SET LIST 1:07 Up To Now (Kurt Rosenwinkel/Omar Hakim) 8:20 Humor And Nudity (Ozmosys) 18:15 Sensual (Rachel Z/Solomon Dorsey) 27:31 Sweet Tooth (Victor Bailey) BAND keys - Rachel Z Hakim d - Omar Hakim b - Thaddeus Tribbett g - Kurt Rosenwinkel
Bad Mothers. Kurt always comes up with the greatest chord changes and perfect melodies over them....listen to the harmony of this first, Funky, Crossover-ish tune...freaking great and as usual prefect note choices on the solo, always with great phrasing.
I saw Ozymosys at the EFG London Jazz Festival back in November 2019 and i knew with the combined pedigree of Rachel Z and Omar Hakim it was going to be epic but i wasn't sure how Kurt Rosenwinkel would match up with these guys but at the end, he completely blew me away with his guitar playing and absolutely stole the show. One of the best shows i have ever been to and what an amazing collection of talent.
I agree this is the first time I've seen Kurt Rosenwinkel happy and smiling on stage.. he used to always look like the actor Gary Oldman to me... especially with his guarded defensive expression on his face... even his playing sounds happy as he usually sounds dark and haunted in a beautifully strange way !!! Band is nice.. great musicians
@@stevenbeechey Yeah I thought about that too, I just feel like there are other straps he probably could have chosen, if he wasn't into them he probably wouldn't have used it. He also said him self that this group is more of a "party" than other stuff he's done, so if there's ever a moment to admit it would be now, haha

He's got dead bolts on his strap! i didn't know he was into the dead, either that or it's not his?
Jimmy Tuesday I hope Kurt is a dead fan but perhaps just that they make them dangelicoguitars.com/store/dangelico-x-grateful-dead-guitar-straps/
