    YardBrah, have you thought about doing natural edges for your beds instead of the stones? In my opinion, it looks way better and there wouldn't be as much trimming to do there.

    A word of caution….
    Lapping has to be done by rotating the blades in the OPPOSITE direction of normal travel. So don’t run the tool with the power head, find another way to reverse the tool.

    Could you do this to a hedge trimmer on a regular basis to keep its blades sharp or does the rotary scissors work in a different way?

      @@YardBrah would be interested to find out, because if you can do this method, it would be so easy to do this every other time I use the hedgers before storing, would ensure super crispy cuts if it works!

      Lapping only works in the opposite direction of normal travel. So because the hedger goes back and forth, it would sharpen on one stroke and dull on the other.

    How do you grease them every 10 hours? What product and how do you apply?

      I use the Maruyama grease that’s made for it and you just open up the 3 screws on the scissor and squeeze the grease in 😊🤙🏾

      Rotary scissors come with adapters to fit pretty much every trimmer just take off the old head trimmer or edger and put the rotary scissor on 😊🙏🏾👊🏾🤙🏾

      Way worth it if your cutting low and need to match edges … for edging though you can find a cheap stick edger you know 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾

    By doing that, you are increasing the clearance between the two blades. That increased clearance ruins cutting performance. I tried lapping the blades just like how you demonstrated a long time ago. Ruined an expensive set of blades. Now I grind each edge individually.

      did you open it up and tighten during maintenance? There's your issue buddy cause I've had these for a year lapping and taking apart for maintenance and properly tightening down the blades... 80 grit isn't going to cause a gap in between the blades 😂😂😂 are you kidding me! 😂😂😂obviously seeing the results speak for themselves... it works you just don't know how to maintain your tool 😂😂😂
