i have a general comment regarding this video, let me explain using monster drink case, looking in hindsight you can say that someone who sold when two big companies entered in competition made a bad decision, but i would argue if you took 100 similar examples and studied them most of the time, it could be as high as 90% (atleast it would be more than 50%) of the time that decision would be proved right, now what i am getting at it is that you cannot look at anomalies and create a strategy for yourself, in that case you will be all over the place. No one knows the future but chances of success increases when you create a personalized investment strategy for yourself and stick to it, even if that means you might lose some gains like monster company. Let me give you an analogy to explain what i am saying. for example poker is like investing, you never have complete information and you make some assumptions to make a decision. Now lets say a particular decision is correct 70% of time and incorrect 30% of the time. So you cannot create a strategy in this case that you would sometimes make that decision and sometimes you wont in order to try to hit that 70% only and not lose that 30%. That would be a bad strategy. Successfull strategy here is you always make that decision 100% of times, that will ensure that over a considerable amount of times you have made that decision you will come out on top because you are guaranteed to capture that 70%
