    I found you a few months ago... when things in my world (everyones world, really) was shaken to its core. When churches closed you appeared on my TV. You are a huge blessing to me... an elderly, single, LONELY woman... who needs exactly what you give every Sunday morning. Thank you, Pastor Mike.... and PLEASE continue to reach out because you never know how many you touch, like me! You matter and are appreciated!!! God bless you and your family!!

      I just found your remark and must say you expressed what I also feel. As a very elderly widow, being alone for most of the time, I love listening to Mike Novotny. He is so real. God bless you and God bless the ministry of Time for Grace.

    *What I say to children:* Be VERY careful, never rush anything no matter how much you need change today; rather, seek an authentic life. If you truly are transgender, don't hide it because, like every problem, it only gets worse with time. If you feel safe discussing this with your parents, do so and seek therapy. If you don't feel safe (few do), tell your parents you're having troubles and want to talk to a therapist. Work with the therapist to discover your authentic self and find a way to discuss it with your parents. Having this discussion with the therapist present can help immensely as they can help keep your thoughts organized and provide insight you may have a hard time verbalizing.
    *What would God say?* There seem to be 3 schools of thought, each supported by scripture:
    1. God created you as you are, broken. Don't fix that brokenness. Instead trust God to provide what is needed to win the prize.
    2. God created you as you are. If you truly accept God in your heart, He will remove gender dysphoria.
    3. God wants us to be whole, the love with all we are. A closeted transgender is not whole, cannot know real peace or real love.
    The 2nd is a flat insult, telling someone they just don't know God well enough... and if their medical condition continues to exist, they will never be saved.
    Both #1 and #2 are unilaterally applied to gender dysphoria. Nobody applies such logic to cancer, bipolar disorder, tooth aches, or ANY other medical condition, not even a headache.

      I am trans* and would say the key is not to have a preconceived school of thought that you ascribe to, but patiently and lovingly allow the trans* person to hear what God is saying specifically to them. What works for me may not work for the next person. Each of our sanctification journeys is different.

      @@leslihudson I agree that it's important not to have a preconceived school of thought - including religion. Give each child the resources, both medical and religious that can help.

If they are genuine, they will love you and be a place where you would find support and healing from your struggle with sin.

      @hunterking4045 3 роки тому +1

      @@lee-lee2418 she is not sinning. God helped her by correcting her body to match her mind. Cis gendered people will never ever understand transgendered people because they aren't transgendered. The pastor got that part right but you can't just expect us to detransition like the woman in the coffee shop. She was obviously confused or never truly transgendered in the first place. You're still judging by saying go and sin no more like being transgendered is like being a hooker.

    knowingly in that sin is wrong? As Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery, "GO and Sin No More".

    • @timeofgrace

      Lee-Lee, to continue on in any sin is wrong. If someone steals, asks for forgiveness but continues to steal, they are continuing to sin and that is wrong.

    One of the hardest things for cis-gender person is to understand the other side. In some ways how can you, as a white person do you know what ir is to be black. Most likely not. The same thing is true as a cis-gender person you have very little understanding what I felt for 75 years.

    • @Ethereal_Nature06
      @Ethereal_Nature06 3 роки тому +2

      I completely agree, I think its so stupid how some cis people feel like they can have an opinion on someones gender identity. It isn't their decision to make what someone else identifies as and what they decide to do with their body. I hope you are feeling happier in your own skin and you can live your life in peace, don't let the bigots tell you what you can and can't do with yourself!

      Yeah... I hear similar words from most Christians. And it harms us more than anyone knows. Nobody seems to realize just how deadly serious gender dysphoria is. Insisting we live with it is akin to telling a cancer patient to just live with it. We might not die as quickly but just as surely.
