- The 2022 BMW M5 CS ($170,800 CAD as specced, ~$143,000 USD) is an absolute rocket in a straight line. But today it has some serious competition - the Porsche 911 Turbo ($198,400 CAD, $174,300 USD). We already know that BMW fib about their horsepower numbers, but will the undisclosed power in the M5 CS be enough to overcome the lighter 911 Turbo? First, they brought the most powerful M car of all time and put a pro driver in it. Then removed 70 HP from the TurboS, and then took it's LC out of the equation. As if any of it was going to make any difference.
And that m5cs is bonkers fast, but I think they just needed to be reminded who the opponent was

I love the 911 for how solid and consistent it is every single race, but if I still had the option to choose, the BMW would be my choice. 4 doors, easy to modify comparing to the 911, better sitting position for driving, and it's just a phenomenal daily drive.
I guarantee porsche will feel a lot better to drive, handling wise it's untouchable but daily drive and family car m5 for sure

Seating position in the 911 is better in my opinion. It sits lower and is a sportscar based car. But thats just my opinion.
I can tell though that the M5 is NOT easy to tune. The 911 is probably better. The engine and enginebay of the M5 is complicated and packed. Hard to take apart and build again.

@@latinace1981 when have you ever known a BMW M5 to outrun a Porsche Turbo of similar year? And this is probably the best performing stock m5 of all time. It's more than 300 lbs. Porsche turbos are around 3600 and the m5 cs is over 4100. The weight is worse than the hp is an advantage.

@@henrybrar That's a interesting take. I would like to know what year 5 and what year accord. I've owned 2 accord's and 2 5 series and for the same year range it was pretty close to the same size. But it's a totally different class of car.

@@Jsc8zaq my money is on CT5-V Blackwing (not the CT4-V BW of course) against both of these German cars, it will beat the M5 CS for sure, and be very close with the 911 Turbo (huge weight advantage for the 911 T here..) we shall see soon here I'm sure..! :-)

@@Jsc8zaq yeah, the hellcat would have no chance against the CT5-V BW, the hellcat is almost 500 lb heavier, and is much less aerodynamic too here, plus this Cadillac has a much better launch control system (same system that the C8 uses), so even with 129hp more power for the hellcat, I still believe it has no chance here..! :-)
