If you look at the origins history of all the modern European nations, they were all create by Germanic kings and/or tribes, which in turn originally came from Scandinavia and northern Germany. The exception would be some countries in the Balkan peninsula, Poland and maybe Ireland and Scotland, although Ireland and Scotland have a lot of Scandinavien blood in them from the vikings and both of their capitals were founded by the vikings.
The romans became too rich, desunified, multicultural, soft, greedy and corrupt, and, thus, were rightfully replaced germanic elites and kings in all Europe. According to the roman historian tacitus: the germanic tribes, in comparison to the romans, despite being "barbarians" and "unpolite", were nobles in caracter, warlike people and unwilling to mix themselves with alien races.
@@magnusheister8466 what was may come again...i live in south of brazil and i have 30 years old, during my lifetime i've have the luck to have contact with two world war 2 veterans from the axis forces (both are dead due to advanced age), one was my personal teacher of classical art when i was a kid and the other one was my neighbour. Both were extraordinary man, extraordinary fathers, heroic dudes, extraordinary husbands and examples to follow, never cheated against their wifes and always take care of them. The thing that shocked me the most was the tremendous amount of culture, literature and history knowledge that both dudes had.

@@pedroh2671 Yes, Tacitus wrote that the Germani adhered to the ancient virtues that the old romans once also adhered to but now no longer follows.
