Shalom raba. I am filled with awe as I approach this language as it is the language of the Old Testament. I have a strange fear when the Hebrew syllables fall on my ears because God spoke to Moses in this language of all languages. I wish to pray in this language to my God of Moses and David. Lessons done well. Good teacher.

I was raised up in germany between 1954 and 1974. In my family we where using hebrew words for things concerned with work. My father was a butcher. Shomm means fat, Bozer means meat, Tov means good or fine, zabber means head same as Rosch and *many others* like ponum, face and seeger meens a guy.
What impresses me the most that the words were used with a feeling of pride and joy. Between the lines there was a good and proud feeling swinging by using the words. Thats why i want to lern hebrew. My plan is to take visit to israel and do a seminar with basic hebrew. It is one of the things i want to do before i die.

Fatima, You can offer to teach someone of your age Arabic in exchange of them teaching you Hebrew. I'm sure you'll find plenty of young people who would be interested in doing that. My daughter meets once a week with an Arab girl - at city's central bus station where they both go through security check and after a year she already knows quite a lot of Arabic:)) Where there is a will, there is a way :) Good luck with your studies

Todah Yaara! I listened to this every day for three weeks before going to Israel. I am not good with languages. I could understand basics from conversations around me and I used the greetings often. Knowing how to ask how to use the bathroom and basic shop chat was key to my comfort. Excellent tool for a first time traveler.

I'm learning, I'm learning! Oh yeah! This is great. Thank you so much. It takes me about 45 minutes to get through some of these videos because I pause them and write or repeat the phrases or words. I'm thoroughly using these lessons to hear/understand pronunciation, to write/copy the letters and sentences and soak in the grammar. Really loving Hebrew. It would be great to be fluent. OK, back to studying. Shalom!

Do you have a list of the Top 300 words used in Hebrew, and if so, are they organized in sentences?
I used to be an English tutor. One of the things I learned over the years is that putting the top 300 words of any language into sentences, creates stronger vocabulary, and helps the learner acquire a higher-level of grammatical accuracy.
I would thankful if you'd be willing to put together a free list of phrases that use the 300 most common Hebrew words. I woudl love that. My wife, kids, and I are wanting to learn Hebrew, and this woudl be very helpful.
If creating these sentences and then putting together a UA-cam video would be too much trouble, then, perhaps you could create the sentences and I could arrange a blog with it and a link to youtube? I'm a Copywriter, perhaps I could help bear the burden if you're willing to make those sentences. My family and I would love it if you did put together those sentences! :-D

I learned my first hebrew sentences at a kibbutz, after that I learned a lot from my then boyfriends children. They kept speaking to me nonstop and I was like learning the same way children learn if they play with foreign speaking kids. Now,thirty years later I can understand a lot and I can speak somewhat but as I have no connection to Israel anymore😞since twenty years,I have forgot most of it. I still love the language and listen to Hebrew music on youtube..

Thank you so much for this opportunity to learn Modern as well as Traditional Hebrew. I've so many good Great people I want to communicate with on daily basis, but somehow had that communication gap in between. Well the people themselves already know English, but when ever I see Hebrew text written, or any other general information being broadcasted on local Hebrew language based channels, I always seemed to had that barrier of communication in between.
Yes I even learnt some basic phrases at the beginning, but by the passages of different time schedules I wasn't been able to properly learn & communicate with my online friends. They're good Great understanding friends of mine. But I prefer to learn it for them as well to communicate generally without any language barriers. Thank you teacher Yaara
