Hi Andy, I think it's important for me to thank you for all the work you do to help us music and IEM fans make the best possible choices. You manage to remain precise in your explanations while being clear for neophytes or people who don't know all the subtleties of the audio world. I decided to write to you after your test of the Dunu titan S2, which is not universally acclaimed, but your opinion as a metal and extreme metal fan like myself means that I know I'll like them without hesitation. In fact, I took advantage of the Hifigo sale to pick up the Dunu DTC480 flagship Dual CS43198 dac (I hope I won't be disappointed, as there's no test, but I like having products from the same brand) and the famous Titan S2s thanks to you. A big thank you from a French fan, keep up the good work. Aurélien
I listen to no metal, but plenty of big, busy music. Math rock and jazzy hip hop, big horns and heavy bass, lots of stuff. I love the Dunu Titan S2. Except the way it looks. I think Dunu is a better overall company than most of the rest of chiclayo.
I enjoy watching your reviews and the opportunity to revisit Malaysia, vicariously. I did live and work their for about a year, with my family, around Damansara Heights. We found Malaysia a wonderful country and I enjoyed getting back there (albeit briefly) for business, late last year. SUBSCRIBED!

I got both (the s2 for a week now) and I still use both. Sometimes I just miss the reductiveness of the original. When certain elements recede you can concentrate on the things that are left to shine. I love both.

looking into the FR graph of the S2, it is now looking better than the EA500LM in my opinion and with even better cable and that signature Dunu S&S eartips. All I can do is be contented with the LM and also had the Delci. Can't add another single DD set in my rotation
loving the Titan S for my pairing, its quite organic natural sounding towards neutral. a lil boring. but organic and linear is what i prefer. listening to Steely Dan , Rush , Dire Straits, SRV, Frank Zappa, Jehtro Tull, Pink Floyd, Opeth, Ghost Note , Kreator . still looking for another single dynamic or dynamic hybrid with BA. that is around RM500, Neutral with great separation. i have this for me is a habit and kinda problematic. i casually listen to music oftentimes in analytical manner. I Will always analyse about how they mix , compression, wondering thier mic technique and what instrument or amps they use.

Your reviews are wonderful. I purchased the Onix dongle dac after hearing your great review. I'm looking at purchasing my first IEM and am considering the Juzear Butterfly 61t. Is the sub $100 iem tuning generally shifting towards a more mibbass, less subbass approach? Im looking forward to hear your thoughts about the Juzear 61t, specially compared to DaVinci.
Not really, price doesn't influence the tuning, there's a lot of IEMs up to $3000 that are not Bassy at all with Subbass. Something like close to neutral Volare and a few others
Wow nice place to video. Very peaceful and pleasant to the eyes. Andy, do you think there will be a difference in sound quality of titan s2 if you plug it with fiio ka11 or fiio ka13? Will there be a significant difference? Thanks
Thanks. Between KA13 and KA11 they practically offer similar sound performance and quality for S2, really barely any difference at all since both are tuned similarly
I will pick S2 over Hydro because I prefer something less V and less colored, something a little flatter and transparent like this S2, which means Hydro would appeal more if you looking for enhanced sound experience

Better is not the word. T10 offer more volume with lower frequencies and by that reckoning a bit bassier than S2, otherwise both of them are excellent for Metal

Classical, Instrumentals and Technical Jazz, for this price both 4U and S2 are excellent choice, 4U even offer more transparent experience with Monitoring/Natural mode but I can be totally satisfied with S2 equally. Can't go wrong with any one of them

For heavy or power metal (not just raw black hehe) do you think is a good choice? even above or in the same class as the Delci? (Talking about the same range) -cheers!
Yes absolutely. S2 expecially would suit Avan Garde or Technical Metal and definitely Power Metal, the more technical they are the better (like Audiophile grade Iron Maiden or Loudness recordings). To me yes, but we are talking about very minor differences that set them apart. Simply because I feel Titan S2 has faster transient speed and better Midbass
S2 is very similar to 4U with the switch set to Natural. With the S2 sounding a bit more prominent with Midbass and a little smoother with upper Mids transient speed. 4U however is truthfully neutral and transparent especially if you set to Monitoring switch. Aria2 on the other hand is tuned totally different with Harman type curve and a lot bassier too

I don't have Alba so I have no idea how it compare to S2. But with Kato, they are totally different with tuning. Kato has been tuned to be highly flavored/colored and quite heavy with low frequencies especially Subbass, in comparison S2 would appear outright flat due to being more transparent and edge closer to neutral sound curve. S2 is also a bit more prominent with Midbass and not Subbass, so it will provide better resonance for many music type that offer percussions, stringed Bass and kick drums. Kato on the other hand would be more suited for electronic type music
