- Today Briony takes a look at the new HERO Chair from Noblechairs. It promises a lot, but does it deliver? Briony puts her posterior into full 'test' mode for this one!

Briony's reviews are getting better. And her hair is only second best behind GN Steve's.
That Steve looks like a disgusting caveman. His hair looks like a fluffy mess, and the way he constantly touches it is gross. He ruins that entire channel for me.
Bought and just assembled this chair based on this review. No regrets. The lumbar support is not a gimmick. It does the trick. ~78 kg, 191 cm, male
you're pretty skinny, bro. Today, I tried this chair but as for me (182 cm and 83 kg) I'd like the back rest be longer.
hey @sjofelumsk how did it ended up being? would you still recommend this chair?
Just got mine, and struggled a little with assembly. Searched for a few guides, and they all seem to be obnoxious, so yours helped a lot!
Excellent review. You covered everything, including details that other reviewers left out. In fact, your review has tipped the scales for me and I'll be ordering the chair right now. Thank you for your work. Quite impressive, really.
Awesome. Thank you for the detailed explanation. Making you tube videos means I’m in the chair quite at lot. I will go for one of these. Thanks. Craig
Just got this chair today. And sat in it for the first time 10 minutes ago.
This thing is amazing so far. The Armrest adjust in several ways, it is quite firm but veery supportive.
It's very wide. I'm a big dude. 250 lbs, 5'10, kinda chunky and there's room. The recline is smooth and feels well built.
Back is quite high and you won't likely need the pillow for your back. The chair has an adjustable lumbar wheel that's fine.
Maybe the neck pillow will be useful.
I do graphic design for my 9-5 and side biz. I'm at my desk weekends for hours. 12 to 14 hours sometimes. Nights often from 8:00pm to 3 or 4 in the morning.
Really looking forward to this chair helping. Found it online for about $440. Very happy so far.
It's great that Noble Chairs has FINALLY decided to include a built in adjustable lumbar support system. The only thing I can think of that can actually push ergonomics to the next level is to include an adjustable footrest so your feet are always resting on a solid structure.
That said, Secret Labs has been doing this on their Titan series chairs for years.
Technically, it really isn't that hard to make extremely comfortable sporty seats since luxury sporty cars have been achieving this for ages.
Honestly, all these chairs should have footrests. I guess they want to sell you their own and make extra cash. At least have the option.
Hasn't the maxnomics chair with an adjustable lumbar also been out for a while?
noblechair offer footrest .. but it's not included.. you have to buy it separately
They sell a footreat for like 120€, very expensive. You would probably be better off buying a foot stand off amazon or something
I am 5'10" 99kg, and sometimes suffer with lower back-ache. My previous chair (Alphason 'Northland') lost all comfort in the seat, as the foam collapsed to nothing in just a few months, and I ended up sitting on the metal frame. I have been researching chairs and have narrowed it down to the Noblechairs 'Hero' or SecretLabs 'Titan', as I like the idea of built-in lumbar support. Can anyone help me decide which one to buy? I would especially like to hear from anyone who has used a chair for about a year, so that I know that it will be durable.
Thanks Briony! My local PC retailer told me Noblechairs was one of the best brands when it comes to gaming chairs. They're doing a sales this weekend but I had no idea what model to choose. Your explanations helped me. I'm getting a Hero.
Thanks for your review I have now purchased this and its amazing no more back pain due to the lumbar support and you.
I bought mine in December last year, it's actually shocking at how well designed and comfortable this chair is.
I know what you're thinking, it's worthless to buy a gaming chair cause they're so expensive but when it comes to your back, spending 500 pounds now instead of spending thousands of pounds for back surgeries is probably a smart choice.
The lumbar support is a game changer, I felt a disgusting amount of pain the last three years with dining room chairs and your casual office chairs but because of the lumbar intergration I feel 95% less pain.
It's definitely worth the price and I would 10 out of 10 times buy it again.
Looking at buying one of these once this whole lockdown bs is over here in New Zealand. The only thing putting me off is the starting price for the hero is roughly $760 Nz dollars and goes up from there. But you are right better to invest in a very good chair especially if your spending hours upon hours in it, then that money on a back specialist.
@@sonofskyrim1331 Yeah the price sucks but it's definitely worth it, back problems are the worse when it comes to the human body so rather invest in it now than feel regret later.
Hello from Southeast Asia! This review helped me decide on what chair to buy and I could not be happier! Loving the design and comfort and as a large person it fits perfect. However in my country they sell it pretty cheap about 220 pounds or 250 USD so that’s nice haha thanks kitguru!
