I really enjoy the find's, especially when I remember my first Christmas tree being silver with the rotating color wheel. It brings me back to such wonderful memories of my Mom and how she would decorate our home for Christmas. She passed away last November from Cancer. So when you glow with your treasures it reminds me of my Mom expression of happiness it brought to her. Thank you for giving me this wonderful memory. ❤🙏❤
Now this would be anxiety producing for me. That much stuff is overwhelming! I loved your reaction to the witch and pumpkin . You get so much joy out of your treasures. It’s lovely to see 😀
Hi rene, love your videos! I'm a dumpster queen from way back I have a few cool things I'll be sending your way (when I can find them) did I say I'm a hoarder kinda too. Love your sweet soul and be well. Peace, julie.
It's funny, I don't even remember seeing the lamp when I was at the sale. Then when editing the video, I noticed that (and the U2 Poster behind it) and wondered why I didn't pick it up?!
redd4poetry I think when she says what she paid and what it is worth it helps people to know what they should pay for a similar item. I always enjoy hearing it.
Oh Rene, the spun cotton children sledding are so cute. The "chocolate" bunnies and egg look so real! Great Easter decor! Lots of great items! Anxious for 3rd day vid. Whoo- Hoo!😅
I will be heading to an Estate Sale tomorrow...They even have ceramic Christmas trees and vintage Christmas decor listed...I hope get my hands at least one of the trees. But I love the thrill of digging and see what treasure I can find, its my kind of sale. :)
I have a set of videos from PBS...on hoarders, boy, this sale looks neat compared to the featured homes! When you go through things...don't mess the place up...LOL. That's the kind of sale my buddies and I "thirst" for!! I look for the practical stuff as well, especially in the workshop area...hardware...wood, machine screws, paint thinner, tools, etc. Clowns...I don't like 'em I have a couple of Kermit ornaments...Hallmark. In those basements, I'm a mole...dig into everything!
The garage didn't have many tools, that I recall. Just the usual shovels and garden hoses hanging from the wall. I love these types of digging sales, though afterwards I always question myself on why I didn't stay longer!
Oh, I've done that too...usually due to the clawing dealers! At least you had two return days. Your finds were neat...today [Friday] a buddy and I are going to two local estate sales...wish us luck!!! One looks a bit promising!?
All in all, you did very well. I certainly don’t think you will have any regrets on anything that you purchased. The little duck baby toy with the suction cup would have been placed on a high chair while feeding the baby... or not feeding. Sometimes mom just needed to ‘entertain’ the baby while she was cooking or something. Great finds! 😊👍🏻❤️ Added note: stenographer could be correct. A stenographer usually took shorthand, by means of dictation from perhaps an attorney, needing to send a letter. A really good secretary always needed good shorthand and typing skills. A stenographer was a position in the workplace. It could simply mean record keeping. That stenographer obviously had other skills, too.
I love 💕 your purchases, especially boy on sled! Witches, etc figurines. And the crowd.......good grief. Such dedication......That’s o.k, I would have watched for hours more. Great fun. From Patty in Seattle
I am one of those people who LOVE 💗 CLOWNS !!!! I Love going with you to Estate Sales and everything and anything you do !!! Such a ton of stuff.. I would have been there for HOURS !!! Thanks for sharing !!!
Hello Renee . That was insane. But totally amazing . There were lots of old baby toys that were from late 60s early 70s . I remember my niece having them. There was just so much. Can't wait to see the next video. Stay safe.💕💕💯💯📷📷🍄🍄🌸🌸
That was a smart move for the sellers, a lot of people like to dig for treasures, hence the GW bins. Thank you for taking me along, you were having fun.
It was very smart for this estate company because I cannot even imagine how long it would have taken them to go through every single box and price every item, especially in the basement!
