Your videos were soooo helpful for my trip to Israel! I was able to communicate with locals and they would all comment on my accent. Apparently I sounded pretty authentic (I was imitating you as best as I could). It broke down all kinds of barriers. Cannot thank you enough!
I was raised up in germany between 1954 and 1974. In my family we where using hebrew words for things concerned with work. My father was a butcher. Shomm means fat, Bozer means meat, Tov means good or fine, zabber means head same as Rosch and *many others* like ponum, face and seeger meens a guy. What impresses me the most that the words were used with a feeling of pride and joy. Between the lines there was a good and proud feeling swinging by using the words. Thats why i want to lern hebrew. My plan is to take visit to israel and do a seminar with basic hebrew. It is one of the things i want to do before i die.
So helpful and you are so lovely teacher, you spread good vibes . I am a teacher from Greece . Love from 🇬🇷to Jews , we always love you Israel🇮🇱 God bless you
Shalom raba. I am filled with awe as I approach this language as it is the language of the Old Testament. I have a strange fear when the Hebrew syllables fall on my ears because God spoke to Moses in this language of all languages. I wish to pray in this language to my God of Moses and David. Lessons done well. Good teacher.
I had been to Israel in last month...your videos helped me to .wish people i met in hotel, check posts, as a guides, i love Hebrew language and i m going to learn it before i visit Israel next year...Toda yaara. yom ni fla.
Todah Yaara! You have the best videos I've found so far to help me with my Hebrew. Thank you for the letter translation in Hebrew & English, and for using your words in sentences. You have simplified the learning process, and I also love your personality....you have a kind and sweet spirit!
I love this video I love Israel and I love all Jewish people the more I watch the more I want to learn. It began with wanting to learn the language and on the first podcast I immediately had to learn more about the culture. Such a beautiful people.
Thank you Oscar. We will love you too. Hebrew is the most beautiful language on the planet. Please keep up the good work and enjoy our language to the fullest!
Todah Yaara! I listened to this every day for three weeks before going to Israel. I am not good with languages. I could understand basics from conversations around me and I used the greetings often. Knowing how to ask how to use the bathroom and basic shop chat was key to my comfort. Excellent tool for a first time traveler.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I might be Christian but I love Israel and anything pertaining to Judaism. I plan on studying theology in Jerusalem and this was such a great help.
I'm learning, I'm learning! Oh yeah! This is great. Thank you so much. It takes me about 45 minutes to get through some of these videos because I pause them and write or repeat the phrases or words. I'm thoroughly using these lessons to hear/understand pronunciation, to write/copy the letters and sentences and soak in the grammar. Really loving Hebrew. It would be great to be fluent. OK, back to studying. Shalom!
I really dig the Hebrew language! I was dating an Israeli guy a few years ago… and I had to use my google translate to speak to him in Hebrew,& he was using it to speak to me in English! I loved it! It’s the language of love!…👍 So, when will there be a video on romantic phrases?… Bevakasha.
Scalom lekolam ,Ani Moe ani mi Suriya ve ani ledaper kisat Ivrit ,sheh ani Ohev Ivrit me’od . 🙈🙈🙈, your channel brought my motivation to learn back! I love how similar Hebrew and Arabic are 😍
All of the teachers from all language pods are so great! I’ve been going through all the languages of the pod101 and they’re all so fun to watch and learn from!
Thank you so very much for these wonderful Hebrew language classes I. Don't have to commute back and forth on the bus. It is hard to do that everyday when one is disabled. The other set back is dealing with vertigo.I came down with Vertigo when I was 41 L .
