How do you deal with pairs that are bonded but you need to split them in order to take your stud forward - by using one of the birds to another partner?
Another brilliant episode pal loved the cinnamon explanation but that little trick with the cock in cage is brilliant to get a pair you want to breed 👏👏👏
My question is are there different species of canaries? I have several that are all the same size, but I purchased one site unseen and it’s much larger than the canaries that I have. I’m not sure how to go about finding out the difference.
hey, should they already be breeding? I am in Canada... and i have a pair for about 6 months now. in the same cage entire time. 0 problems. he does chase her around a bit, but its nothing serious and the cage is quite large and long. dont see any nesting, introduced materials etc but nothing... but i provided a plastic one with felt liner... introduced Egg and other stuff... they are on pellets and seeds. ive seen the female sleep in the cage at night a few nights last week.. but nothing this week. cock bird chases her around the cage at times, especially food dish (they have 2 food and water on seperrate ends of the cage). Should i just keep waiting? I'm on 12-12 now, from about 7-730pm) then i cover the cage up at that time. uncover when i get up around 7-730. Supplement with some lights during the day and they are in room with window and direct sunlight in the morning.
And that's why you're the best in the business mate. Fabulous episode and information, brilliant birds, and thanks for the shout-out.
