What a transformation! The butterflies seem to think it’s a romantic spot ❤😂
😝 And dragonflies mating, too!
Love how your garden is coming along Much same as Kauai and Love your Yellow gate💛Aloha🌺
Thank you!! Any tips are appreciated.
Love your garden. Beautiful flowers 💐
Thank you 🌼🧡🌺
I am enjoying your garden progress so much! It's incredible how fast it has come together and it looks like it's been there forever. As a lifelong gardener originally from the Pacific NW (USA) I've been on the Gulf Coast in deep south TX for 3 years and have a lot of the same plants as you do, only yours are bigger because you don't get random freezes. As far as garden advice, amend the soil every time you plant something new (I add a lot of potting soil to my awful native salty clay) and mulch mulch mulch! And plant natives when possible. Thank you for sharing your adventures in Panama. I love seeing women my age creating a life on their own terms!!
It’s so satisfying to work in the garden. It’s always evolving! I am amending an area now where I’m going to put some peace lilies I got. I planned to put them in a different spot, but they just didn’t look right.
Big change of gardening terrain for you!
And just when you get everything where you want it, something grows too big, or dies! It’s a great way to remember that everything is temporary so enjoy every moment.
And yes, a huge change but it’s been really fun to learn a whole new set of plants and birds and bugs. And to have all the sun, heat, humidity, and palm trees my tropical-loving heart can handle.
Did you have a garden in your previous life?
@@lamiller61 Not a big one at all. This is the biggest!!
❤
Fertile garden ❤🎉😊
I think stuff will really take off when rainy season starts in a few months.
love, love long vids by PBH
Thank you!! I really appreciate that.
Oh and fruit trees like CG as well!
That’s good to know! I don’t drink coffee but I should start making it for my plants 🙌
What a beautiful country you live in! Wink, wink!!
🤣🧡🧡🇵🇦🌟 I know!! I’m very blessed 🙏
Here in Hawaii in the warmer weather is when all our fragrant flowers bloom to their top glory we give them all Coffee grounds as they love CG and this helps deepen their fragrance ~ u may or may not know of this
I didn’t know it helped with their fragrance! I put 2 gardenias in a little bowl of water and it’s in my bedroom - heavenly!!
Very Very nice do you know if berries grow enjoy your day
Thanks! I don’t know about berries here. At some point I want to created a sheltered raised bed area for herbs. The wind is so harsh on the plants 😞
Another question do you have a well and storage tank
I don’t have either. I have a rain collection system that I’ll test pretty soon, just for garden watering. Right now, water pressure is low and there may be times we don’t have any.
Hi Patty, what is your growing zone? I live in zone 9 northern California.
I don’t know, I was never able to find that info. High temps would be low 90’s, low in the 70’s at night. Never frost.
