13:45 "too many people, when their training their horse, or training their mule, or training their dog, or training their KID" Great wisdom! Doesn't matter what, or who, you're trying to train it takes effort, time, & consistency!
Thank you so much for this video, just purchased my first draft mule today and the saddle he is in fits great but everywhere I looked everyone says I needed a mule saddle. Thank you for the sane and honest words about saddles.
Great lesson in patience. Really appreciate your most basic breakdown on a green mule. This is how to teach- unlike watching a made horse show off its training for the trainer! Love the sensible foundation you build. You demonstrate how the right baby steps will get you there if you recognize them.
Excellent video as always, especially appreciate your attention to detail and the time you spend covering each individual thing I could watch videos about horses all day since I ride
Great job with the mule Dewayne and all the advice. Can be applied in our everyday lives as well as raising children.praying for you and mommy to have a blessed week .
Good morning Dewayne & Mama! Just waking up with my coffee ☕ & vibing with Reba's personality this morning. Mules aren't the only ones who are a little lazy or stubborn at times.😅 Enjoy this beautiful Spring weather!
Been watching your channel since the beginning and you continue to do great things. It's not just your topics but your demeanor, good common sense and insight. I really appreciate you.
Reba’s coming along Dewayne. Looks like forward motion and improvement. I was never around mules until later in my dad’s life he bought a set of draft size mules to hitch to a wagon. I came to really like messing with those two. All that came with the harnessing and hitching was a learning experience to me. Anyway, they grow on you. Yes, they can be stubborn like they’re known for but can’t we all. Thanks for showing us how Reba’s doing. Oh, and those old, vintage saddles you referred to probably had the old “A-fork” tree. Similar but probably more extreme to what you referred to as the 90 x 4. Thanks again sir.
I used to have a pair of mules that I used pulling a covered wagon. I was having a problem with one of them and my Dad walked over to me and told me Son you have to be smarter than the animal that you’re training. After I finally figured out what he was talking about, that one mule turned out to be the best of the pair.
Another great video, thanks. I've bought several pieces of gear now from Buckaroo Leather and every one has been fair priced and crafted with excellence. I particularly like the brow band headstalls with the buckles for swapping out bits and the bat wing chaps he made me.
Hi Dewayne.... Just an Observation here... the whole time throught out the Video, Reba was constantly fussing with the Bit as if it was Bothering her or something was wrong with it. It kinda looked like it was a little Tight up into her mouth, and the actual rings of the snaffle were trying to go into her mouth. It kinda looked the Headstall might have been too Snug. ???? I had a Riding Mule for years, and for some reason, I have realized that they can be Fussy about Sensitive ares of their bodys, when it comes to the Fitment of their Equipment. Just an OBSERVATION. F.Y.I. Have a Great Day. and Keep Up the GREAT Work. 😊
The saddling information was excellent. I love how simple you kept it. Maybe sometime in a future video you could talk about intervals in pressure and release? For example, that pressure is lost temporarily when shes moves her feet and you have to correct her? I assume reapply the same pressure immediately? How long is an appropriate release period for reward? Maybe kind of novice questions but I want to make sure Im getting this right
Thank you very much. I'm saving this one for future reference. Fifty years of saddling horses (including pack horses) and I learned something new and very important about saddling a riding mule. Awesome! I noticed you open rein Reba. Is that standard practice for mules or specific to her?
I've been watching your channel for a long time i think you had around 15,000 subscription's. I'm do not own a horse but almost everything you say can be used. I sent a few of your videos to me apprentice who was screwing up in life to set him on the right path. I'd ask him about the video the next day and we'd talk about how to better himself. Thanks
When I play RDR2, I always call the first blond you get “Kiddo”. After Beatrix Kiddo from Kill Bill. I wish they’d put more care (as if Rockstar didn’t do enough ) in to what different saddle components mean for different uses. Like driving a truck, I want different drive separate from driving muscle or sport. I know they’re gonna do that kinda stuff in gta6. Anyway😅 I got no mule nor acres. But I love this stuff
In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth. He created humans too to have a relationship with Him. That's our purpose as humans that have a relationship with God. Sin, however, messed that up because it made us imperfect and imperfect creatures cannot have a relationship with a perfect and holy God. That's why we so oftentimes feel empty, unsatisfied and unaccomplished because we're not in relationship with the God we were created to be in a relationship with. But that's where Jesus comes in. Jesus is God's son and He came down to earth in human form to live the same life we do yet unlike us He never sinned. Jesus is perfect. Yet despite the fact He is perfect He died on the cross for our sins and sacrifice Himself for us. The punishment for our sins is death but because Jesus took that punishment for us if we put our faith in Him and receive Him as Lord and savior we can be reconciled to God and be restored to that relationship we were created to have. And we can be sure that Jesus is the Son of God because on the 3rd day God raised Him from the dead and in that He defeated death and the grave, proving that He can do the same for us if we put our faith in trust in Him. That's how you get to Heaven. That's how you become full in your heart. That's how you become reconciled to the God who created you.
As someone who's saving up for a mule, I really appreciate all this info.
Sweet Reba ❤.
Thanks a lot Dewayne and also Momma, for filming 😊.

Dads are so wise, that's exactly what my own Dad told me.👍
I can relate. Nothing like the jingle-jangle, clip-clop, creak-creak, snort-snort of a team hitched to a wagon
I’ve been watching a ton a mule videos and you answered so many of my questions. Thank you!

What a sweetheart !
I’m liking these recent videos a lot!
Nice video Dwayne 👌🏻👌🏻

Hello great video information Dwayne
Great video! I myself own and ride mules
Mules are not so easy than a horse, but a the best friend, ever
Had a mule a couple of years back and she had the best handle of any horse or mule I've ever rode. Like a dummy I sold her and wish I never did.
How’s your book coming along?
Love the videos!
That mule looks pretty laid back
We have a horse named Reba!
Our cowboy school is also starting up right now for spring
Thank you :)

I just learned where you are located. I am from the bigger town about 15 minutes west of there.
Amazing video
Such a beautiful surrounding but, I’d be afraid of Big Foot who loves roaming around those places, especially near big lakes or bodies of water.
Reminds me of old Ruth Festus mule .
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
Good morning, paw paw.
Love you channel sir a small UA-camr

I ride a buckaroo leather pulling collar too!

I heard they were adding parallel parking to the horse riding license test
Mules are so likeable
real nice
On constate que c'est plus dur que pour les chevaux. Les Grecs aiment bien ça