Hi. I think that baby toy sticks to the tray of a highchair. My kids had something similar. I would have been in Heaven at that sale. I love digging through stuff
Thanks for taking us along with you, not what I normally buy but I enjoyed seeing it. I liked that chick baby toy and those Halloween and Christmas ornaments, ...you always seem to find Halloween stuff ! I really don’t like to dig through boxes of junk, (OK maybe a little bit)...Easy to get overwhelmed but it is nice to see you get so excited finding things
At this sale, it was very easy to get overwhelmed. When I ventured upstairs, I looked in one room and said it was time to go. There were just too many people with no room to even walk around a room. People were waiting outside of room doors just to get a chance to get in. Nope!
Via in Bethlehem has moved all their Christmas back downstairs so I visited last week. On the wall in the basement they have all their Easter, Halloween and Christmas there. I don't get any Easter but I got a great ceramic witch from Nantucket, very colorful. Not for me, for one of my friends in Florida who presently has more then 100 witches. And yes, she puts them all out at Halloween.
McDonalds happy meal toys are great for Christmas tree decorations. I have used them for years. Someday they'll be worth something, until then, they bring a certain joy to Christmas Love your videos, PAM, keep it real and keep it fun!
Old World Christmas ormanents, I have many, most I bought in the late 80's into 90's. I think they still make them and are reproductions of old versions and some are new. Thanks for sharing the Video and keep posting more.
Hi. While out of stock the witch and pumpkin are $75 each on the companies website. Some other children ornaments are over $100 each. Martha Stewart is a fan. Web site is blumchen.com.
I am glad you went & I got to see the stuff. I would have driven myself crazy with trying to grab everything I wanted and worrying what it was going to do to my budget, since I would just HAVE to HAVE IT, (whatever it was)! (Never let a collector with hoarder tendencies go to to a sale like that.)
Hiya Renee, well I’m defo not a hoarder😆! The pumpkin head scarecrow is a cannibal🤣! “Veritas” is Latin for “truth”; hope that helps at least a little! Having a friend is both blessing & bane. As you said; you’re laser focused but then someone finds something, taking your attention for a few secs which can throw you off. Tho it seemed she was very helpful digging out stuff for you & since she wasn’t buying no squabbles over who gets what, which is always a relief! Went thrifting w/ a new friend yesterday. It was great as she looks for different things than me. She was very patient w/ me since I’m the type that *must* look in every nook & cranny (find the best stuff that way!) We both did great & found a fab reasonably priced thrift shop! (It’s been there since the 70s & I’d forgotten I’d been there then & in the 80s; soon as I saw the diner that’s been there forever it clicked; fab diner as well!) So many fun treasures, looking forward to seeing what you got the next day you went! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🦇 PS sorry I’m having a hard time keeping up; this 2020 started out w/ a flurry of activity & hasn’t let up. Fine w/ me, much needed!
This January feels like we are in about the 57th day of the month haha, this week has been brutal for me! It was a help having my cousin's wife there, as like you said, she helped in digging and looking at things. She calls it "spooking around" and said she would go to an estate sale with me any time! It does make it fun hearing her reaction to some of the items. Glad you found (re-found?) the thrift shop! You can never go wrong with a classic diner either… I prefer a diner over a fancy restaurant any day!
Love your finds I loved the witch and pumpkin and Christmas figures best, I Don t think I would have coped with the crowd so was lovely to see it through your eyes ! 👀
Wow, this feels so weird... And I'm only watching you browsing through someones former stuff. As always you bought some gorgeous finds, great video again.
I'm wondering if this is the same sale Gemini Thrifts attended..hmmm..wonderful items Rene. My favorite are tty he Easter pieces. Now take creepy clown chuckie and throw him in the River🤣🤣
throw-away comment...did you know "Red Skeleton" was pretty famous for painting clowns. i got to see a lot of them in a gallery at St. Petersburg Beach, Fl.
