She's such a brave and articulate young lady. Not too many young people would be so open and talk about bipolar. Wishing her all the best. 🙏❤🙏❤ l love Talia!

Very kind and brave of this young woman to be so vunerable and honest for the benefit of others. Reading the scriptures encourages me. I recommend the Gospel of John.

Dr. Brush did an excellent job of explaining the scans in laymen terms. I've watched dozens of Amen Clinic videos the past few years and this is literally the first time I've actually understood what I was seeing in the scans. Using a marker to circle areas on the scans was so helpful. Thank you Dr. Brush!

Huh? Bipolar II spends most of their time depressed and only go hypomanic for a while

I know. If she was manic most of time she wouldn't be put on wellbutrin either.

She is so cute! I just love her. She looked so guilty when the docter was describing the behavior associated to areas of activity in her brain scan. Looks like the Doc was spot on.

I love that professionals are now acknowledging the effects of stress. In fact (I am an RN and taught nursing and worked ICU), I wrote a book in 2005 called Peace Management because of the detrimental effects of stress. I am so thankful health care professionals are now acknowledging this . Thank you!!!! There are definitely techniques that work to teach your brain not to activate the stress response.

what if its not bipolar and its a misdiagnosis? Its possible she could have a personality disorder like borderline personality disorder. Dr Ramani has great videos on these disorders. Bipolar manic episodes last for weeks it does not come and go quickly. If her moods are shifting rapidly it may not be bipolar. In addition she says shes had a life time of unease feelings and doesnt know who she is.

How do you know how much is due to medication and how much a mental health struggle alone?

Theres lots of controversy with dr amens work. Not really sure how to feel about him and his work. I guess if people are transforming for the better then it is what it is. Otherwise im not so sure i agree with his methods although i do agree with much of what he says.

Why cut out the word benzodiazepines?

    • @ViewtifulVision
      @ViewtifulVision 3 роки тому +2

In the original video she mentioned that marijuana and benzodiazepines could cause the scalloping of the brain. Maybe she took back that statement?

    • @katiie7

I know benzodiazepine brain scans can look like some of the worst. Perhaps pharma got involved since they’re such a risky drug yet still being prescribed. Like saying that anything can cure the C word on UA-cam it makes pharma upset, all about the profit. Who knows.

The thing this doctor may not realize is that some people like myself have tried literally over 35 medications and benzodiazepines are the only thing that actually helps with my anxiety long term. It’s like a catch 22, not have a scalloped brain and have horrific constant levels of ruminating and obsessive thoughts and suicide level depression and anxiety, or have a scalloped brain and be on the meds. It feels utterly hopeless sometimes.

Please look into adding L-Meythlfolate 15mg daily.Do your research and talk to your doctor first and see if it's something that may work for you.It changed everything for me.Good luck & many blessings!

I totally understand what you’re saying & how it feels as I have anxiety and when the panic attacks started I wasn’t able to even go outside for several months. It’s so embarrassing and it feels like your brain is in jail. I don’t want to live when they are happening.

  • @Lindsey0007

Wow I relate so much to this, except the manic episodes.
