Role of Seniors(Head, Professor, Superintendent, Principal, Senior PGTs) !!! For lady doctors , especially junior PGTs, cause - problems are the insiders!! Most of them reduced to physical, mental patients waiting to be sexploited in their own space in their own space by both outsiders and more frightening insiders. And when there is a need for, say 10 pg seats in a Department, Why only 4 or 5 are given when so many mbbs students are aspiring to do PH? These junior doctors have no time for sleep, rest, food....lady doctors are in even worse situation....For this night shifts are nightmares for junior lady doctors(PGTs), and also the patients. These doctors on night shift duty are not in proper shape of body and mind to treat patients, and to save themselves from ontotward situations waiting to happen anytime. Where is time to read, write and publish papers, prepare thesis? This explains why these doctors seek odd places, odd hours to have some food, some rest and sleep, and if possible read a bit. The result is the Kolkota tragedy, and on a less tragic scale it is routine experiences across medical colleges of India for junior lady doctors. This is the torture they are undergoing for a paltry stipend of 50 thousand rupees per month. What is the bargain...their sleep snatched away, rest and food snatched away, hygiene snatched away..not treated as human beings. They are suffering the worst kind of human rights violations. Kolkata case is just its result. And this root cause should be addressed by both media and authorities.

And when there is a need for, say 10 pg seats in a Department, Why only 4 or 5 are given when so many mbbs students are aspiring to do PH? These junior doctors have no time for sleep, rest, food....lady doctors are in even worse situation....For this night shifts are nightmares for junior lady doctors(PGTs), and also the patients. These doctors on night shift duty are not in proper shape of body and mind to treat patients, and to save themselves from ontotward situations waiting to happen anytime. Where is time to read, write and publish papers, prepare thesis? This explains why these doctors seek odd places, odd hours to have some food, some rest and sleep, and if possible read a bit. The result is the Kolkota tragedy, and on a less tragic scale it is routine experiences across medical colleges of India for junior lady doctors. This is the torture they are undergoing for a paltry stipend of 50 thousand rupees per month. What is the bargain...their sleep snatched away, rest and food snatched away, hygiene snatched away..not treated as human beings. They are suffering the worst kind of human rights violations. Kolkata case is just its result. And this root cause should be addressed by both media and authorities.