KAB 24hr office chair is the only gaming chair I'll ever use, 5 year 24/7 use warranty the K1 is expensive but after three years it's like brand new ;)
2021 and this chair is still great. I just got mine delivered today. The only flaws is that it doesn't go lower, as she shows in her video. So if you are of average size, your feet might not fully touch the floor, which is bad for blood flow and in that case you should get a foot rest and mainly order the shorter gas lift. This also means that the head rest is positioned higher up. This leads me to the next flaw and that is that the pillows attachments are made too short for the size of the chair. This means, you cant easily move the headrest lower on the chair. I pushed mine to the maximum lowest position and it feels that the straps are gonna just about to break, but so far so good for me at least. The lumbar pillows straps are also shorter, so moving the pillow up and down is very difficult. However Im not gonna use it, as the integrated lumbar support is great. Besides, the size of the seat becomes smaller with the pillow as you cant move it forward, which would have been a cool feature.
just wondering, how tall are you ?
im 6'6 just ordered it today i hope itll be a good fit
Hey man! Im also the same height and looking at getting the same chair. What do you think about yours is it a good fit??
So, how is the chair?
Great review. I didn't realise the cushions came with the chair. It looks well built as well.
I'm tempted as a taller guy, my current chair does the job but doesn't do anything great in any department. This looks like it has better lumbar support by far and the extra height of the head rest looks great. May wait for a flash sale or special offer though or a flash sale, I'd feel waves of guilt shelling out that amount for it.
Chris Hexx I'd rather invest in a proper office chair if i were you.Racing/gaming chairs are really firm and im not sure their ergonomics are a perfect fit
Got a reasonable office chair already but could do better. I'll always take a look at them as well before choosing what to buy.
You have pretty much sold me this chair which i guess is what any company wants from a reviewer. You are so much more natural in presenting your reviews. I hope Leo appreciates your value;)
Thank you for this video. Your review was very informative and I really enjoyed the building part you showed, gives possible buyers a glimpse of what to expect.
What would u choose between HERO (Noblechairs) and OMEGA (secretlabs)? i saw ur two reviews and i can't make up my mind. Tx, and new follower!
This is a very good review of the chair, I really liked the concise comparisons to the other two noblechairs models - and the LoL analogy was just adorable 😊.
How has the thing aged? is it still in use or been supplanted by some new kind on the block?
Does the tilt mechanism for the Hero and Epic allow for multiple lock positions or does it only lock in the upright, level position? Lastly, Hero or Epic?
Thanks for the review, just ordered the Doom chair which is based on the Hero chair
We will be reviewing that one very soon, keep your eye out for it !
@@KitGuruTech I have been thinking of a decent chair for a million years, I was originally thinking a dx racer. I am still a pretty hardcore Quake player, would have loved a quake chair, there was one a couple of years ago (DX racer) but more or less impossible to get hold of now. When I saw the Doom chair, I instantly wanted it, I like many have been playing Doom since the good old days of DM on old ipx networks right up to hardcore doom eternal (which was like Doom 2016 just better :D). Can't wait for the chair, Im UK and its showing a release 31st Aug.
@@Emexrulsier i just got the doom one, i'm in US. idk if i need to break it in or something, but it's quite uncomfortable bc it's so damn firm. i just sat in it for like 30min playing doom eternal and my back and butt hurt so bad rn. maybe after a few days/weeks it'll be better, but i'm worried i wasted my money. the only good thing i can say for first impressions is it helps me sit up straight easier. lmk what u think when u get it
@@evanage It will get better, like anything leather (even fake leather). Take a nice pair of leather shoes and they bloody hurt and rub the back of your heal for a week or two before the material finally softens after use.
@@Emexrulsier you're right. i watched a review of someone who owned one for 8 months and they said it was stiff at first but after about a month of break in it's just right. plus the design looks super sick too. hope you enjoy yours when it comes in :)
Hey, which do you prefer the Noblechair Epic or Hero. Or can you make a video about the difference between Epic and Hero. Which one you think I should buy ?
@KitGurutech after having this chair for a year do you prefer it, or the Icon? Also, if you have tried the Secret labs Titan how does it compete to the Hero?
1 year later and no answer...
@@helbrassen4576 Hey! I ended up ordering the Hero, and the matching foot rest. They’re both of very high quality, excellent ergonomics, and no visible wear after daily use for nearly a year. I’m happy!
@@hayden199516 I'm considering the Secretlab evo 2022 over the Noblechair hero.
I liked the review and was going to buy one. I checked with Noblechairs first, and I'm too short! The recommended user height range for this chair is height for this chair is 180cm - 210cm. The shorted gas struts mention are for the Epic and Icon chairs.
The shorter gas lifts work with the Hero too
@@willwastakenthe seat will be too long for shorter legs i think
@@Pre911 It's fine for me, I'm 165cm
@@willwastaken so you mean that you haven't any issues with seat pushing your legs, maybe you changed gas lift or using some pillow for your legs? I ordered Epic because my wife isn't tall, almost the same like you, so whole day thinking about it, maybe it's was a mistake, because i need only 30 euro extra for hero version...
