  • Bought a 341 from Oklahoma sight unseen at a purplewave auction. Plenty of fixing to do.
    Repairing leaking pilot lines,
Welding up the exhaust - muffler fix on the cheap.

Hello from Newfoundland Canada. I own a Bobcat 341G. It is one tough animal. The machine is a dependable workhorse. Except for the cosmetics and what looks to be operator abuse on your machine, its a nice machine. My cab is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I converted mine to steel tracks. Very dependable to start in very cold weather. As for high level in engine, yes drain to proper level, better again, change it and the filter, then monitor it. I did have to change a few hyd pilot lines on my machine. the heater and seat had to come out because of the hose routing. Lately, I removed and resealed the hydraulic swivel. To check hyd oil level, the correct position is to curl up the stick to the boom, lay the bucket as close as possible to the blade, then check the sight glass. I have an allied rock buster as an attachment. The combination of excavator and buster is a money maker. The Gates original hoses are the proper ones to replace with. Regular number 4 hose either 1 or 2 wire when bunched together are hard to hide in place. Also some wire type hose will transfer machine vibration up to the joystick. I wish you good luck with the 341G. I'm very much impressed with mine!
