Hi Alec, thanks so much for your videos. I'm only 51, but it's nice to see and talk about some of the things that we did growing up that are slowly fading away. All of your videos make people feel good. Thank you for what you do

I keep a similar jar 😂I don't know about Canada, but here in the U.S. we have Coinstar machines at local retailers. You dump your jar into the machine and it automatically sorts the coins and then prints you a receipt that you turn in to the customer service desk for cash. Coinstar charges a small fee, but it's worth it not having to sort and count all that change. Merry Christmas to you and yours Alec!

Seen those up here in Canada but my old man view of paying for someone to count, which I can still do, goes against my nature. My bank likes when I show up at Christmas with all the change. Merry Christmas and thank you for watching.

Hi Alec. I can remember when I was younger always having a pocket full of change and using it with the bills to get quarters back for the laundry mat machines, before those debit card things that you had to fill. I recently took 50$ in pennies to the bank which was interesting because you cannot buy penny wrappers any more. I guess we all started using our cards more during covid and realized that we get points or bonuses for using them. Take care Owen m

It seems like those days are gone, like your change pocket in jeans.

holy moly, i was guessing about 70 0r 80 bucks!!! We used to keep change in a 5 gal water bottle, needed a fork lift to pick it up!!! Don't do that anymore, like you said change is not used much anymore....with yours I smell gun powder😉

I’ve seen those big change jars and some of them can be a real workout to handle!

Hi Alec, when was the last time you remember finding a silver coin in your change?

A looong time ago. Back when few folks actually noticed their change.
