I've put together a Blueprint across 4 episodes explaining my process which allowed me to rank 1st on the U.K Bar Exam. In this episode (Part 1), I will look at the Centralised Exams which include Civil & Criminal Litigation and Professional Ethics. The remaining Parts will cover:
Part 2 - Advocacy Exams (Submission, Examination-in-chief & Cross-examination)

To celebrate the launch of my new WEBSITE (tazaldeek.com) I've put together a Bar Course Pack with all the materials I used to prepare for the exam.
Today I want to talk to you about how to excel in the UK BAR TRAINING COURSE and secure the top spot. Join me as I share my personal journey of ranking first in this notoriously difficult exam. In this four-part video series, I will guide you through my step-by-step blueprint for success.
I'll begin by discussing the challenges of the Bar exam, which consists of 12 separate exams and requires absorbing an immense amount of information within eight months. But fear not, I have developed a proven strategy that helped me achieve outstanding results, and I'm excited to share it with you.
I will unveil the ten golden rules that I followed to succeed in the Bar Training Course. These rules include pacing yourself, focusing on your own progress, understanding the big picture, leveraging your strengths, and making the most of available resources.
I will also emphasize the importance of attending seminars, practicing extensively, and maintaining a balanced mental well-being throughout the challenging eight-month journey. It's not just about studying hard; it's about taking care of yourself too.

Really valuable content, looking forward to the next of this 4 part episode!
Waiting for part 2! This video is very helpful and definitely following all the tips for my preparation.
Thank you Taz, this has been really helpful especially given there isn't that much out there regarding revision strategies for the bar course!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm starting bar school this year and you have been helpful.
Many thanks Taz, I am sure that your advices will be very helpful for me. Thanks again
Starting my Bar Vocational Course this September from City, University of London. Your videos are very helpful. Will surely be using the notes you've provided. Thanks, Taz! :)
Great content mate, keep it up 🦾
Thank you so much for this, I've passed everything except the bsb centralised assessments which I found really heavy and hard to conceptualize. Your video highlighted some real good tips! Cant wait for the next
How did your exams go in the end?
Great video and tips!
Sitting civil 1 tomorrow and paper 2 Friday. Although I don't have time to employ your revision advice, it is fairly similar to what I've been doing - the elimination method for questions is a great tip though and much appreciated!
Hope it went well
Gave me second attempt at Civ and Lit this august (awaiting results), cleared rest of my modules. Hopefully won’t need to sit the third attempt, but just in case I’ve started preparing and using your course pack. Thank you very much

@@claire6568 by the grace of God, the prayers and support of my family and a tad bit hard work on my own, I ap please to inform you and everyone reading that I was called to the Bar of England and Wales this deferred Trinity term, by the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, yesterday on the 12th of October 2023! 🥺😁
thank you brother
This is very informative video thanks for sharing. My problem is memorising I have given my civil litigation for 3 time result is on 12 July I hope I pass this time.
🤞
Hi, do you know where past year papers for civil and criminal can be found?
Thank you so much for this! I am about to start the BTC and your videos fill me with confidence. What would you say is the feasibility of digitalizing ALL the notes and questions on an ipad? I did it for my LLB 3rd year with some success but the BTC seems much more broad..
It's possible but may consume a lot of time you don't have. Check out my free notes pack - tazaldeek.com 👈
Hi Taz, am going for the Jan intake 2023, is the notes and video still applicable ?
I passed all except civil litigation with 59
U did your resit ? if yes, any progress ?
Thank you very much, i have been looking for a civil book to help me have better understanding.
Would you say this is better than the 'be civil- second edition' book ?
Get the latest version
I study at BPP but haven't been told about the criminal litigation handbook, where could I buy one? :)
You can download my notes for free - tazaldeek.com 👈
@tazaldeek I checked everywhere couldn't find the notes. :/
The editions of the books that you told are quite old. Are these old edition books still useful today in 2023?
While they’re not the latest edition the book eloquently maps out the civil litigation process and CPR and is worth reading
hi
Did you print all of your notes? Would you suggest having notes in digital files rather than printing it? TIA
I did yes it's preference
Hi Taz although this video is 1 year old, would you still recommend the text books for someone who is writing the centralised exam this April?
Definitely the Civil lit book even though it's not up to date it still is a solid layout of the White Book
The Civil Litigation book is the author Gillian Woodworth?
Yes
What marks did you get in your centralised assessments?
BPC examinations means?
Bar Practice Course
"You have no escuse - I spent £160" - From where did you get this money? If you pay rent and the course on a monthly basis - that is not realistic.
I have passed everything but the centralised exams. It’s my second time taking them now (in a couple of days). Struggling to remember everything 😫🥲
There's too much to remember everything 😆
