I’m 66yrs old, & until this week I’d NEVER heard of the word chatoyant. Then, when watching the Andy Paramore ‘Cornish Creations’ UA-cam channel, he said something about “look at the chatoyant in that piece”. I saw what he was showing on screen, so I looked up the word! Then, you used it in this great little video. Have a great 2025! (New subscriber)
Beautiful bowl. Thank you for all the explanations, I learned a few things. I will be ordering my first Easy Wood tool tomorrow. Hooray for Christmas $
Beautiful work mate turned out nice not came across that wood though before 🤔🤷 came out beautifully hope you had good Christmas have great new year 🎊 party 🥳🥳
Watching your bowl turning, which is awesome, I went back and noticed at around :58 you were doing the side of the bowl and you raised your tool and just tapped it in the center of the top part of the bowl. Just curious why you did that as I haven't seen that nor have I ever done that. Just curious my friend...
Hey! Welcome…. So I did that to check to see if the blank was perfectly round, it’s a way to check without turning the lathe off, if you place the tool on top of the blank and it bounces you need to take off more material, if you put it on the blank and it runs smoothly with no bouncing then you know you are perfectly round, hope this helps
Thanks I appreciate it but unfortunately due to my living circumstances I do have to add music because of the background noise would make the video unbearable…. At least for the time being, I wish it didn’t have to be this way but I have to make the best of a bad situation, hope you understand
oh and at the time of this comment this video wasnt even released, only set up for premiere so you can only assume there is music..... ok, you assumed correct but still lol

@@jpwoodwork That's really good to know. Thanks
You are most welcome
Could you please share the dimensions of the blank?
Sure it was a 5inch square by 2inch deep blank
@@jpwoodwork Thank you for your reply and for sharing your knowledge with us. Beautiful bowl.

Like your work but you don't need to add music to your videos
