I wouldn’t call him a sociopath he does feel emotions although instances when he shows them are rare he is just a hardcore killer who was trained his whole life to kill people and in his teens and younger he was very emotional but his creators just used testing to suppress it
We literally just see 47 slaughtering an innocent man in the beginning cutscene mercilessly. Do you really expect him to flinch seeing random blood pools and a corpse?
the art of playing hitman is too take ur time and make it more cinematic. not run around everywhere in a rush. pause to look in the mirror, stalk the targets, savor the kill ;p
I always appreciate when someone does a playthrough of this mission and eliminates the brother who tortured and murdered the poor girl, even though he’s not the mission target. It’s the least you can do. This mission was always the most disturbing by a longshot. The actual murderer getting away with it made it worse.
Agreed, even though it wasn't part of the mission and 47 normally only kills his targets, this is one of those times I feel he would make an exception. 47 is a stone cold killing machine, but he is show to have disdain for truly sadistic monsters... with the opportunity in the moment I think 47 would end him.
I actually got jumpscared when he said NAOW! because it was much louder than the regular dialogue, and I was wearing a headset so it was right in my ear😂
I had a creepy dream after first playing this level at my friend's place. I saw 47 at the party from 3rd person. He shot one of the dancer girls with a boltgun. She then bled to death in his arms while looking 47 in the eye, squirming and trying to keep on dancing, while he was embracing her. There was something eerily beautiful in it because it felt like forever. I was 11 or 12 at the time.
First hitman I played was Blood Money. And I was so afraid that I had dreams with 47 too. When I was 15 I got Hitman HD trilogy for Xbox 360 and played contracts the first time and it was scarier than Blood Money by far. I still can't finish contracts, it makes me feel alone for some reason...
Those gloomy afternoons watching my older cousins play this for hours while eating snacks, Halloween was around the corner, life was good we were the happiest and didn’t know it, I want to go back! 😭 this mission and the one of the mansion were my favorite 🙌🏻

(Even the lack of "NPCs" helps to make it possible, as if the non-living enviroment takes a protagonistic role over the noisy" Paris" or "Miami") While the two games eariler mentioned are amazing they could never give this feeling since its a hype up of various different locations around the world with different vibe experiences comprised into one trusty and lethal gameplay with ever powerful targets. To feel cool, fresh, and ready. This game at the other hand, tunes an experience in ways that really send the rottennes of the world; even the gamplay (clunky to modern standards) makes this possible. I wonder if this kind of experience will be repeated in the Manor of the new Hitman 3.
Now imagine if someone would made a Hitman movie based on this game and had David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club) as a director with Michael Mann (Collateral, Heat) to help in making couple shooting scenes. That would be a MASTERPIECE

The game is mostly set in the mind of 47. The missions are flashbacks when he is gravely wounded, hence the dark setting. Only the last mission is in the "real" world. So, timeline-wise it is in the middle of Blood Money, because after "Curtains down" you can see the corrupt inspector attempting to shoot 47.

Have you noticed references to movie Se7en? Car scent trees murder scene? Sturrock brother who killed that girl is not a target here, but most of the players usually decide to take him out as well.

This level looks and feels like what Nine Inch Nail’s music sounds like. Hell, parts of its soundtrack sound like NIN too. The vibe of this level and it’s music also remind me of Manhunt 2 and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

I tried doing this mission your way to get silent assassin but everytime the guards were looking for me although I did the mission normally. Until now, I didn’t know that you have to close the truck door so the guards doesn’t see the guy on the ground
Yeah Hitman 2 had a very easy first mission. They weren’t joking when they said it was gonna be a simple assignment. But this one I feel is easy too as long as you know what you’re doing.
Definitely more of a stealth-horror, probably the darkest mission in the Franchise.

I hope they remaster some of the old games and update them with new kills, this would be a great episode to do that with.

The vibe of this level and it’s music also remind me of Manhunt 2 and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

I tried doing this mission your way to get silent assassin but everytime the guards were looking for me although I did the mission normally. Until now, I didn’t know that you have to close the truck door so the guards doesn’t see the guy on the ground
First missions in Hitman SA are so bad. First missions in Contracts are epic.
Yeah Hitman 2 had a very easy first mission. They weren’t joking when they said it was gonna be a simple assignment. But this one I feel is easy too as long as you know what you’re doing.
