When I think of Batman and Joker, I liken them to Dent's coin. Same coin, opposite sides. The damaged side of the coin represents the Joker, the man who let his pain break him and chose to do evil. Batman is represented by the undamaged side, the man who didn't let his pain break him, and took that pain and instead of him swirling into a cycle of chaos and evil, he chose to do good with it. It's almost like how the sides of Dent's coin decide his actions, the scarred side meaning Dent chooses violence, the unscarred meaning Dent chooses a more peaceful outcome.
I think a lot of Joker's "we're the same, you'd be lost without me" speeches are pure self-projection. If he dropped dead one day Gotham would still need Batman and Bruce's life would still have purpose. That's not the same with Joker. He'd be nothing without Batman. If Batman dropped dead one day Joker would just quit (and he did before).
Batman and Joker are opposite forces who can be seen as the seemingly endless struggle, conflict, and cycle of humanity's use of violence, whether as the method for a better world or ending that world because of our self-destructive tendency.
Not really. Both Professor Xavier and Magento want the same thing boiled down: Mutants to be recognized as equals to humanity, but they have different ways to pursue their vision: Magnus’ trauma of being a survivor of the cruelty of the Holocaust believes in violent action and the overthrowing of the human government and replace with ‘Homo superior’. Xavier’s mission is to prove that both species: humans and Mutants can exist peacefully. He actively seeks to create peaceful coexistence between mutants and humans by talking to the government and speaking in Universities. The X-Men are both paramilitary and ambassadors to humanity.
I heard a quote that a hero is someone who’s been hurt by the world that does not want anyone else to be hurt and a villain is someone who’s been hurt by the world that wants to hurt it back
They’re not the same. They were molded out of the same clay but took different paths. Batman takes down criminals and the Joker takes down the world. Joker hates the world, Batman hates villains, and senseless violence.
Eh, that’s like saying ice and water are the same thing. Sure, similar origin involving trauma and similar goals. But one is a mass murderer, one is a crusader. One is a nihilist, the other is hopefully naive (ironically).
I havent watched the video yet only read the question but i think of it as they are like 1 oclock and 11 oclock both closer than the rest but at the same time completely opposite ends of the spectrum, 2 sides of the same coin. After all they both have the same origin of having just one bad day that shapes the rest of their lives and ideology
This actually makes sense. Even though The Bat and The Joker are different in their own way, in some ways, they are the, if not one of the PERFECT examples of how a hero and a villain are one and the same. I've often come across this topic multiple times for a while now, especially with the release of the movie WICKED.
The first minute talk about society and how if enough people decide to stop following the rules things will change is reminding me a lot of the death of a certain CEO
i think that really the biggest difference in them is that batman for all his flawsis still worth something and someone, while the joker is not. Batman's Insanity is even if Partially- Productive,While Joker's Is at its core Destructive. other than the whole hero and villain shtick, Joker isn`t needed, but Batman is
They would be great partners in crime. They both have reasonable answers to love and hate. They both have something to do with society on itself, but they’re so opposite at the same time.
Without negative their can be no positive. Also, Joker works best as just a murderer and cause problems. He shouldn't have a point. He just does what he wants he shouldn't do crusades. There will always be people who don't like peaceful times because it's fun. Joker's origin should just be taken with a grain of salt.
Have we learned nothing from the comics that CLEARLY proving this false, especially the Joker's argument? There's no way in heck that these two are the same or even similar. On one hand, we have a man who, even though he experienced the awful trauma of his parents' murder, still chooses to rise above it and use his resources as Batman and as CEO of Wayne Enterprises to make Gotham City a better place as well as trying his hardest to be a good man and set an example for the Bat-Family. On the other hand, we have Jack Oswald White, aka The Joker, an evil, insane, psychopathic lunatic who, for no reason, makes it his life's mission to wreak death and destruction on Gotham City for his own sick amusement. Batman and Joker are not the same, they are *completely different*, PERIOD. Gotham City is very lucky to have Batman protecting it because the evil that comes from its depths needs ALL of the Bat-Family, not just Bruce, to fight and defeat it.

