Jimmy Valiant, “The Boogie Woogie Man”, I believe, was Hulk Hogan BEFORE Hulk Hogan … Valiant’s feuds with Kabuki and Paul Jones and the Assassins-LEGENDARY!!
What a misleading title... there was nothing even close to a brawl by Memphis standards... but there was awesome buildup with outstanding mike work by the King and Boogie Man. Both men could talk circles almost anyone. Both men had the crown in the palm of their hands.
Wow the days of when people didn’t take things so serious. The whole fag comments were classic. If he were to say that today oh shit I couldn’t even begin to tell you what would happen from the rainbow coalition. I grew up watching these guys wrestle in Louisville Kentucky at the Gardens. This wrestling had all the big stars start here. Here’s a few of the best who started here, stone cold, undertaker, rock, lawler, flair came through, hogan came through, godfather, von erichs came through, Jeff Jarrett, sting and warrior as the blade runners. I can keep going but you get the hint. This was the wrestling to watch growing up and I still love watching the classics when I can.
They all sucked , and didn't draw dime . Flair came one time against Koko ware . The Von Erich's came after the promotion was going down . The last sellout at Mid-South coliseum was Lawler in a tag match , that was 85 according to Dutch Mantell's book .Stone cold wasn't stone cold there . Neither were the Bladerunners . Sucked so bad they were out after 6 months .
@@christopherstuart607 because it's not universally offensive, even to some gay people.. ..and if you think it's 'punching down' then you think they're beneath other people.. which is worse than saying 'fag'
Boogie-Woogie, here trying to insert himself into that upcoming match, was way out of line. At first, he's friendly enough, but when he can't get his way, then he starts to turn Heel, first on The Superstar Bill Dundee, then, as things escalate, he turns on Jerry The King Lawler! What gives with him, & why would he want to interfere in something that he had no personal stake in, anyway? He's talking about Jerry Lawler being jealous, but Boogie Woogie's the one that has the huge case of sour grapes!

Gosh could you imagine saying that today
The Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant was one of my favorite wrestlers. I remember his feud with Exotic Adrian Street.
Boogie Woogie Man....I loved him n mid-atlantic wrestling...when he came out to Boy From New York City: Manhatten Transfer..

The people deserve a six man tag, daddy! C'mon kingfish!
Lawler was a lot more fun as a heel.
I think he was as much fun as both the " bad guy " as well as the " good guy " , and he was a good guy here.
After Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee disrespect Jimmy Valiant he has choice but confront those evil and jealous lesser talents.

Why should it be okay to use offensive language at an entire community of people?

Jerry Lawler looks like a kid!

The king is going off again.
You want to know how much times have changed? Lawler called Valentine a " fagget " . Imagine if it had been today..
Got a ton of respect for Lawler but up North i dont see much of the appeal .... Way better rassler than Handsome Jimmy but both entertaining.
I miss the young Jerry Lawler

No way this promo could happen in 2023 😊
No way it SHOULD happen in 2023. No racist slurs or gay slurs should be okay with anyone.
