The imagery in the bridge is Especially vivid and descriptive. The entire song is written about “vivi” where the adjective “viv” means, in many languages, “to live”. So from this we have two possible interpretations of the song. This song can be thought of as a song about a girl, who is his “vivi” or “his life”. A more accurate interpretation i think is that vivi is his life. This is solidified as he talks about writing a letter. The entire song is about him not being able to say the right things, before he leaves every thing behind. In his words he says “I leave behind, and you with it..” in a sense he’s leaving behind his life. Even this guitar version hits me with nostalgia... No matter which version of this song I hear, I always get nostalgic & depressed....I usually get emotional when I hear songs with piano, but this is one of the very few songs that make me emotional even with non-piano versions. The meaning as well as the chord progression of the song are just...too emotional for me ;_; It just makes me realize that my life will never get better than what I am now, and just makes me want to hurt myself. Really, I just feel how better life was for me in the olden days... Nostalgic feels. 😢
I keep coming back to this video ever since I found it in the summer of 2019, the lyrics are absolutely beautiful, it really describes many aspects in my life, like how I always mess up in my life goals and try to fix things back into place, many times I'm trying to make progress I fail to do a single thing as I want and I feel worthless. Also recently I have developed a form of social anxiety that makes me feel uncomfortable when I'm with other teenagers my age, it's not exactly shyness, but it makes me struggle to talk properly with the proper words, also I'm 17 years old. I've always had difficulties to say what I want and make choices without being afraid, I'm gradually fixing these issues, but now I have developed this social anxiety thing. It's such a sad life that I got :-(

it can sound spooky, right? but it really isn't. its talking about how children from the town are growing up and leaving, going to look for bigger futures. people talk about them behind, talking about the possibility of them reaching their goals, or exclaiming when they see them famous or on tv.
I see it as the singer not being able to convey his true feelings to his love partner, and eventually leaving them behind.
there's also a theory that the singer is deformed in the original music video, because the singer may view himself as a monster, and maybe that could be why he left "vivi" behind.

No matter which version of this song I hear, I always get nostalgic & depressed....I usually get emotional when I hear songs with piano, but this is one of the very few songs that make me emotional even with non-piano versions. The meaning as well as the chord progression of the song are just...too emotional for me ;_;

I keep coming back to this video ever since I found it in the summer of 2019, the lyrics are absolutely beautiful, it really describes many aspects in my life, like how I always mess up in my life goals and try to fix things back into place, many times I'm trying to make progress I fail to do a single thing as I want and I feel worthless. Also recently I have developed a form of social anxiety that makes me feel uncomfortable when I'm with other teenagers my age, it's not exactly shyness, but it makes me struggle to talk properly with the proper words, also I'm 17 years old. I've always had difficulties to say what I want and make choices without being afraid, I'm gradually fixing these issues, but now I have developed this social anxiety thing. It's such a sad life that I got :-(

This cover is... Just beautiful. So hopeless but poetic. I relate to this song sometimes. I know a certain someone for about 5 years and she is very caring towards me. I've also been that way towards her. Except not really. I hate myself. I've become one with negativity long years ago and can't express true care towards someone unless to hurt myself more or out of guilt for feeling like a horrible person. She, like I said, really cares for me but I just don't feel it. I feel her trying her best to show appreciation but then something catches those words and they become nothing to me. It's horrible.
