It still bothers me how they're using "growing population" as an argument for everything when most of the concrete examples they give are in countries with pretty much stagnated population numbers
They don't care about that. It's easier to implement changes, positive or negative ones, in a population that is already being totally controlled.
No one adresses the obvious elephant in the room when it comes to pollution or energy consumption because the populations in those countries (China, India, Africa) are less controlable and less subjected to globalism and all its quirks and misguided policies.
"You'll own nothing and you'll be happy". Klaus Schwab, the Great Reset.
Most of the developing world still have very young populations so I think clean water and food supplies are a “growing population” issue.
Well to me the only first world Nations that actually have growing population are Canada the United States Mexico. Does not the only one
@@capnsteele3365 Nigeria is the fastest growing
The countries where populations have stabilized or are even declining tend to be the wealthiest countries with the highest consumption (read: waste) rates. The countries that rapidly rise in population are countries that are developing rapidly, seeing severe declines in death rates while children born per woman are still relatively high. These countries will soon see wealthier inhabitants on average and will join the consumption (read: waste) practices, unless the entire world massively shifts gears to circular economies instead of the current 'infinite-growth' (read: infinite-waste) ones.
So there's definitely a good argument in stating growing world population as a driving force for today's and tomorrow's problems. Sustainability is the only answer.
People from 2030: Haha we did nothing like this!
Yeah, most of this won't happen.
Why waste time and effort doing this when you can just bribe some politicians?
I feel like this pandemic will urge people to start living and building and shit like this tho obviously it wont be consistent across the board

It's incredible to see how much the construction industry will evolve by 2030.
*i know its a little off topic but*
SURE , SKIP THIS AD , JUST LIKE YOU SKIPPED OUT ON BUYING AMAZON STOCK AND GOOGLE AND APPLE
I am not sure that evolve is the right word. The industry may need to devolve a tad. Energy efficient buildings seem to spread disease because of poor air quality. Increased fresh air ventilation or increasing air filtration quality will increase energy use and frequency of filter replacements. The fixation on energy efficiency will have to a back seat to air quality.
@@Aviraj 🤣😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣 mad my day hahahaha

Me imagining construction in the post apocalyptic future where sod houses and underground concrete shelters will make a comeback
This man releasing walkthroughs like 10 years early, way ahead of the game
I just want to tell you something. It's true that in France all new buildings begin to be made of at least 50% of wood or other renewable ressources however it's just awful. For example a new school where i went and is just 3 years old is already in a miserable state, the building looks old /dirty and some wood piece are already starting to rot and i dont think it's good for a sustainable development. Because all these buildings will need to be refurbished or even destroyed in 10 or 15 years.
@Neel Javia source? They said they visited in person lol. The source is them. Do you want a peer reviewed paper of the long term observations on 2 year old structures??
@@will0ughby lmao
@@will0ughby yes, not an anecdote.
@Neel Javia welcome to the comment section of a UA-cam video
@Neel Javia common sense would generally imply that organic building materials might degrade far quicker than their non-organic counterparts... to be completely fair, it doesn’t take a genius to make a practical observation
For 0 waste they need to stop using composite materials. Just use materials that can actually be recycled, like pure timber, steel & glass.
Amen!
or, we need to get really good at atomizing composites down to its base materials, and i use the word atomizing without exaggeration because that's what you need for some of that stuff.
@@profwaldone Haha launching it into space would probably be easier!
I don't know if abandoning composite materials is the way forward but actually having a plan and method of recycling any composite materials used during construction seems like the way to go.
I’d like to see laws made that require material makers at least partially fund recycling of the materials they create. Say 1% of gross receipts taken to pay for cleaning up materials they create and sell. You think they’ll leave money on the table and fold up? No way! Watch how quickly the private market comes up with materials that are easy and cheap to recycle. The only reason they haven’t done it yet is because they don’t have to.

Yess, another B1M video! Excellent and interesting concepts becoming reality
2:44 - 1. Sustainability and recycling
5:33 - 2. Efficiency, which involves automation (AI, drones, robots, 3D printing, emphasis on digital tools)
I’m all for this reduction in greenhouse grasses, but how do they plan to replace these jobs? The banning of this stuff will remove millions and millions of jobs, in producing the materials, transporting them, and just the people who are building the structures
Going from concrete to wood means oh well you’ll lose the concrete jobs but then you gain it back in wood working jobs. And about the construction jobs, as he said one big reason for automation is the lack of skilled labour
@@turtle-balloon would you go into a field when they are telling you that they are trying to do away with it in under 10 years?

Great content!
I'm excited for a bunch of these new buildings to spot up!
Seeing the developments around the world makes me want to get into construction or architecture in some way, if for no other reason than to breathe life into my home. The Midwest has some fairly stagnant areas right now in terms of renovating or building anew in our cities, and a lot of new developments I'm aware of don't have the same kind of character found in Finland's timber district or other places like it.
Awesome video B1M, looking forward to future skyscrapers and architecture !!!
Thank you so much!!! There's a lot to do by 2030..!
Zero energy buildings, ICF's, 3D printed houses, land reclamation, building underground, and geothermal heating too for cities. Urban regeneration too especially in the north. More population planning and population impact measures.🎯👌🌄🌅
I find automation in construction extremely fascinating especially 3-D printed concrete and other materials. I’ve been traveling too many projects where this technology is being implemented and it’s incredible to see how quickly the space is growing and improving even in a very short time frame. I’ve documented my travels to the projects on my UA-cam channel and also started a podcast “automated construction podcast” where I’ve interviewed founders of the start up companies aiming to revolutionize the construction industry. I am sure many of them will be successful. It’s been so fascinating learning about these companies that seem to be on an unstoppable path to change the world.
The job loss would be very negative to society tbh

10 mins+ is a good length of time for B1M vids and better than 6 mins, but they're so enjoyable longer is always better. :)
‘These challenges absolutely have to be solved in the next 10 years’. Care to give some actual data that proves it has to be 10 years? Otherwise it’s a meaningless platitude. I’ll give a prediction. In 10 years we will have more electric cars on the road, maybe 20% of the stock, and oil nation states will be struggling due to lower prices. Everything else, including the construction materials we use, will essentially be the same as it is now. Government set targets won’t be hard targets and will be filled with waivers, extensions, and modifications. 10 years goes by very fast and the trend changes predicted by B1M move much slower than a period of 10 years.
That's somewhat realistic but the drift in materials is a high possibility but it won't be 100% maybe around 40% of new buildings Will be made out of sustainable resources
10 years is the timeframe set out by the same people who organized Event 201, the pandemic simulation which perfectly predicted what is happening today. These people have a plan, and they are sticking to it. It's called Agenda 2030.

How is building from wood in France more sustainable?
Such a great channel
The year is 2030 "You'll own nothing and you'll be happy"
Hemp is a great natural fibre that's extremely strong, renewable and fast growing.
Nice video.
what is the vertical build limit of wood tough? Building efficiency isn't just about the building itself, but also in how it's used. if you save a lot of CO2 in building loads of 5/6 floor flats on the edge of town, but then all the inhabitants need to spend hours and hours in traffic jams to get anywhere you aren't helping anyone. we need to be able to build 150+ floors on the regular soon, just simply to keep peoples action radius to below the need for a vehicle.
Awesome video
