- Malibu is a beach city in the Santa Monica Mountain region of Los Angeles County, California. This beach city is tucked away about 30 miles west of Downtown Los Angeles. It is known for its strip of beaches stretching 21 miles along the Pacific Ocean and its celebrity homes. I was recently in Malibu for a quick family visit. I had certain things on my bucket list during my 48 hours in town. Topping my list was the Getty Villa, taking long walks on the beaches and eating my weight in seafood. I had no idea MASH was filmed in Malibu. I did know that iconic final scene from the original Planet of the Apes was filmed there. I love the seating in the sand looking out over the water at Paradise Cove. Looks like a place with a very cool vibe and great sunset views. Malibu is beautiful. Watching ads. When you hear Malibu, you think of fancy homes and beautiful beaches and this video showed us just that! What an amazing area of California. I couldn't imagine losing my backyard to beach erosion! Especially how expensive that backyard probably was. You did a lot in just 48 hours! It's always nice to have sister time too! When I was in Malibu, I went to the place where Jim Rockford's trailer was placed. I love that show, and Malibu is great too. And seafood and beaches were on my bucket list too. 🌊🌊
