This is one bike that will make a lot of people happy for its lively performance and the comfort of doing long rides. But this is not an adventure bike! This is a sports touring motorcycle.
I have the Tracer 9 gt, XSR900, and MT-09. I love the engine. The Tracer is so comfortable with the electronic suspension. I tend to get on it every time I go to the garage for a ride.
As someone who dreams of upgrading to a Tiger some day (money being no object) this bike now has my attention. All that technology is straight out of luxury cars, I'm sure it would make a world of difference om a long tour. You know, the K2K or sea-to-summit rides? Did you get the chance to ride this?
This is a great bike to keep on the radar. That said, the Tiger, especially the bigger ones are Adv bikes. However, this one is more of a sports tourer. This motorcycle cannot do much of Adventure. This is basically an MT09 with a big windscreen and loads of tech thrown in. And yes, the GT version comes with bags. This is the GT version. The GT+ version does not look like that it will make it to the US.
The amount of tech you have on this bike with radar and whatnot makes it feel like a fighter jet. Perhaps future models will have an eject option in case of a collision.
Thanks mate! Yes Yamaha has been producing the MT-09 with a triple since 2014. I own one. They did a complete engine renewal last year which is in this Tracer 9.
Do you know if the seat was set at low height or high. If it's low already I think the bike would be too tall from me. I think my inseam is less than you. I have a MT09 SP and did take a Tracer during a service and really liked it. More stable and a nice screen than the 09 but still with the great frame, engine and quick shifter.

Absolutely spot on. That said, I still am partial towards the MT! Lol.
The tech in these bikes is amazing. Its like riding a computer.
Lol yes. That is kinda true. It is like riding a computer! Very fast!!!
@@KrishnenduKes fast enough to run preimere pro without crashing? Lol
@@AdventuresThings Lol! Let's not even go there! Premiere pro not crashing... that is a much awaited dream.
@@KrishnenduKes haha, its really the only downfall.

I looked at this bike. I was on my toes and I'm 5'9. I was flat footed on left foot if i leaned maybe an inch to the left. Wasnt bad.
Did you buy it?
@Krishnendu Kes they have a 2022 at a local dealer for $12,999. I was going to wait until November to buy it. You think I can get it for 10k?
@@BlackBirdieGolf New one? Not going to happen.
@Krishnendu Kes but it's a 2022, and in nov/Dec, the 2024s should be out. They already dropped the price by 2k. The normal price is $14,999.

In a country like India, they would be ejecting all the time.

Oops, I had no clue Yamaha had a triple cylinder bike as well. I thought it was only Triumph. My bad. Great review as always.

I think standard height is high. I can check today if we still have the bike.
