I remember coming home with MM3. The slide move was too new at that time. So ofc the 1st stage I picked had a part that required you to slide... I had to legit look in the manual to find out about that!! ~1990

It's a leftover from when this stage was meant to look more space-like (the ground didn't look like some kind of transparent ice but more like the surface of the Moon).
I see a lot of people claiming that this game's intro music is the best of the series. They would be wrong, of course. Its Megaman 2's music that tops all. This intro was fine, at best. But its no Megaman 2. Lets be reasonable.
