Guys, I loved this video! I’ve been watching from almost the very beginning. At the end you forgot to say, move the house and add a larger basement for when the kids out grow their bedrooms 😉
And that little barn that you want to cute’n up would make a great “she shed/studio/party place” 🤷‍♀️

I felt that way about my first house and even more with my second. We were moving to a new town and looked at hime after home for a couple of months. Every time we drove from the realtor’s office into town to look at the next house, we’d drive by a particular home and every time I’d sigh and say, “I wish THAT house would come in the market! It’s just so perfect!” And then the realtor called, all excited, to tell me my “dream home” was going on the market!! My husband and I bought a townhouse 42 years ago not knowing how long we would stay. We are still living in it affect many redos and refreshes. We decided after we had our 2 kids to not move as many of our friends were. It became more important for us to spend time with our kids then move to a bigger house. We were both teaching and trying to live within our means as well as save. Moving would have meant my husband working a second job instead of coaching our kids in sports and other weekend activities. We were able to take a nice vacation each year and make memories. Our kids have moved out and we are enjoying painting and redecorating their rooms as well as several other rooms. We are happy here and feel we made the right decision. Now if I could only get him to part with his stuff, lol.

I love you little house it is so beautiful. We live in the blue mountains in Australia and did something similar. We bought an old crappy house on a big block in the bush. We have been here 15yrs and still renovating. Everything takes time and money but I love my little house.

Dawn - I am a grandma of five & live in Scottsdale, Arizona.(hint: being a mom is fun but being a MiMi, my micro preemie identical twin granddaughters named me, is HEAVEN!😇). I live in an absolutely totally different part of out beautiful country. It is so fun seeing your lovely farm🏡 when I look out at the desert & cactuses instead. UA-cam recommended you to me & I have learned from you. Got the guts to take off the inside of my oven door to clean it, lol. Thanks for sharing your life with us - even old grandmas can learn new things.

You've done such great work! Thankfully Tom is a construction whiz! Just think how much $$ he's saved you by doing it himself! Dawn, you keep saying you're not a decorator, but look at all of the beautiful things you've done! The new master looks great! The kids rooms look so awesome. I'm sure once your first foster child arrives, their room will be a dream. Those sun rises are priceless! It seems to me that you've chosen a beautiful property, and are transforming it into your family's perfect dream home! Everything you've done is just beautiful! What a lucky family you are! ❤ ❤ ❤

Hi Dawn and Tom - Great video of your dream home. You two are a fabulous example of a family doing everything they can to make a "home" for your family. I use to think a big house was "fabulous". Now I realize a little house with an organized base is really the answer. Thanks for sharing and continued success. Love PegEgg

What a sweet story. You have your dream house and I have my dream job. A job I wanted from the first time I heard about it. Three years later it was mine. Now 24 years in, it was a God Move. He made it happen and knew where I wanted and needed to be to use my talents. It is such an unusual specialty career that I never would have or could have achieved it on my own. I am happy for you and your family because it is where you are meant to be and you know it. There is a great peace in that, and the vibe it has, shows. I enjoy all your videos.