I’ve been to one that was even worse. A collector friend of mine for decades. She only had the sofa free, there was a dumpster full that was the size of a semi trailer. Rat poo everywhere. So many things ruined, but a lot was salvageable. It was really sad, she was over 100 years old. If we had known maybe we could’ve gotten her some assistance. Please remember to always bring a flashlight and have newspaper and bubble wrap in your car. You totally scored with the D. Blumchen, they are all handmade and very expensive. Old World Christmas, the older star caps made in Germany are wonderful. Now they are made in China and not as nice.
It's a shame when a situation does get to that of which you spoke of. Many hoarders actually keep some amazing things, but never can enjoy them because of the actual hoarding.
I love those type of estate sales, they are few and far between here and generally run by family. We hit one this summer on the last day and last hour, no one was there. I’m still kicking myself for not buying more. But we bought 7 or 8 good sized boxes full of stuff. Not really knowing exactly what was in them. The woman charged us $23. When I started going through it I was amazed by some of the stuff. First thing I listed was a fold out paper haunted house for auction and it sold for $35. There was quite a few Halloween die cuts and lots of 50s era Christmas made in Japan pipe cleaner and cotton spun ornaments. We still haven’t fully gone through everything. Lots of stuff we have found I can’t even find comps so I just list where I feel it’s value is. Pretty much it’s all sold. Like I said we were there as they were closing up... I can’t imagine what they would have had the first day. The woman told me the first stuff they sold was her moms Avon collection?????? I was like what??? And they left this stuff😂😂😂.
Sounds like you have some great items there! You can never go wrong with any vintage Halloween or cotton spun ornaments! Avon went first, really?? I know that vintage Avon in regards to beauty products like hair brushes, certain makeup, etc. can be collectable as people fall in love with a certain style brush or lipstick... I just can't understand how the cologne bottles or steins still are viewed by some as highly collectable. You can't give that stuff away for free in my area! Of course, to each his/her own, as I'm sure many think what I like is silly. I'm sure the rest of the boxes that you have yet to look through will hold even more goodies!
Paper and Moose I kinda wish I would have seen the Avon, because I’ve never found desirable Avon. You could be right it may have been makeup type products.
I would probably still be there, looking through every little box! Saw lots of neat things that people were ignoring! Love those kind of sales, but they are rare around here.
3:25 just behind the column, that's the original My Little Pony nursery playset! It's not worth much without the accessories though. This is my kind of sale! I definitely don't mind digging. You found some cool stuff, can't wait to see part 2!
@@PaperandMoose That's awesome! I never had it but a friend of mine did, and I just loved the accessories! The little duck on a string, etc. They were so detailed and well made .
Why are people so negative about clowns? I know Stephen King had a scary book/movie, but we were raised on happy circus clowns like the one you found. I have friends who dress up as clowns to entertain children in hospitals - they took a course - and the kids love them. I loved going with you to that sale. You're going to get more packages from me - it reinforced my determination not to leave my kids a mess like that.
I have no problems with clowns, but some people out there just are either afraid or spooked by them. I like to joke when I do find one, as I know some of my viewers have a thing against them. All in jest though. I am pro-Clown!
Thanks Renee, when Christmas ornaments are old or made to look old, I find myself wanting them anyway! Now let's find a " winking Santa Ornament next" lol...xo..thx
Paper and Moose Ever since you showed your Winking Santa,I wanted one! I found a winking snowman that's it. Sure I could go on line, but it's more fun hunting for one. Its getting harder and harder because the season is coming to a end! There's a store here called " Piece Makers" you can find anything there! It looks like a old two story Barn House. It's one of those, one of a kind, thrift stores.
I didn't see any bugs, or even cobwebs. Only one room in the basement had the typical basement feel and that was used to store more "unwanted" things, I gathered. Like you said, it was fun though!
Those McDonalds toys are common and I have a few somewhere and I looked them up and couldn't find any but I went to a toy show and a guy had some and was asking $2 but this was in '17 so I doubt they went up but you never know? I think they are late 80s if I can find mine I'll let you know for sure
Never could I go to an estate sale like that. My anxiety would hit the roof 🥺. I was feeling stress watching. How did you do this? They should of paid everyone for help clean up the stuff by taking it out of there 😅😂. Totally understand how hard to think it would be. In all, this was still a great video to see.
