I think knowledge of the Truman Show would definitely have helped yesterday, or at least making the 42 clearer. Shame it spoiled things for you, but hopefully you still enjoyed the calendar!
I hope you have a very merry Christmas :)

Ahaha it's definitely not as satisfying as getting it all correct but it was still a super fun experience!
Thank you very much and I wish the same to you! Merry Christmas! :)

About the EXIT stuff. I watched another of their advent calendars series this year, from another small but growing channel, Crimsonboardgames (I want to crosspollinate you guys, so I'm gonna tell her about your series as well). She did "The Mystery of the Ice Cave", which is from a few years ago.
Full disclosure, I wouldn't really be able to play this kind of thing, because ripping apart a game would just kill me right there and then, and I think you guys must have nerves of steel for doing it. But now that I have two sets of data to compare, I'd say the Missing Hollywood Star had better and more creative riddles, but the Ice Cave had a better story. Hollywood Star's storyline was basically "and now there's another room", all culminating into a pretty dumb finale (these games seem to think trapping people against their will and forcing them to solve riddles is charming somehow, despite being the plot of a horror movie).
Wasn't there also a dropped plot point with the tracks of a giant monster being mentioned in some of the earlier days? What was that about? And how did they manage to do the time travel trick?
Anyway, brilliant series. Which segues into my next comment!

Thanks! Yeah I know her, some of her videos popped up in my home already a bunch of times!
Haven't watched her series because I heard the ice cave is one of the best ones and might decide to do it in the future.
I'm actually impressed (and a little bit jealous too ahaha) at how much better her channel started and developed compared to mine! But my early videos (as you've seen) were pretty amateur quality, if not bad quality 🙈 so that might be a factor. She started later than me and has like 10 times my subscribers and views, so I'm super happy for her success!
Anyways, yes, this one didn't really have a storyline, and not even a Christmas theme imo. I think the riddles were mostly super fun and creative and would definitely try a new one in the future! Destroying a game hurts unless it's a game made to be destroyed!
