Not distrust, but a recognition that the value of the dollar will continue to go down, and probably even accelerate downward. Bitcoin is strong in itself, yes, but also because the dollar is weak

The *reason* that money exists is specifically because it allows to not have to trust. The hardness of the money means I'm not trusting that there's some money printer out there that will debase the effort I took to earn this money.
I do not think Bitcoin - the hardest money ever - requires trust.
Fiat, on the other hand, requires that I trust that those in charge not to debase the effort that I put into earning the money I have.
To me trusting money is exactly what I don't want to do. And that's why I'm such a fan of Bitcoin.
I think the word is verify, don't trust.

"Trustless" and "Distrust" are two very different concepts, just like the difference between "can't be evil" and "don't be evil".
And the "can't be evil" idea is obviously so far from the world this WEF guy lives in that it's probably almost unfathomable to grasp for him, hopefully one day he will understand. Hopefully for him, because for us nothing will really change, as we are already living in a fantastic "financial future" powered by Bitcoin ... today!