The upstairs was just as crowded and full! I do wonder what the estate sale company did with the leftovers, as I imagine there still had to be a lot more items left after the ending of the sale.
She's holding a Tessie Messi it was a Victorian vase for flowers they made them back in the day and they would hang them on their doors for someone who was struck on them or like them to come by and put flowers then like for courtship I guess I think the Halloween things are so adorable and the Victorian stuff as well and that baby rattle sets on a high chair tray or Walker love the haircut I think it is so pretty and I love how you fix it
@@PaperandMoose yes that would be a cute idea honestly never thought about it I think I will put me one on my door fresh flowers in the summer and spring seems so nice I love to put them on my table so why not my door right thanks for the ideal
I would be in hog heaven. I thrive on the hunt like that. The last one I went to was 10X as filthy. I was full on crawling over raccoon poop and hit my head on a nail in the attic filthy... and I loved every minute of it. LOL! I pulled about $1500 of stuff out of that house and only paid $100.
That sale sounds like quite the adventure! You are right, at least with this sale, the worst thing we dealt with was dust and some mold in another area of the basement.
Love the ornaments! I was going to tell you what I found on them but someone else beat me to it. Lol! That estate sale was crazy! Crazy cool! That would've been so much fun and I would've left soaking wet with sweat, no matter the temperature. Lol! Gross, I know. I can't wait for part two! Oh, I forgot. I saw some Pefkis icons going for really good money. Nice pick!
23:33 The cone filled with candy is called "Schultüte" (school cone) in German. It's being given to 1st graders at their first day of school. Interesting, to see this made into a Christmas ornament. Also the Blumchen ornaments are very interesting. They kind of look like old German ornaments, but they are a bit too overdone for being the real deal. But mixing Victorian style with old German style is actually very interesting to look at. Blumchen actually comes from the German word "Blümchen", meaning little flower. My grandparents used to have very old hand/mouthblown glass ornaments. I especially liked the birds with feathery tales. Those ornaments unfortunately got lost. Nowadays you pay like 20 to 30 Euros for the old ornaments on the eBay. It's crazy.
I love the wood wall behind you.
I liked the little boy and girl, as I like vintage items. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day...
I really enjoy the find's, especially when I remember my first Christmas tree being silver with the rotating color wheel. It brings me back to such wonderful memories of my Mom and how she would decorate our home for Christmas. She passed away last November from Cancer. Hold tight to those wonderful memories!
Wow ! I would of loved to dig through all those treasures ! Loved the witch & the pumpkin....The clown, not so much....lol....
I want,I want, and I need the witch. You keep the pumpkin.I really love the witch.I have several.I love watching your channel.
just listening to your voice......we can tell if you are happy, frustrated, irked, having fun, etc. Keep it up
Now this would be anxiety producing for me. That much stuff is overwhelming! I loved your reaction to the witch and pumpkin . You get so much joy out of your treasures. It’s lovely to see 😀

Great video love the older toys
😍 that owl lamp! With a new shade though.
It's funny, I don't even remember seeing the lamp when I was at the sale. Then when editing the video, I noticed that (and the U2 Poster behind it) and wondered why I didn't pick it up?!
@@PaperandMoose there just was so much there, I can understand
Thank you for not comparing what you paid and what it’s worth. 💝
redd4poetry I think when she says what she paid and what it is worth it helps people to know what they should pay for a similar item.
I always enjoy hearing it.
Oh Rene, the spun cotton children sledding are so cute.
The "chocolate" bunnies and egg look so real! Great Easter decor! Lots of great items!
Anxious for 3rd day vid. Whoo- Hoo!😅
Liked all of the finds in the box, especially the boy and girl on the sleds and their dog. Very cute, very well made.
I’ve been picking a hoarder house for the last month. It is quite the experience. Glad you were able to save a few treasures.
