Stefanos doesn't have many options as the players are becoming much more aggressive. The Greek has a very good game, but he lacks consistent sting on his backhand and his net game needs improvement (not that he comes in much). Arthur is beginning to vary his potent game by coming in more. It's the trend that Carlos Alcaraz began when he burst onto the scene. Stefanos will be phased out if he doesn't respond soon.
He is the only player (Tsitsipas) I have ever seen in the history of tennis that gives the ball exactly at the body of his opponent. Not right or left to make it harder for his opponent.
You see videos from Nadal or Djokovic through the years and they were always changing something, a motion, a gesture, a tech. Tsitsipas has te same flawed serve and backhand since 2018, the guy thinks he reached his peak technically, when in reality his god tier forehand is what keeps him up in the ranks.
Fils is really incredible! I watched his tennis for the first time when he won Japan Open. Then, I became a fan of him. I’m convinced that he has the potential to make the top ten. I hope he continue to win this tournament!
@@richardschmelzle2004 Deutsch ist cool 👍. Ich glaube auch, dass Fils noch besser werden wird!Geistig und beim Schlagen des Balls ist er schon jetzt einer der Besten.
Fils is the best in line to be the next big 3 I hope i get a new favourite played to support before wawrinka retires (he will always be my favourite btw)
Tsitsipas always relies on his battering forehand but Fils seemed to even bully him on that side - which meant Tsitsipas was clueless as to what to do.
I AM SATISFIED FOR THE WAY TSITSIPAS IMPROVED HIS DEFENSE AND HE COULD HAVE WON THE SET 1. HE NEEDS TO IMPROVE IS NERVES AS HE GETS LOST WHEN THE MATCH STARTS TO GO TO THE OPPONENT IN FRONT. HE ALSO NEEDS TO IMPROVE HIS SERVE AND FITNESS AS HE GETS TIRED EASILY.
Tsitsipas needs to somehow improve his backhand he gets so far behind in a point against hard hitter like Fils that when the ball is hit to his forehand side he could only play defensive shot because his backhands aren't doing much damage.
7784 needs to improve his poor backhand. Why does he always hit the weak topspin with his backhand. The opponents have enough time to hit a big forehand.
Tough loss for tisisipas, he can't improve anymore and even young players are beating him right now, he should be really worried for his future at top level
Arthur Fils is the type of guy to play like Djokovic in 500 events. In Masters 1000’s and GS he’s playing like a player rankend 50-100 tho… Hope he gets more consistent and is up to the task in the future
Tsitsi spends most of the time these days just scrambling around the court trying to get the ball back in play. He has no real power on his forehand or backhand to trouble his opponents.
The influence of the strong independent self-conscious confident powerful woman aka Paula Badosa on Stefania Tsitsipasia left a nasty stain on his manliness and performance.
He's a big guy, which I think plays a big role in this. Bigger, taller one-handers don't move, bend or rotate so much when they hit the shots. Just look at 6'8" Mpetshi Perricard, his technique is pedestrian even compared to Tsitsipas.
You can read Fils' lips at the net when looking at his dad, "money" he said. That's all that matters to tennis players nowadays... PS: there were 650K at stake if he won that match.
Tsitsipas with his backhand again. Why doesn't he improve on it? If it took Federer a few months to have his neo backhand, I think it's fair to say two years is long enough for him to at least do something about that backhand.
There's a reason why there is only 1 player under 25 inside the Top 50 with a one-handed backhand.... it's effectively dead in modern pro tennis. Federer killed it off.
@@huzcer The reason is that nobody has been teaching it to kids for decades (because it's tougher for kids). This inevitably results in one-handers disappearing from the tour. Federer had one of the best, most skillful backhands on the tour (and his "neo" 2017 BH was, not only in my opinion, the best backhand of all time). But it is now teached to 0 kids out of 10000. So of course it will die.
@@J.-M. and why -> all the inherent disadvantages that are exacerbated in the hard-hitting modern game. I mean even the young Zverev had the winning 7 match h2h on Federer (last match played in 2019 when Federer was still making slam finals)
@@huzcer Federer was 38 years old in 2019. He was not nearly the player he was even in 2017, let alone in his real prime, when he was a real beast, a winning machine, the most consistently winning player in the history of the sport (his 23 grand slam semifinals in a row is a ridiculous record that may never be broken). Zverev could only barely turn the H2H in his favour (4-3) when Roger was nearing retirement. Something very similar applies to Roger's H2H with Djokovic, which Novak also only turned in his favour (and not massively) when Roger was getting old, injured and slower.
If there's a one tennis player who's consistently on a decline of late despite having the potential to become a top player..and that player has to be Tsitsipas..? Something is seriously not right with his tennis for the last couple of years..?

Yeah I thought he was gonna take off after his breakthrough year and he seemed to believe in his own hype and lost focus or something.
He was a serious player up until that aus open final last year. He hasn’t been the same since
He can't even slice properly.
If he developed a good slice that alone will win him many matches.
his tennis went down after dating Badosa. too much fun in bed rather than tennis court. lol
I wonder why he was consistently top 7 for years if this is the case?
Fils had passion and style. Kudos!
Fils humbled Stefanos today lmao
