1994-1999 are best intros. 2003-2006 music are dramatic. and the latest intro is better than 2014-2019 also the studio looks larger. Next i hope Euronews.
What surprised me as a mainland European is that majority of the accents are distinctly English, with barely any Irish ring to it. As time progresses there appears to be more, good!

2003-06: Great intro music, shite set design. 1998-99: Good intro music, but that set design was what stood out, excellent. Very American. A young Eileen Dunne showing how many years have past since. ☹ Also, RIP Keelin Shanley, presenter for the all female 2014-2018 RTE News alongside Caitriona Perry (who was hit on by President Trump on live television when she was Washington Correspondent), who died in early 2020.
@@nepalball2711 That's true for the early 90's when they copied the BBC's virtual studio look. But from the late 90s to 2009 RTE did its own thing. Some worked, some didn't. By 2009 though RTE said fuck it, did a BBC and introduced a continuous intro design that's persisted right up to 2022.
That intro from 2003 is the most beautiful news intro I've ever heard in my opinion.
From 1984 to 1990, the RTE News theme was "Classical Action" composed by Keith Mansfield.