Which basically sums up the main difference between heroes and villains
Batman represents order, law and hope. Joker represents chaos, anarchy and death
Batman and the Joker not the same but they are two sides of the same coin basically they're the same but the complete opposite at the same time
Yeah exactly! One represents order, discipline/strictness and structure while the other wants anarchy, excessive violence and chaos
2 faces coin?...
GREAT NEEDLE MOUSE PRODUCTION BATMAN AND THE JOKER ARE THE SAME.
More like they're two sides of the same card.
@isaaccraig8711 damn I should have came up with that
Telltale Joker is literally a Batman fanboy with similar gadgets. I love the friendship path of John and Bruce. It’s such a tragic ending.
In the telltale game, joker says that they are 2 threads in the same stitch, not necessarily the same, but they are similar in many different ways
It all makes sense now. They're relationship, they're similarities, they're opposing views on the world, everything makes sense.
THE CHRISTMAS HAT IS SO CUTE.
EXCELLENT NEEDLE MOUSE PRODUCTION WORK.
1:15 "We made a world where no 8 year old boy will ever lose his parents because of some punk with a gun" vibes from JL animated
Batman and Joker are opposite forces who can be seen as the seemingly endless struggle, conflict, and cycle of humanity's use of violence, whether as the method for a better world or ending that world because of our self-destructive tendency.
"You and I are not so different."
Crazy that this vid pops up immediately after I've just read Joker Year One
You are Me: Mahito
I am You: yuji
Batman & Joker
If there's ever going to be another Lantern Corps video I think I would like to see which Lantern Corps the Danny Phantom characters should be in
This same analysis can be applied to Professor X and Magento.

I heard a quote that a hero is someone who’s been hurt by the world that does not want anyone else to be hurt and a villain is someone who’s been hurt by the world that wants to hurt it back
Batman are not the exact same. But they are similar yet different
Have you ever thought of making a video essay on Killer Croc?
They’re not the same. They were molded out of the same clay but took different paths. Batman takes down criminals and the Joker takes down the world. Joker hates the world, Batman hates villains, and senseless violence.
Yo keep up the great work
Are they are the same? I don't know
I think this is a very good view of Batman and Joker, and to be honest I would probably turn into the joker if that happened to me
Eh, that’s like saying ice and water are the same thing.
Sure, similar origin involving trauma and similar goals. But one is a mass murderer, one is a crusader. One is a nihilist, the other is hopefully naive (ironically).
Oh after spending 5 hours trying to install a new motherboard and wires and failing i am ready to break the rules of society👹😆
I havent watched the video yet only read the question but i think of it as they are like 1 oclock and 11 oclock both closer than the rest but at the same time completely opposite ends of the spectrum, 2 sides of the same coin. love ur videos ❤❤
I honestly think that Batman is too dedicated to protecting human life, to ever be the same as Joker.
Title has an error man
thanks man
@NeedleMouseProductions np man thanks for all the videos over the years. Hope you're in good health
Batman is head on coin and Joker is tail on a coin. they on two different side on a coin but have same problems. That how i can describe that.
The joker and Batman maybe same
Joker is chaos incarnate and Batman brings order and justice to that chaos.
In modern days, no.
Batman won't kill but he'll leave you paralyzed for the rest of your life
This actually makes sense. Even though The Bat and The Joker are different in their own way, in some ways, they are the, if not one of the PERFECT examples of how a hero and a villain are one and the same. Goated characters
There is nothing similar between the two
yes there is… think about it
i think that really the biggest difference in them is that batman for all his flawsis still worth something and someone, while the joker is not.
Batman's Insanity is even if Partially- Productive,While Joker's Is at its core Destructive.
other than the whole hero and villain shtick, Joker isn`t needed, but Batman is
They’re also in love ❤
They would be great partners in crime. They both have reasonable answers to love and hate. They both have something to do with society on itself, but they’re so opposite at the same time.
Batman if havey & joker is two face
Yes they’re different sides of the same coin
Without negative their can be no positive. Also, Joker works best as just a murderer and cause problems. He shouldn't have a point. He just does what he wants he shouldn't do crusades. I think you're just reading way into this.