I liked what you said about the spider needing a home too concerning the one that was in that clown cup. I could have spent all day at that sale!
The pumpkin guy and the witch are adorable. They are very unique.
I will be heading to an Estate Sale tomorrow...They even have ceramic Christmas trees and vintage Christmas decor listed...I hope get my hands at least one of the trees. But I love the thrill of digging and see what treasure I can find, its my kind of sale. :)
Looks like you have a small fortune in the Blumchen items! They are amazing!
I have a set of videos from PBS...on hoarders, boy, this sale looks neat compared to the featured homes! When you go through things...don't mess the place up...LOL. That's the kind of sale my buddies and I "thirst" for!!

Added note: stenographer could be correct. A stenographer usually took shorthand, by means of dictation from perhaps an attorney, needing to send a letter. A really good secretary always needed good shorthand and typing skills. A stenographer was a position in the workplace. It could simply mean record keeping. That stenographer obviously had other skills, too.
Renee, I love your enthusiasm when you present your finds. Always love your videos.
I love those kids of sales. That pumpkin carving a pumpkin is very cool.
Love the Christmas decorations reminds me of when I was young love them
to answer your opening question... YES I LOVE THOSE KINDS OF ESTATE SALES!!!! lol
So many of the toys and stuffed animals you went thru my 40 year old daughter had as a baby and small child.
Another really fun treasure hunting video. Thanks for taking us along!
I’m so jealous. That’s my favorite kind of sale!
That fisher price teddy bear with bib on it is collectible. It’s from 80’s.

You know what Linda... I can't recall ever seeing a winking Santa ornament! I wonder if they exist??
Paper and Moose Ever since you showed your Winking Santa,I wanted one! I found a winking snowman that's it. Sure I could go on line, but it's more fun hunting for one. Its getting harder and harder because the season is coming to a end! There's a store here called " Piece Makers" you can find anything there! It looks like a old two story Barn House. It's one of those, one of a kind, thrift stores.
I would love to dig there, my only fear in a hoarding house would be bugs and rodents. Fun video and stuff though.
I didn't see any bugs, or even cobwebs. Only one room in the basement had the typical basement feel and that was used to store more "unwanted" things, I gathered. Like you said, it was fun though!
This is one of those sales where you get pissed off knowing you cant buy it all. Perfect flea market stuff and ebay stuff.
Paper and Moose , Renee you should stop by there on trash day
Once upon a time,. Everything was loved by someone,. Now it's just thowed. Ever where 🤐! So sad.
WOW!!! 😳😳😳 I'd love this!!!
The Mary and Child are worth a lot in some instances. I had one that opens and it is selling for $100 on eBay so check them out;)
gran canal felicidades saludos (great channel congratulations greetings)
She's holding a Tessie Messi it was a Victorian vase for flowers they made them back in the day and they would hang them on their doors for someone who was struck on them or like them to come by and put flowers then like for courtship I guess I think the Halloween things are so adorable and the Victorian stuff as well and that baby rattle sets on a high chair tray or Walker love the haircut I think it is so pretty and I love how you fix it
Thank you Linda! Wouldn't it be nice if we started up with the vases on our doors again? Who wouldn't like to come home to some fresh flowers?
Nice pick!
The Pefkis piece will most likely cover the cost for all of my purchases that day :0) It was too pretty to pass up!
Too overwhelming for me. You’re a brave one, Renee!
I looked up the D Bluchem company. The paper mache ornaments run for $110.00!!
WOW!!! That's alot of stuff, I mean treasure😉! Lol
The Wood spirits (or dwarves) each one is created differently and have a coin either in the pocket or hidden among the leaves. Tom Clark's creations.
Please tell me about the wall behind you. Is that barn wood? Old house flooring? How was it done? Sealers, varnishes, sanding? It is 😎
Hand carved wooden Icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Blessed
It's crazy.
I hesitate a little shipping the antique ornaments... lots and lots of bubble wrap and careful packaging!
Great hall!
AWESOME
