You are so lucky to be able to hike in some amazing scenery and you call it so well. The view over the lake looked amazing but a strange place to see such a big gun, looked so out of place in such a beautiful area. Indeed, especially on longer trails like Kungsleden and it doesn't cost anything. You just have to clean up when you leave the shelter.
