Bansko is a growing city of 10,000 people, often referred to as the San Moritz of the Balkans. The quality of hospitality and winter sports cannot be envied that of Switzerland's #ski areas, while prices remain very competitive and the natural beauty of the surrounding area is breathtaking.
In #Slavic #mythology, the sacred tree, which represents our world, occupies a prominent place. It's an oak. On its highest branch stands the ancient god #Perun in the form of an eagle, ruler of the earth, of the sky and of living mortals.

The ski resort Bansko is located in the #Blagoevgrad Province (Bulgaria). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 48.2 km of slopes and 8.1 km of ski routes available. 14 lifts transport the #guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 990 and 2,560 m.

Sorry but indicating plovdiv when talking about Bansko is not wise (even rila is far) gotse, banya, ok but there is also razlog, blaegovgrad and others which are closer and we have a "little charm"
