I'm glad summoning Shenron isn't that easy and involves way more risks aside who does the summoning combo. Playing without using any meter is tough
Fresh 2D Toucher Buddies this way of summoning shenron is just stupid and is just a waste. It also seems like a waste of time and effort and the wish is so short lived.

I'm curious to see if Shenron becomes a factor at high level play. Like, during the course of a game, five or six balls end up naturally occurring, and then the players start jockeying for the final balls and a make-or-break chance to summon. That'd be kinda sick.
Probably not. High level play normally involves combo optimization so you probably won't see the one and two star dragon balls, not to mention meter usage is so important to staying ahead in the game, which interferes with needing to save up seven stocks to summon Shenron, telegraphing your intentions and making sure your opponent blocks the auto combo.
iliveinsingapore That's actually what I'm trying to point out. Considering that 1 and 2 star balls aren't likely to naturally occur, once five balls come out and then suddenly one player decides to work towards the sixth ball (which would almost certainly be an auto-combo for the 2 star ball), then it's basically shots fired; we know EXACTLY why they did that auto-combo and what they're aiming for. Suddenly it becomes a game of preventing that last ball and/or trying to steal it and the summon for yourself. It's unlikely, but it's possible.
I like that you share dragon balls. It's a good way of punishing someone that only uses the auto combo.
prmr619 then again, you need 7 meter to use them, so you're better off punishing them normally with stronger combos
I had a match where we had all the balls and I did the autocombo but there was no Shenron. I had no idea it was because I didn't have a completely full meter. Thank you
They're going to have to buff revive option to give back at least half health, as of now I don't think there's any reason to choose it over the other 3
Mr. Zoom The Dab King the reason why revive is good as it is because it give you back an assist as well as a combo extender

One time, I actually summon shenron without realizing how that happened.
If that's how you have to fight to get the dragonballs, you're better off without them. fights don't usually last this long either anyway.
Game Hunter Neoluce they aren't meant to be given away but used instead as a tactic, it can make u come back if u are behind for example.

Shoaib Zadran The Dragon Balls cannot be used by someone to make a comeback, because it costs 7 Meter that you could have been using to defend yourself in the first place to gain something worth much less than that.

Well yeah but in this case only jmcrofts was trying to get them. If the other guy had been doing autocombos (or even good normal combos) then both of them would have contributed to getting the dragon balls. I think the mechanic is meant for casual play where both players use a lot of autocombos.
I think certain characters should have some more entertaining wishes.
Like Buu would wish for it to rain candy then you and the opponent could pick it up for a small bit of health recovery.
Or after a wish with Goku, a small cutscene of King Kai sad he didn’t get wished back to life

Thats WAAAAAY to complicated because that means that Every character would need a Unique wish and some characters dont even have a wish to begin with, like What would Beerus wish for?

I see your point though, but we wouldn't need EVERY character to have that unique wish, just a few to certain characters that would add some levity to the situation if the player chooses to.
I mean imagine how many people would play as Buu just so they can troll people with that raining candy wish? Or Beerus summon Shenron just to tell him to "F*** off."?
CompletelyNewguy Well i Beerus would kinda work as a punish for people who use dragon balls too often, like the enemy makes all the work just for beerus to tell him to go away
And even tho using certain characters is ok some players will find it rather rare and demand that his main (or something else) can have a custom wish hell they would even demand that you have to type th wish
How useful the immortality wish actually is, depends on how good the player you're up against is. They can still technically ko you (but not as quickly.) without giving you an opportunity to make a move.
I summoned him by accident and picked the second option in story mode a couple days ago.
You forgot to mention, that when you are immortal, you also, from what i understand, quite slowly gain health aswell if you have no blue health to regen, its very slow, but it does add up.
You forgot to mention that sparking with immortality refills ur HP bar very fast
Also... Well... Idk how it is in the PS4 but in the Xbox you could also press Right Trigger (RT) and Right Bumper (RB) at the same time to activate Sparking

Hey another way to get dragon ball is to use dragon rush and then use snap back or "get out of here"

Easiest way to get them is burst early imo. Use a spark to get a spark... usually need resurrection by the time you get it.

Looking like it. My friend baited me into getting GGXrd for PC. Turns out the game has few 'new' players on PC, learning curve was a bit too steep for me to learn anyway. Everything seemed really tight, to the point of being really hard to do. and thats in training. Wondering if DBFZ is the same? I'm actually more hyped for 3S coming out on steam in May.
SFV AE is just as garbage as it was before though. Adding a shiny hud and some new v-triggers didn't make SFV suddenly worth playing.
BoneJacker TV DBFZ is honestly just really fun to play, the auto combos are great for people who don't typically play fighting games, if they made it SF: Dragon Ball edition, then they would alienate so many people, but it's a game the both players can appreciate, I can't wait to get into the training mode and pick some of my favourite characters and learn them, if you treat it just a little bit like a fighting game and block and have patience you'll be fine, because after a few months the people who played it cuz it was DBZ and not a fighter game will leave and the fighter community will still be there playing it
There's quite a lot of new guilty gear players, just that learning curve means that those slightly less new than you often look like monsters.
I wish it was only when you do a Combo with a Certain Amount of hits & no AutoCombo Dragon Balls, because all it’s gonna do is promote Spamming AutoCombos. & I know I know the AutoCombos don’t do too much damage & are pretty predictable & you need full Meter but Jesus is it gonna be annoying when you’re trying to have a serious Match Online but the Opponent is just Spamming AutoCombos to get Shenron...
it only works if they finish their unsafe combo, and if you build meter with real combos you'll likely be in a position to steal it and reap that sweet salt.
If it was with anything else but autocombos would be a disaster. That's exactly why it's there. Autocombos are the easiest thing to deal and counter in the game.
Forgot about Sparks combo extension using the teleport as well as a good combo bouncer
What would happen if you choose immortality and use spark? Would you regain blue HP faster?
I know how to do it already also if you use goku and tapping triangle you get 26 combo or 20 combo

Question: is there a time limit to how long you can take to pick your wish once Shenron is summoned? In other words, what's to stop me from summoning Shenron, putting my controller down and going into my kitchen to get a snack while the other player can't do anything? I'm sure something exists to prevent that, I just want to know what it is.

That’s what he is talking about when he says “auto-combo”, but the only other way I know of getting Dragonballs is by getting a combo within a certain number of hits
10 hits- 1 Star Dragonball
20 hits- 2 Star Dragonball
30 hits- 3 Star Dragonball
Etc...
