Good video comparison. I think the straight forward approach is if u have chongyun SSS laying around or an ice tank just use them else Ayla S. I would also like to say that investing in chongyun is a loss where those serum could be better use somewhere else such as memory resonance and building the latest frame.
With the arrival of the new characters, each character will help the team more and more, having a Tank even if it's Rank A that helps increase damage by +9k is a very big help (for Babel, Norman, Warzone and Pain Cage), so having the Support set for Changyu is a good investment. (You only need the set, you don't need to full resonate) [ Lvl 80 + Tank Class Max + Set ] is enough. In addition, grinding with the "Material" stage of each patch speeds up the grind a lot + you spend less, so in 1 week or less you'll have achieved this.
Be looking for these types of vid man thanks, As a f2p playing for a month now after hearing that sigs for amplifier is mandatory in other to unlock weapon harmonization for good damage. Meaning I can't bother get alpha sigs cause I want to get no21 and Alisa Nd it's recommended that is really needed for them 😢
A word of advice from someone who has been playing for more than 2 years about this "mandatory" stuff: Honestly, every time someone said something was "mandatory" I never did it and here I am playing normally. The "mandatory" often refers to those who want to play "competitively", but for those who want to play casual or normal, already having a good character + a complete team is enough to have great results. Don't get carried away by this "mandatory" talk, complete your teams little by little and you'll realize that the most important thing is "having complete teams", having Weapon 6* is only an improvement for the character. You see, Alpha is one of my favorite characters, so I'll try to take everything to improve her and make her the best she can be, but I know that she's so powerful and so well made, that even if she only has a 5* weapon, she becomes a machine of destruction (and with the SS Rank and right Resonances, she becomes a NUCLEAR BOMB). My Lightning team will be Alpha CW SS (Wp 6* + pet) / Vera Garnet SS (Wp*5)/ Liv Lux (A) SSS+ Not to mention that Vera Garnet, even using Weapon 5* with all the right Resonances, can deal +200,000 damage. So the Wp 6* is just an improvement on what is already good. That's why this team will be able to manage for a long time or even years.

Do you think you could provide me with an explanation on how to play Changyu during Kaleido and Bambi's downtimes? Off the top of my head, I imagine we should never use his Ultimate as the animation is way too long and has no time stop. I would still like your take on him in case there's something I'm not seeing
You can get Ayla S for free in the new Dorm system in her Patch. (I'll be making a video about this new dorm system soon). Therefore, your team will be (Ayla S / Bambinata / Changyu). Because of this, the rotation will be between (Ayla S > Bambinata), as their damage is much higher than Changyu's (making him mostly QTE support). Warning: The support set has much less status and no damage-dealing skills, so Changyu can't be used for battles and can only for support.
His Wp6*: Ice DMG increases by 15%. Creates Mirror Crystals for 8s after casting Flowing Whirlpool or QTE skill Basically QTE and 3 pings causes Ice debuff, helps in QTE Support and Damage in battle. Rank SSS it's only necessary if you have his Wp6*.
Which is better: 1. Ayla SSS - 5* weapon - No CUB 2. Ayla SS - 6* weapon - CUB And if 2 is better, is SS3 worth it to spend BP currency on? Edit: I dont have Chrome: Glory btw
For the 1st question: Ayla (A) is a Physical Tank and cannot use the Einsteina set, as this set is for Elemental characters. (If used on a physical character, it will have no effect). For the 2nd question: Sorry, I didn't understand your second question, which set are you asking about?
After Ayla S, the game will become more complicated for the "Ice Elemental", so it will be necessary to use the Da Vinci set for the team. Using Ayla A with the Ice debuff set as before can give you results, but not as good as Da Vinci on Changyu.

1°) Better buffs, Good damage.
2°) Good buffs, Higher damage.
SS-3 is a personal decision, as the SS Rank is already very good in itself.

Chrome S and Changyu A without a 6* weapon do not cause an ice debuff, so both are equal in QTE.
