It's meant to be a mash of nice timbre/melody rather than having a focus on lyrical content.
I went back to the vocal stem itself and can confirm it's definitely not diamonds, it is dimes. 'Dimes' also fits in with the frequent reference of money in the lyrics.
The little piano tune you can hear reminds me of Kingdom hearts' battle theme...

Glitch hop is basically when samples are cut and put back together to create beat and this track's vocal samples are loaded with nothing but the sound of scratches and clicks. It also resembles the sound of a CD vinyl record skipping repeatedly witch is the basics of glitch hop. It may not be entirely glitch hop I'll give you that, but it's got the vital basics of it and is strongly influenced by it :p

I think this does have a Skrillex kind of feel in the way the vocals are done. I hate Skrillex but I love this song. There is something other than the 'chopped vocals' that obviously makes people love this song.

yeah, well In my opinion electro is the definiton of Dj music such as EDM, DnB, Dubstep, Electro House, Trance, Moombahton etc. And Techno is stuff like Scooter and Hardcore Dance music, with those crazy fast jumpstyle beats. And I gotta say.... electro's way better :D
