I saw a cartoon about this, and it follows: While signing in for the committee meeting the man at the desk asked what the Banker's were signing when the sign in log was on the table. One Banker proudly answered, "Checks".
Why do we put OUR money in a bank when bankers pay us measly 3% when they loan it back to our neighbor & friends at 8.5%??
The bankers didn't earn the right or privilege for us to freely give them OUR money. Not to mention why do some bank CEO's make $100M a year and charge us the "depositor's" ATM fees and over draft fees.
It's time we wake up and pull our money from banks and invest our money outside a US bank. The system is playing all of us.
So which part of the capitalist system do you suggest we trust with our money ?
There is never an extra charge for using cash.
There are places that require you to have a bank acct to sign up with them.
Good luck finding an international bank that doesn’t do the same thing or if you find one, it will go out of business and take your deposit with it. This is how banks work and have always worked.

So when i left the wells fargo atm booth i felt lied to so i messaged katherine telling her off that shes a liar and just burnt me. But she told me "why did i burn her and got the money from the check." But i didnt get no money out the booth just returned the check without no recipt either
And he tells me "oh well sorry luis at the moment i wouldnt be able to cash this check for you"
I'm not hearing a really good exchange of soliloquies about, for example, the disconnect between regulation, bank support for consumer lending, and credit lending rates for the ATM cards they don't have.

Politicians show people they did something minimum before the storm😂. It's a show to the voters. There is no serious audit system, no consequence for anything. Storm will come that's only reason they are doing this. I am curious why bankers need to listen to these politicians. They lobby them.
Investment in infrastructure and business opportunities like the CHIPS Act is better than low taxes for the wealthy. Feeding the poor and helping everyone with healthcare should be and are Federal government priorities. The wealthy have duped ordinary people into supporting billionaire welfare.

This whole show is so entertaining as Congress persons sit there as self-proclaimed heroes of their constituents while taking subtle jabs at their opposing political party. Then here are random big bankers who agreed to show up sit there probably wanting to pluck their finely coifed hairs out strand-by-strand (those who have any). Meanwhile hard-working and middle income Americans continue to get denied needed financial services, get the run around by super-corporations and bear the burdens of interest and taxes that pay for everyone's services. Other than all of this rhetoric I wonder what changes are put in place to actually help hard-working and middle income citizens achieve financial goals/stability?

You can't get a loan for just a plot of land but possibly for a house on the land. It's likely only worth it if you invested in multihome. Single family homes pose high risk and can leave you rekt.
