Yeah, I think your right on about the tube pre-amp, with a solid state amp for live. I came to the same conclusion after years of trying all the different types of amps. I use tube amps at home, but solid state for live w/ tube pre-amps. I like modelers for at home jamming... just for fun at times as well. Good topic.
@@DustinAlford Yeah, I got a Marshall JMP 1 , and a H.K. Tubeman for my pre-amps, depends on how I'm feeling... and a crate solid state stereo rack, w/ a Boss GX-700 rack effects... Malmsteen Strat...I like old school stuff...👍 Even have a Rivera Tube amp M-60 for the sickening blues tones! haha
