1970年東京でライブを見ました "Nick Mason"が演奏中飛ばしたスティックが照明の中で蝶の様に舞っている様が今でも脳裏に浮かびます。
I remember reclining on a dentist chair in my lounge peaking on ecstasy whilst listening to this album, something I've never forgotten.

Knowing that Nick is on record saying he didn't like the extra length of Echoes, he still keeps it in this show out of respect for our love of the piece. That's some classy shit right there. Plus, appreciate the hell out of the Guy Pratt, who in a different universe would be Roger's official replacement in the band if Rick were still with us. Dude wails on One of These Days.

Tante emozioni ieri sera, tra l'altro arricchite da tanti piccoli aneddoti. I due uomini di fronte, appena partita 'Fearless', che si guardando l'un l'altro e si dicono , la donna che nel silenzio delle pause tra le prime note di 'Echoes' dice quello che tutti pensano con un solenne , Mason che scherza facendo notare che Pratt, al basso, è stato nei Pink Floyd più a lungo di Waters. Che serata!
Non so se è stata solo la mia impressione ma quando Mason ha presentato il tastierista lo ha paragonato scherzosamente al pianista virtuoso americano di parziali origini italiane Liberace (pronunciato Liberàci), famosissimo nel contesto anglo-americano ma - credo - poco conosciuto in Italia. Infatti la risposta del nostro pubblico a Palmanova è stata piuttosto perplessa in quel momento. Per il resto eravamo tutti estasiati. La standing ovation era intrisa di emozione e riconoscenza.

@@Guillermo20665Imagine listening to dark side, meddle, wish you were here played by Nick Mason and Waters with other musicians, I don't think it would sound authentic, it would sound like a cover. The rhythm part can't have the pink floyd sound. Guitar, vocals and keyboard are far more important to a band's sound.

I sure love this, but during the really crazy “seagull” part, they should have shown an animated depiction of the off-stage members (Nick, & whoev) laughing maniacally, as if that’s the origin of the sound.

For members of band to duplicate ECHOES by rick and dave is very brave. They can never ever do that but since Nick is an authentic PF, i can accept it and listen to it

Scusate ...i Pink Floyd sono la mia vita....Echoes se dovessi per forza scegliere la migliore......questa per caritá carina.....ma io quando sento anche solo le prime note....no, non ci siamo....ho troppo il tocco di Richard che mi arriva, la chitarra di David che piano piano entra e viavia il resto con Roger (quei tocchi di basso iniziali meravigliosi) e Nick meraviglioso e unico...........so che non devo paragonare le due cose ma non riesco........
PS non a caso David,dopo la morte di Richard disse che non l' avrebbe più risuonata....

He probably wanted to play a nice song like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and the rest of the band changed it at the last minute to this obscure weird stuff. They should have listened to him.
