In tank mode the two front side halves flops as you have it mis-transformed. The flaps are supposed to fold back in, thus allowing the front side halves to tab in securely on the two short pegs on Ditka's chest, in Jet mode turret retracts so that the main landing gear can come and tab together, main intake(s) collapses in Jet mode covering that peg hole too.
i believe you can tuck those treads further into the back. make him look slimmer. otherwise pretty good. tank mode is the only thing i like. DX9 is better.
This is a pretty cool version of Blitzwing. All the modes look just fantastic and it has a very basic but fun transformation. It's just whack that the figure is kinda loose.
I do love my Citizen Stack, but I'll give this one a wide berth. The tolerances seem to be a real issue. So odd that Blitzwing seems to get more than the average of sub-par toys...
"Ditka"? What's Astrotrain's name going to be-McMahon? Why not "Payton" for Springer? Is Broadside "Perry"? That said, G1 accurate, right down to the transformation. Moreso because the tail fins on mine didn't stay up well either.
i really have to say i cant really see the transformation for the upper body part, either from the tank into the jet mode and from the jet into the robot mode. Its way off camera
Yeah, I feel the same way. Sometimes you just got to look after yourself first and come to it later fresh and renewed instead of pushing through with something your are not feeling satisfied with. Better luck with the next one, we'll still be here.

I really like the way this guy looks in robot mode, he seems to be the closest to the G1 cartoon version in that respect that I have seen thus far. Shame about the looseness issues, hopefully it is not terribly widespread.Really, really wish Takara would just come out with a Masterpiece Blitzwing already...
DX9's MP Blitzwing crushes the KFC release. I honestly do not know why DX9 doesnt get more love on Blitzwing to me hands down DX9's best release ......I do not collect the line anymore. I was happy with KFC's junkions but this release is a MAJOR step back. The QC / tolerance and ratchets used here is UNACCEPTABLE. I would have been pissed if I ordered DITKA.
Unfortunately the retail release has no real improvement to most of those fitment issues, or those extremely loose joints. Honestly, I don't think the design could've resulted in a solid figure to begin with; the size, weight distribution, and proportions were going to make this an incredibly difficult figure to engineer in the first place. I'm guessing they rushed this to release primarily to get it out in front of Fans Toys. It is no where near the quality found in their Opticlones release which I loved.
For screen accuracy you might be right... But, I love what DX-9 was able to do with Gewalt. Sure they take some liberties with the figure's design but his jet mode is incredibly solid, and his bot mode is equally as solid. For me, I don't mind if the figure doesn't match the cartoon exactly. I actually prefer a more modernized update to the G1 designs and with that said, he fits in perfectly into my collection.
It's 2017 and $150 figures that are hardly poseable and have other quality and design issues are still being sold? You have got to be kidding me. Send the stuff back where it came from.

The cannon retracts into the turret so you don't have to split the front landing gear
Huh. I tried that but I can't seem to get the turret to collapse on this one.
Personally realism doesn't always translate well with cartoon accuracy. DX9 Gewalt has a more cartoonish look.

the top tracks rotate behind the arms, the top pieces by his head are supposed to be down flat in robot mode, and the tank turret collapses.

ATP designs will have new knee spacers to fix ditka's very loose knees.
I saw that, looking forward to seeing how well they work.