@@Pre911 Yeah I have no issues, although if I was any smaller then it would be too big. I have the shortest gas lift available and I don't need to have it all the way down.
The Epic is probably a nicer shape to be honest, the Hero is quite flat and the adjustable lumbar support isn't great
Is this chair or the secret labs titan better? I've heard the titan is firm, which I don't like. Is the hero soft? Thanks.
After alot of reviews I think hero isnt softer than hero
Should I get the Epic or the Hero? I sit on my chair for about 10 hours a day, I work from home and I also do Sim Racing.
I'm 100kg and 1.84cm
Having the epic myself and comparing your height/weight to my own, I would definitely say the hero.
@@Ulrahgol Alright thanks for the answer, going to get the Hero now
1.72cm and 68kg, epic or hero? Hero plx
@@igorcanellas3863 hi mate. Which one you choose? Have almost the same dimensions, ordered epic, some guys said that hero will be too hard with low weight, but only 30 euros extra for hero, hope i will like epic 😬
Does it glow through the breathable leather at the back??? Mine has a weird starlight glow and I don’t know if it’s normal or not
I would love to buy one but it seems like its completely sold out just like the SecretLab chairs currently.
Very nice chair i have a DX Racer Formula and i love it.. if they can get that price down a touch more i would consider one of these as my next future gaming chair.. it does look quality though.
Need that bolstering when taking the corners at over 1G. Glad they managed to hit every meme with this chair.
Very nice video and excellent review.
Just bought the black edition with hybrid leather 🤩
Me too :) Just in time too, since it looks like they just sold out of them where I am.
Instructions great for every product you review, I like!
Hello what do you say after 3 years ??
what is the width between the armrests from far left to far right? My DX racer is to slim when I put my arms out for PC games they fall off the edge.
Kitgurutech since you have tried all 3 types of Noble chairs which do you prefer and why?
She is named Briony
It's so big for you, how tall are you?
I know this is an old video (it’s only just shown up on my list!) but this looks identical to the Secret Lab chairs which you have also recently reviewed.
Happy to see that the only thing in this video that is not fake, is the chair itself.
Thanks for review ✌️
She's come a long way since the days of gaming world UK.
Interesting review but I think I’ll stick with my Herman Miller Aeron - comfortable for office and gaming... well, sitting at a desk in front of a computer anyway!
ty very much for this very good review!
Wonderful review.
I wish I could mow the lawn that fast! Great video thanks.
Does anyone know what PC desk that is in the background? I really want this setup at home but I am struggling to find anything similar to this. If anyone knows the answer could you let me know please? Thanks... 0:16
curious if anyone has any comments regarding this Noblechairs Hero compared to the SecretLabs Titan?
Very good review, I have the EPIC series leather one, will look at the hero when this one starts to break (so far pretty good but armrests bubbled and broke of pieces a bit)
I'm using a mesh chair, best for summers.
What an absolute beauty. Chair looks good too.
do you find the armrests too wide?
After 15 months owning this chair , i can't recommend it, armrest are very loose and cracks all the time, also if you have a normal posture, the chair is to wide (armrest) , comfort itself and sitting is fine, have the black/red edition, small "ventilation" dots in the leather, lot of dust inside :( , you notice it good at 9:16 in the review
Just got the leather version.
I was looking at secret lab just to find out they're back support for taller guys, even with the titan or xl are trash. then i really wanted corsair just to find out they're trash aswell lol, then i found royal but they don't ship to Canada. then i came across this I'm sold
May u have a Clicking/Popping sounds coming from yours Corsair’s T2?
Are you tall? Which size fit with Hero?
please do a Noblechairs vs Secret Lab Comparison vid
Ever noticed Noble chairs and Secretalab chairs have almost identical parts and fittings....
Good review. thx for sharing!
Im still loving the Epic i got like 6 months ago and will last me a long time, glad you got the new one and would like to know if you prefer this to the Epic one?
hows the epic holding up after 2+ years? I know its getting a lot of ass hours during the pandemic.
@@razorbacks9034 Like a champ, it's still "new" and even better now that my shape is "imprinted" on it. Really a great chair.
@@gr33nbits93 Thanks for the quick response. Kinda glad to hear that its holding up after a few years. Most of these reviews are either "1 month use, or just out of the box".
@@razorbacks9034 You are very welcome, yes mine is but I must say that I do treat all my stuff with care specially if it is tech related.
@@gr33nbits93 How tall are you? I hate gaming chairs because they have no lumbar support, but this one is a step in the right direction there. Problem is it's built for taller people and I'm not sure it'll work for me.
