I've repaired about 7 dozen of the Game Gears, i have found, myself, that i put less strain on the pads underneath when replacing capacitors that loosen the glue and bring them up and then I cut the legs with the flush cutters. Afterwards I will clean any corrosion i can with IPA and then remove the legs with the iron and then remove the old solder with the flux and wick. Then I clean all the pads one more time and put the fresh solder on. That's just the way I do it and I haven't damaged a single pad since I started doing it in that way.
Lovely job.
Thank you ☺️
I love the "...of Illusion" trilogy! Magic!
“Castle of illusion” had the best soundtrack.. in my opinion 😊

I did try snipping the legs prior to de soldering, my problem was I didn’t have a microscope so I kept loosing sight of the legs 😂
the title didnt lie, this was quite relaxing
I couldn't afford both the console and the 6 aa batteries it took.
😂 6 AA was a lot, I bet that’s where everyone’s pocket money went!
@@Sugar-Skull-Studios Yup, I watched my brother burn through batteries like snot. With the Game Gear.
@@GrindingMadness like snot 😂 😂 probably why the sales of game gear was low.. because people couldn’t afford to run it lol
Poor Game Gear!