l love your lessons so much because you always explain good, each word from Hebrew to English ,l always watch your videos ,every day ,l didn't new anything the time l come to lsreal ,now its batter ,l can speak Hebrew even ,l understand ,thanks
Do you have a list of the Top 300 words used in Hebrew, and if so, are they organized in sentences? I used to be an English tutor. One of the things I learned over the years is that putting the top 300 words of any language into sentences, creates stronger vocabulary, and helps the learner acquire a higher-level of grammatical accuracy. I would thankful if you'd be willing to put together a free list of phrases that use the 300 most common Hebrew words. I woudl love that. My wife, kids, and I are wanting to learn Hebrew, and this woudl be very helpful. If creating these sentences and then putting together a UA-cam video would be too much trouble, then, perhaps you could create the sentences and I could arrange a blog with it and a link to youtube? I'm a Copywriter, perhaps I could help bear the burden if you're willing to make those sentences. My family and I would love it if you did put together those sentences! :-D
Shalom, I'm frm Singapore and I just recently learning Hebrew frm yr simple way of teaching.Really helps me a lot to understand. When I com to Israel perhaps can meet you
I learned my first hebrew sentences at a kibbutz, after that I learned a lot from my then boyfriends children. They kept speaking to me nonstop and I was like learning the same way children learn if they play with foreign speaking kids. Now,thirty years later I can understand a lot and I can speak somewhat but as I have no connection to Israel anymore😞since twenty years,I have forgot most of it. I still love the language and listen to Hebrew music on youtube..
Hey , am arab and i live here in Israel and i found hebrew really hard so i always talk eng to avoid awkward situation, im 18 now almost going to collage and i dont really know what to do i need to find a solution for this problem so i hope these videos help 😩 & like they way u edit and all keep the good works😝✌🏻️
Fatima, You can offer to teach someone of your age Arabic in exchange of them teaching you Hebrew. I'm sure you'll find plenty of young people who would be interested in doing that. My daughter meets once a week with an Arab girl - at city's central bus station where they both go through security check and after a year she already knows quite a lot of Arabic:)) Where there is a will, there is a way :) Good luck with your studies
Beautiful video, I really liked it, I am a teacher in Israel and also make videos on UA-cam to teach Hebrew. Glad there is another cannon like you in the field.
For me this has been the most helpful video of all. I would LOVE a follow up. The next 25 most helpful phrases or whatever? That would be amazing. Todah!!

Woooooooo... Thanks I've been learning how to write the alphabets and now can from a-lef to tuf. I love the way you're even writing them down for us in Hebrew. Had come on you tube to learn now words and phrases and how to write them. And God guided me to the right place!
I wanted to write on this channel for a little while, and I want to say that, in my opinion, this is the best channel to learn Hebrew, and you (Yaara) are a great teacher for explaining how to use the language, and make it easy to learn too! PS: I also wanted to say to, that I think that you are really cute and have a beautiful personality and that I would love to meet you, but hey.... I was too shy until now to say so haha.. Anyway, take care Yaara! Shalom Aleichem :)
I love the little explanations! I knew many of these in a basic sense from studies over the past year but still didn't know the details for most. Can't you use "שלום" to also say goodbye? Learning only on an app is not great for further learning. I'm happy I found this channel! 😊 💙 תודה
Preparing for a Christmas play where I'm a scribe in a marketplace in Bethlehem having to improve as we interact with the public, this was very helpful! making flashcards to memorize!
Thank you so much for this opportunity to learn Modern as well as Traditional Hebrew. I've so many good Great people I want to communicate with on daily basis, but somehow had that communication gap in between. Well the people themselves already know English, but when ever I see Hebrew text written, or any other general information being broadcasted on local Hebrew language based channels, I always seemed to had that barrier of communication in between. Yes I even learnt some basic phrases at the beginning, but by the passages of different time schedules I wasn't been able to properly learn & communicate with my online friends. They're good Great understanding friends of mine. But I prefer to learn it for them as well to communicate generally without any language barriers. Thank you teacher Yaara Much Love'n Respect ✊🏼💜
my most favourite hebrew word is BITACHON ... i even address one of my cousin like that... with him being a bitachon... love ur style of teaching too....
This is just superb, I've been looking for "the hebrews a learning module" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Bonincoln Hebrew Handful - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my colleague got amazing success with it.
Great video. I would have been a little more helpful if you spoke the Hebrew words a few more times with pauses in between to let us viewers say the words out loud and be sure and get the correct pronunciation. But thank you. This was very wonderful !
Thank you for this video! It will be nice If you can make a video - how to say to kids: well done! You are smart. Some nice phrases to motivate. I care for some kids from gaza and it will be perfekt to be kind to them in words they understand 😊