Gonna be buying one of these solely on the look especially since they are making a Skyrim one which is my favorite game :(
I just love the way you say "squishy". This seems like the "next step" away from those silly lumbar support pillows and Noblechairs along with Corsair don't have that screaming in your face GAMER style as well
My Icon hurt my arse for months. Now I would never want another chair, love the shit out of it.
Which is better, icon or hero in real leather version both?
depends on your height
If you're short, get the hero and their -5cm gas lift
hey which one do you like more noblechair Hero or secretlab Omega/titan?
used Herman Miller if you are not 11 yo :)
@@ikomu8907 blablabla
@@ikomu8907 Buying a used chair some sweaty dude has been using for years for hundreds of pounds? 🙄
anyone managed to tilt their chair forward somehow with something? i cant sit on this at all. If the seat wasnt tilted back but straight it might work. I cant even reach the ground
recommended size?
?
The arm rests should be longer and padded with leather.
I tried a fully assembled one at a store yesterday with only the head pillow. It was definitely the most comfortable of the 4 gaming chairs that were on display. It's is expensive but just think of the hours you'll spend in it, i think its worth it 100%.
I'm 6'2 230lbs and I think the armrests are too far out too. I think it's good if you're going to use it for a pc where you'll be sitting up and out, but I'll be using a ps4 controller and they are too far to use them. Luckily the back padding sticks out so my elbows are supported.
Pretty decent chair.
7:58 thank you for this reference
How tall are you?
So I have this chair about a year now, and the firm cushion is not good for prolonged periods. For the past month I've been in this chair for about 12hrs and now I have coccyx pain... which I have appropriately named as ass nerve damage. Be warned peeps, if you're planning on doing long hauls in this chair, probably get yourself a softer seat cushion.
hi does this chair comes with a screwdriver?
Yes
Excellent review! You’re awesome!!
How hard is the seat?
Thank you for your very good and complete review.
(sorry in advance for my poor english lol)
Does someone know if the rocking chair system (called "Reclining function" by NobleChairs, and I don't talk about the adjustable backrest angle)) can be blocked when the chair is in position "back tilted" ?
Great review. Everything i needed to know. I'm debating on buying this chair, but the user weight is something that concerns me. I don't exceed the 180kg, but i'm not far off it. Spending £350 on a chair, for it to break, is not a comforting thought. Any idea what would happen if that occured? @KitGuruTech
Why oh why do these chairs not have a footrest???
Great chair review!
burda de bueno la explicación de esta chica en este vlog, muy coooooooollllll
Briony, thank you!)
Is there a UK release date for this?
It's on sale now from Overclockers.
So is it better than Epic series?
Yes. This is their flagship model.
@@YTJonTripp what does that mean
looks very good, plan to have one like that soon :D
Good review. Thanks. By the way love your hair.
Sounded sarcastic when you said the chair arrived with plenty of thin padding to protect it. 🤔 😂
I have the same height as you
Between the icon and the hero which of the two you prefer and uses more in the day to day
That lumbar support pillow doesn't look very effective.
This is a cool chair!
No cushioning for arms at such an expensive price 😞
There is padding in the arms rests .
I don’t get why all the major brands still use the “padded” rubber arms. My Vertagear PL6000 has them and they’re not comfortable at all.
I think the lumbar adjustment is much more important than padding on the armrest lol. Who even uses armrests anyways, your elbows should rest on your desk
So you're telling me you should never kick back in your chair to watch something? I should just always sit upright with my elbows on the desk?! LOL. Anyway, why shouldn't a chair of this price have decent lumbar AND armrests? You clearly weren't thinking when you commented...
Ergonomically speaking, you definitely shouldn't be resting your elbows on your desk. Your elbows should be at your sides, close to your body.
never could get myself to look at the chair for very long
que tiene mucha agilidad armando la silla, es fantastica
Good review
I bought this chair 2 weeks ago, I'm 1m75 and 82 kilograms, for your ass this chair is fine but man this chair give me backpain, no matter how I adjust the lumbar support. Thought I spend some extra cash to take care of my back problems but nope.. not comfortable at all... the armrests are also to far apart, even on the closest setting.
Durability probably very high, solid materials at the base but comfortwise its a no, no.
you're too short for this one, icon or epic would be better
Hero version is made for fatboys.
I have 2 reason watching this video.
actually 3 :)
Now, if I can just find someplace that sells it in the US!!!
Buy maxnomic
with your 40kg you shouldnt have any problem with any chair anyway why even bother -..- ?
Don't mind me, I'm just here to gorp at the creepy and inappropriate comments.
Thing is I want a gaming chair that does not look like a racing seat and does not have wheels. Nice and wide, comfortable but without the rally car bucket seat look.
I would agree with that. KitGuru has become more about sponsored and paid for content I think.
