT BINKY?????
@@alexbrown1995 🤷🏻♂️
I’d name it “Wrap-around” because, with all that power, many are destined to wrap it around any pole/tree near a curve or just after take-off.
Indeed 😂😂😂
Reminds me of the Vauxhall Monaro VXR 500.
Absolutely ridiculous, and pointless on most UK roads....
But I still want one.
Oh I remember that mad Vauxhall. Still one of my favourite muscle car.
@@farishanafiah8461 IIRC the Monaro had only about half the power this has, though, and it's a big heavy car...
Oh boy, when he said "it can't be that loud... Can it?" I knew he was knocking on the devil's door there hahaha
Loved the review great job man
This channel deserves that 1mil subs soon, its way overdue.
FInally Catchpole is a brand name! Keep it up, H!
I love that sound
A huge amount of engineering went into the engine / internals, cooling and stiffening the chassis on the GT500, not sure this build has the same level of depth.
As a shelby owner if you start with a mach one it would probably be closer
@@sonofagun5305 wrong...watch the Car Wow drag race between the 2 .the CS850 even didn't win the roll race. Wasn't as fast in gear or between shifts either. It's weak...
@@ahemgee9542 Its that manual transmission. It will always lose against a dual clutch auto.
@@ahemgee9542
Put both in auto & this car will smoke the shelby.
Aaanywayy, both this & the shelby are totally sick tho.
I'm taking both if I got the cash.
Start with gt350 and add a whipple. Good suspension and transmission that is suitable to build big power on. mt-82 in gt isn’t great
Henry, any chance of getting this 'Stang out on the track? Getting a proper sense of how it works at speed would be very nice...
I love the compression sound from the blower in the idle.
Brilliant as always
Great video! Love the humor 😄 Fun car for someone else to own! What a handful 😬
Henry is superb, and the production crew is equally brilliant. Deserves a bigger platform.
Carfection killer content as always👍
Props to your photographer on drone footage duty - always does a great job... :o)
Really liked the commentary. thanks
“Catchpole on Carfection” - love it!!
Brilliant vids and Henry's presenting is top notch.... miles better than top gear!!! 👏🏽 👍 💙
Nothing can match this cinematography. Keep it up! Love from SL🇱🇰♥️
That is one sweet Mustang! That sound is, well........that sound. Which is AWESOME.
Pegasus was Hercules’ flying horse? Great cinematography and review as always, also love the integrity/ honesty of the review as well. Bravo.
Pegasus to me means an achingly pretty Bentley shooting brake made for the Sultan of Brunei in the mid 90s.
Good damnit Henry .... how can every single review you do be so good?!
Savage car Henry another great video sir, better than Top gear 👍
supercharger whine reminds of the late 90s/Early 2000s F150 Lighting supercharger whine. It was a joy to hear.
great vid thanks for sharing
Kudos for the hulk reference!! Spot on!
I have a Borla Atak on my GT, sounds pretty loud on the outside, but pretty quiet inside?? No droning either.. sounds AMAZING in the forest.
I don't see what this does better than the Mach 1 edition w/ a six speed.
Great video, as always. Definitely wouldn't miss a chance to drive this, though.
Thanks Henry!
How about “Wilbur,” as in Mr. Ed’s exclamation, “Whoa, Wilbur!” in the 1995 Cobra ad? As an added bonus, “Wilbur” would look great, embossed on the steering wheel.
Seen this acouple of times really nice car well done
I might be immature…
But I want this so much!! It is absolutely divine! An unbelievable amount of (in this case justified) horsepower, looks to die for and most importantly, a manual gearbox!!
It really is something else!!
Love your tracksuit top. What brand?
This car is going to look great in whichever automotive museum it ends up in. Can’t wait to see one up close.
I don't normally like Mustangs but I like this. Also I wish we had more supercharged cars.
Was thinking that with so much power and torque available when doing the 0-60 just use second. That way you'll get close to, or beat, the dual clutch GT500.
The gears are so long in the 2017+ box that doesn't really work
call it a pegasus, they have a mustang big wings 😂
well made video gents. always a pleasure to watch
Hey Henry & Co.
It'd be nicer if you lot gave us a walkthrough of the entire vehicle's/vehicles, interior, glove box, beat-seat spacing, trunk etc; becaus honestly this driving around stuff is getting monotonous.
Between, Great work lads!
Love how Henry can barely contain the laughter when he goes into B mode
Thank for the Anglo-Norman lesson in etymology, Henry. Oh … and the Sutton Mustang is really cool; perhaps Mr. Sutton could make his creation available in the US of A.
Its like a roush with some interior bits
Given the suspension is all so adjustable can those handling traits get rectified through set up?
B for Bastard! Top video again folks 👍👍
Bro you are the best 🙋♂️
6.431 view but only 770 likes? why? what's not to like with this Chanel? nice video as usually sir!
Needs a lift system for the front axle, otherwise the front splitter will soon be mangled over speed bumps
Please do another vid the exhaust in B!
What a beautiful car! What a sound! What a film! This is 100% pure pleasure.
I have a "JDM" 1998 Subaru Legacy GTB (manual)
I parked it in a car park just like that, the night before it was due to have a new Catalytic Converter....
Set off 6 different car alarms just starting the thing up.
Felt like such a toss pot.
Great video Henry, I think I prefer the Shelby GT 500 as it has the pedigree and presence, however this version is impressive.
Top work as always chap! Pegasus as a possible name? 👍🇬🇧
What a great review. This proves beyond reasonable doubt there is never too much of a good thing, there is always room for more good thing. Awesome machine.
You have mastered the english language my friend.
Don't try crack c..... or heroin with that attitude.
@@greyguy.960 I have heard they're very moreish.
@@grid212 Yeah, it has been proven a few times :)
What is the possibility of doing a review of the Ultima RS? There are a view builders on UA-cam but I haven't seen any in depth testing or honest driving impressions like that the ones by carfection.
top as always... thx
Is the mesh on the bonnet slats rusted?!
"After all, Batman always seems mean and aggressive in the city, but put him in the middle of a field and he looks like a scarecrow." -Henry Catchpole.
This was way more funny than it should have been. For some reason when he said the scarecrow part, I thought of Travis Scott's crappy Batman costume a few years back.
the Mad Max soundtrack was a nice touch
The original 67' Super Snake triple stripes and rocker stripes would've made it look even cooler since it's cobra based, bringing some heritage to it
Great review! Thank you Henry and carfection crew for continuing to do such a great job producing top quality car reviews and car related content!
When Henry says its the best manual shift he has experienced in a Mustang, has he driven the Mach 1 or GT350 before it with the Tremec box? After experiencing a Mustang GT Getrag MT82 and the Tremec unit it the GT350 I can't believe that the MT82 could ever be made to feel as good as a shifter as the Tremec. Would love to be wrong but have always felt that was the Achilles heel of the Mustang GT even with aftermarket mods
I think he has, most of the problems with the Chinese gear box is high rpm lock out. If you put on a shifter like the Barton they tend to last significantly longer. The box in my GT350 is the same as a normal v8 Camaro. Still love how it shifts though.
What a pretty car!
I will tell you sutton it might have an unappealing name but the overall package is AWESOME!
The black Stallion in the books was named Shaitan before the shipwreck in the beginning of the book.
Fitting name
What’s that scratchy noise every time you accelerate?
2:30 Beautiful shot! 👍
Yankee muscle cars not really my pony, but 👍🏻 for another great video by Henry
Good show
Less than a minute into the video, I suddenly have a craving for a Venom-Hulk storyline.
U r amazing bro 😎
I WANT ONE... NOW!!! 😍😍😍
Tornado as in Zorro' s black horse?
That exhaust note! 🤣
It can be named Aithon (One of the 4 firebreathing steed of Ares)
The venom version of the hulk… love it 😂
I think "Sutton" is great. Like Holby, Burton, Downton... down to earth tuners names become special with time. Whilst naming the company after yourself may be considered self important, it's less pompous than calling your car Bucephalus. Now that would be over the top Americana - even for a Mustang. Go for it Sutton - best of luck to you!
Yay Catchpole!
Love the star wars soundtrack 🤣
This is one of those videos on youtube where every frame of the car is a worthy wall poster. I love this car and thank you Henry for giving us the details and the crew for capturing it beautifully as always!. What a machine!!!!!!!!
I’m calling it the Whirlwind, as it will be spinning into crowds leaving car meets wherever it is owned.
Does anyone else want Henry Catchpole to read them an book? What a quality review
What's the gpm?
Anyone else noticed Henry is reviewing a Mustang wearing Red, White, and Blue?
Beauty with the stud
CS850GT 'Armageddon' has a nice ring to it !!!
Excellent that a British tuner has stepped up for the 5 people in the UK who can afford to drive this car.
Hey! Try and do a show with Mr. Jeff Beck. He's a bit of a fan of American muscle. Please give it a try. Thanks.
I wouldn't mind purchasing one of these. Wouldn't think it be legal in California though
I'm sure Clive got a license from both Ford and Shelby to use the Cobra logo.
The Shergar?
